Great place, fantastic options, and the best staff. I called ahead to this store, as I was interested in getting a bike on sale I saw on their website, as a gift for my father, but the day I was going to go, the sale had ended. The employee that helped me, Maria, was an absolute hero, she searched for the bike I wanted and managed to not only find it exactly, but even helped me keep the sale price! I went in and she showed me each bike that was similar in case we were unsure, and was very patient as we tried each one. In the end, she got us a really good price and left us feeling confident we made the right decision with it, and could not be happier. The service really knocked it out of the park and I will definitely be sticking here for any future bike purchases. Cannot recommend enough! read more

They are careless with other peoples property but ever ready to complain about customers - who I may add without them the employees would not have a job. Trying to edit my old review. Bike is good. Not fabulous, but good. I'm satisfied that I can ride it. City Bikes never attached my lock back onto the frame properly and the front tire rubs against the frame. This is after my tune up. I'm making do with it and it rides well other than those two issues. read more

I couldn't be more disappointed with my experience here at City bikes (Aventura location). I ordered my bike, Marlins 6 small in women's frame, in mid June and was told I would receive my bike if not the last week of June if not LATEST the first week of July. I was told I would be called and come mid July I realized I was never called. I would also like to mention me and all my friends purchased our treks from City bikes, around 5 people. I purchased my bike first and then my friends purchased theirs after. Considering I purchased mine first I assumed I would get mine first. I ordered a Marlin 6 small, two ordered a Marlin 7 large, a Marlin 7 medium, and Marlin 5 medium. Me and my friend ordered our bikes with Amaury before everyone else and now it's been over a month and we are still the only ones left without a bike. I called today to speak to Amaury because I was upset at the fact that nobody was communicating what was happening with my bike. I spent a lot of money on this bike and want it already. He told me my bike, Marlin 6, was at Aventura and I could pick it up. Skeptical, I called to confirm because it's a pretty far drive for me. They told my bike was not there and it wasn't expected to arrive for another 2-3 months. This truly made me livid because I've already waited a month and now to wait another 2-3 more I just couldn't comprehend this. Also at this point, everyone has received their bikes besides me when they purchased theirs after me. This makes me livid due to the fact that I have been patiently waiting but at this point my patience has ran thin. When I spoke to Guido, he advised me the best he can do for me is a Marlin 5 in small. Although I really wanted the Marlin 6 at this point, I no longer wanted to continue waiting and dealing with this company. I settled for the Marlin 5 and although I am disappointed because it wasn't the color or model I wanted, I am thankful for Guido and Saul for helping me resolve this problem. I truly wish I had better things to say about this company but unfortunately I don't have great things to say about an establishment that kept me out of the loop with my bike. Again these bikes aren't cheap so the fact that not only did I give them my business but all my other friends, it genuinely does bother me. read more

Gustavo, who assisted me with the purchase, was very knowledgeable and helpful. While the bike was being adjusted for the test ride, Gustavo helped me pick out my accessories and made good suggestions and recommendations. It was a pleasure working with him. Gustavo installed all of my mountable accessories and I was on my way with my new bike in less than an hour. I have been so incredibly impressed with this place. I walked in back in July to buy a nice road bike. I had zero idea what I was getting myself into, but they spent time with me and made me comfortable with my purchase. Today, I was out riding and popped a tire. I drove my bike over to the store expecting to leave it through the holidays, but they took it from me right as I walked in and were done in 10 minutes. I was shocked. This is a shining example of what a bike store should be. They're a very busy store and they still make sure they have incredible customer service. Miguel is the man, he helped me pick out my next bike - ended up with a BMC Roadmachine 01. Then you have Duane, the fitting master. Dwayne is a great guy and does great fits. I've had to go back a couple of times to tweak a couple of things and he also makes time and explains the process. I really love this store, so much I brought a friend to go see Miguel and Dwayne and he got his first bike, Pinarello Paris. Don't bother going to other stores, just go here and ask for Miguel and make sure you get a fitting with Dwayne. read more

In 2012 I bought a Cannondale SuperSix from City Bikes. I got a very good deal on the bike and they took good care of me throughout that purchase. About a year and a half later, one of the Shimano Ultegra shifters broke and I couldn't find my purchase receipt. I brought the bike back to City Bikes without my receipt and the technician there went through his records, found my receipt, and proceeded to replace the broken shifter on the spot. I was and remain very impressed with how I was received and treated as a customer. The bike remains a beautiful machine to this day. read more

