As soon as I walked in, it was easy to notice the large bike selection in the middle of the store. Joey who was cashing out another customer, greeted me and told me that he would be right with me as soon assistant he was done. I went in to get a new seat for my bike. He showed me four different seats which were all reasonably priced and also allowed me to try them out. I wasn't pressured to purchase the most expensive one. My bike also needed a few minor touch up so I went ahead and got the seat put on and serviced. Overall, had a great experience and do recommend this bike shop. read more

Drove a good distance to check this spot out bc one of friends recommended it. Small stand alone building in a spacious plaza in Pines. The people inside were nice, attentive, friendly, and super helpful. Most of not everyone there were all bikers, and either road bike or partake in mountain biking which is cool! So they really know what they're talking about. We came to get a road bike assembly and another road bike needed a tune up. Pricing was very reasonable for service especially during these times. And turnaround time was amazing. We got our services done within the day, roughly 5hours! One of the bikes needed a bar re-wrapping, but that was an extra cost and it was $10. They obviously had a variety of bikes for sale. As well as all the accessories you might need. Did I mention the personnel were awesome there. Shoutout to Sheldon and Tita Metz for helping us! I was able to try out a bike that I've been eyeing, and they let you test ride around the plaza! Can't wait to come back for that purchase! read more

We placed my bike on consignment last year before moving. We gave them the price we wanted to sell the bike for and we were told that we would be called with offers before a sale was made. We went by to pick up the bike only to find out that they sold it last month and for less then we asked for it. And then they wanted a 20% handling fee. So many things wrong with this. What if I had not stopped in would they ever have called to tell me that sold it. And then I was told if I cared about my bike I should have called them to check on it. Mind you they negotiated to 10% handling fee but still not happy and feel like people wanting to do business with them should know how they handle business transactions. read more

If you're looking for a bike definitely check with Big Wheel! After weeks of bike shopping all over Miami I came across this shop when I saw the bike brand Specialized list them as a retailer. I figured I'd give them a call and see what kind of deals they had on the bike I wanted...I found all of the larger bike shops were selling bikes at msrp while smaller ones were more likely to negotiate. Bought my bike at Big Wheels with an incredible deal and the service was stellar. In addition to the bike deal, they also offer discounts on any accessories, etc... for future purchase so I actually came back to buy gloves and a helmet. The store is packed with bikes...more than the usual bike shops so its slightly overwhelming, but if you have an idea of what you want just let the professionals take over and handle you from there. Another interesting tidbit is the fact they have tester bikes the shop owns that they allow you to test ride. A friend got to ride a top of the line carbon road bike- SWorks...anyone that knows about bikes knows thats a pretty expensive ride so the likelihood of you ever getting to ride one is pretty slim and they were nice enough to offer it with no issues. Not sure what the deal was the day I walked in but I was in that store for a good 15 to 20 mins looking at bikes with $2500 in my pocket and not once did anyone ask if I needed help. Mind you I was the only person there . Not sure if I was judged on my appearance since I had just gotten off of work and I work in the collision field so I was dirty but not filthy or sweaty. I know $2500 isn't at all near the most expensive bike but still some acknowledgment would've been nice but needless to say I walked out and went to another bike shop in the Pembroke Pines area and the treatment was night and day. Went in for a hood change on my bars , price on the hoods were listed for 20$ and labor was 8$ from the mechanic coming out to 30$ in total with tax. After leaving and arriving home I looked at my receipt to realize the hoods were priced for 13$ ( different from the price on the barcode) and to install was 15$ and it took the mechanic 5 minutes to change it..... so with the hoods being on sale they still rang it up for what the tag said and more for what the mechanic told me to tell them to still make it 30$. Not supporting this shop anymore and have been coming here for years. read more

