When I called a number of contractors for quotes, he was the only contractor who did more than look at the chimneys that needed repair. He rapped on the stucco to see where it was sound and where it was loose. He took his time examining it. He even went on our roof to inspect the chimneys from the top, returning with photos of areas of issue, and described the work he recommended to be done. His proposal listed many more items he would repair -- as compared to what other contractors had listed in their quotes -- yet his price was in the range of the other contractors. More bang for the buck, as they say. I am very satisfied with the results, and recommend him to others whose chimneys are in need of service.

Murtagh remediated the stucco on our house. He attached a 5 year warranty to his work. We had the…read morehome inspected by a professional before warranty expired and EVERYWHERE Murtagh remediated FAILED inspection. Murtagh even brought out his own inspector out who did the same standard test with the same failed results. Is he honoring his warranty? Nope. He has stopped returning calls and emails. It's been months now with nothing from him. We have hired an attorney and have begun a lawsuit. Beware. They do not stand by their work. He talks a good talk but when he does bad work he disappears.

4/13/23 I requested a quote for a new bay window and some stone work on our exterior. I was told…read morethat someone would be coming out at around 9:30 am- on a day we agreed upon. An hour past the appointment time, I contacted Campos and was told that the estimator would arrive "soon". The guy did finally show up and was pleasant. We got a quote of nearly 12,000 dollars and we have already spent 3,000 on the window itself. The quote was odd- just a bulk number- no break down of costs so really- we had no idea what we would have been paying for. Plus we were directed to choose stone from 2 sites- neither of which had pricing. Things that make you go "Hmmmmm. .." I requested a breakdown and was told I would get it- but I still have not. At this point I'm not interested. Added to our quote was a little "extra" regarding plywood- if plywood was needed- they would charge us 250.00 per sheet when we know the retail is only around 55$. I understand that the company needs to make money but that is quite a mark up at several hundred percent. As my husband put it- he was skeptical of the entire quote based on that alone. I'm sorry that we cannot do business. I don't doubt the work based on other reviews but I can't seem to get past even the first hurdle.

He called Horst and Son and they never even came to look at it! Some "Family" business, I'm sure the founders are rolling over in their graves!