The shop has a great manager and sales service! Mechanics do terrific work as well. Unfortunately I still feel as though 3.5/5 stars is the right rating due to the head mechanic, who all customers go through needing work on their bike. He is extremely rude and condescending. Ask him to educate you on a simple fix performed and he tells you it's too complicated and to look up a video if you want to know. Have had several repairs, all of which the repairs were perfect but each time leave feeling like I was treated poorly by the head mechanic despite an otherwise great staff. read more

Got my new bike yesterday and lovely David helped me. I am not sure if some old reviews may have been about old staff but I had a great experience. David was knowledgable, helpful, cheerful and offered ideas and suggestions. The store was large, clean and very professional. I think if you think it's McDonald's where you get your butt kissed go elsewhere and wake up, these guys are great, have personalities, were not pushy yet totally available when I had questions or needed help-otherwise they left me alone which was perfect, as I wanted to browse and think a bit between questions. There can always be a not so great employee that gets replaced but in my experience they were lovely. Will be back for another soon! read more

My knee was hurting for the last few months while biking so I went to city bike the other day to get a proper bike fitting with Dwaine! He did an awesome job, very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I went riding today (20 mile) the knee doesn't hurt anymore and overall it felt great as it should be! Not terribly impressed. I went there looking at mountain and hybrid bikes around the time of the pandemic. They had some nice Cannondale and Trek bikes with typical prices. The salesman told me all the parks and beaches are closed now which I knew. I said I'd like to ride my bike over to Miami Beach and he said the streets there are closed too which is false. Maybe it was just a language thing which is very common in Miami. The salesman wasn't overly friendly either and somewhat arrogant. Right after I left the shop I drove over the Lehman Causeway to Miami Beach and there were people all over on bikes and all the roads were open. read more

City Bikes of Aventura saved my race weekend. I am traveling from Texas and left my Di2 charger back at home only to find very little charge left in my battery. I asked City Bikes (they were working the Challenge Miami race) if they had a charger to purchase. Instead, Miguel offered to take my charger overnight back to his store, charge it, then brought it back to me the next morning. I cannot thank this group enough. A friend of mine that's super serious about biking recommended City Bikes. I am soooo glad she did! I wanted to get into road biking after several years of having a hybrid and they found me a great deal on a full carbon, used twice Cannondale bike. They were seriously professional and accurate on their "recommendation". They measured my inseam to make sure I got the exact frame for my body and cycling type and found me the perfect bike. Included with my purchase they did a full bike fitting, which is a 1 1/2 hour session in which they sit you on your bike and measure different aspects of your body (knee to ankle and knee to hip distance, torso length) and prepare your bike to have you in the right angles when you pedal. Anything from seat and handlebars height to position of the cleats in your shoes!!!! Amazing. They also can do a seat fit, in which they analyze the way your weight distributes in the saddle when you ride. Dwayne, who does the fittings, is unbelievably knowledgeable and has great passion and attention to detail. I have to say that it has forever changed my comfort level when I ride. If you're looking for someone to help you with your purchase, Jesus is amazing. read more

I have a couple bike shops that are go to bike shops for me. City Bikes is one of them. I have been in many times in the past year. From testing bikes, trying gear, asking questions and sometimes actually buying something, they have always been a good experience. I have come in to test Cannondales, (which they have a lot of), and the guy helping me was cool the whole time. And knowledgeable. I came in to ask about different pedals, and the guy(different guy) really knew what he was talking about. I came in wanting to try different bibs and the person working with me knew things like get one size larger than you would normally. "Just trust me on this one" he said. He was right by the way. I am a big fan of the bikes they carry too. I can only vouch for the street bike side(I haven't been big on off-road in a while but they have a large selection). It's impressive. They have many bikes that range from medium to low end. And also some fantastic just to look at high end bikes. And there is no snobby feeling that you shouldn't touch the 10k bikes. Feel free, they won't be bothered. City bikes is close to me and carry my favorite bike. But honestly that's not the top reason I go. Stop in, their service is excellent. read more