I purchase 2 bikes from here and one went flat a week later. They were pretty nice as sales reps in order to get you to make a purchase. So we're back here today to get the inter tube to change the tire. The sign says they open at 12:30 it's 12:45 still not open. They offer a wide variety of bikes and if they don't have it they will give you the offer of ordering it. Bikes range from $100- & up 9-10k depending upon your professional requirement. They are also pretty knowledgeable about bikes they even have raining sessions to teach you how to ride. read more

I have to give a big shout out to Big Wheel Bicycle. I ordered a bike from them and there was some shipping issues with Specialized / FedEx. Between Lionel and Sandy they hung in there with me calling almost daily, dealing with FedEx and finally after almost 2 months during the Covid-19 craziness I got my new Specialized Epic HT. I purchased two Evo bikes two years ago. I was unfamiliar with the brand but was assured they were high quality. Both bikes were barely used, look brand new, and can no longer be used as many of the wheel spokes are broken. I have been told the bikes are defective and this is not normal, even on much older, heavily used bikes. Very disappointed to spend my money on junk. New wheels are very expensive (warranty has expired) and not worth replacing. Also with pandemic and lack of a way to transport, we are now unhappily bikeless. read more

Lional was very nice and professional and asked if I could wait a few minutes until Carlos came back from lunch and I did. Carlos was nice and professional and took my bikes to the back for repair. Caesar Ramirez was very helpful at this location. I knew nothing about bicycles, and had a small budget. He took the time to show me some bikes in my price range (even ones that weren't in the store), and he was very knowledgeable. He made it easy for me to understand what I was getting into. They didn't have the bike I wanted, but Cesar called the other location on Pines Blvd, which is a clearance outlet, and located the bike for me. They only had one left in stock and Cesar asked them to put it aside for me so I could try it out and he even got me a better price!! When I arrived at the outlet store, which is very close to the Taft St store, I was immediately greeted and the bike was there waiting for me. I got a good deal and I even bought a solo trunk mount to make traveling with my new bike more convenient. The associate that inspected my new bike before it left the store walked it outside and even helped me install the trunk mount and showed me how to properly secure my bike. The first time I came here they did a really nice job and gave me a great price. The second time, not so much. We had a very bad experience and they over charged. Employees are rude, and take advantage of customers. Our bike came back with a different seat, seat post, deflated tires, and lights and reflectors missing. Seems very nice at first, but then the more you realize it, the more you start to see things that are "off". I'm all for supporting local business, but in this case, I'd rather take my bike to a larger corporate store just to ensure that we don't get ripped off and that parts of our bike don't mysteriously go missing or broken. read more

What awful customer service. My husband went to this store to get a new chain for his BMX bike. He spoke to the owner who advised him on which chain to buy. After getting it home and seeing that it did not fit he brought it back to the store. When returning the chain the mechanic advised him that the chain was too tight, which was okay by my husband. My husbands issue was the chain being too thin around the sprocket causing it to bind. The mechanic didn't seem to like what my husband was telling him and even asked the owner to get him out of the store. Why? Because he disagreed with the mechanic? I don't understand. The owner gave him a new chain, which was actually cheaper then the one he had bought the first time. BUT THEN the owner refused to give him the difference back! Why? Because it wasn't it wasn't his fault that it didn't fit, and he wouldn't be able to re-sell it. Ridiculous! At a time like this, people need to be nicer, and fair! read more

After driving an hour and a half I arrived at the relocation only to learn that the bike that they where holding for me had been sold. I never normally write reviews but this time I had to. My initial experience was terrible because the salesman there by the name of Lionell seemed as if he did not want to help. It felt as if I had to beg for his assistance. He gave me a quote that was $40 above the correct price and told me to it would take 7 days if i wanted to get my bike fixed. All i wanted was 2 sets of bike tires changed. Two other salesmen Andrew and Tony intervened and gave me the help i wanted. They are the reason I am giving this place five stars. I am amazed that a business as good as this place would have such a sloppy and lousy salesman like Lionell. read more
