Target, Old Navy, Game Stop and Dollar Tree all sit near each other. Want Fried chicken, you can hit up Popeye's or JR Crickets. Currently they are building a RaceTrac gas staion. I'm interested in how they are going to compete with the BJ's gas that directly up the street. It probably won't be too bad since you won't have to have a membership and you can purchase a slushie there. Publix, Walgreens and a Super Warehouse liquor store all sit near each other. There's a Zaxby's and Movie Theather in that same area. DSW, LA Fitness and Bank of America share a parking lot with Jason's Deli. As you can see, this shopping center has it all. If you need to get the party started. Hop by the Party City store also. Traffic and get thick at certain times of the day. Especially in the after 5pm hour.

And I was prepared to join in on the protesting based on the developer's less-than-stellar reputation. However ... I think the shopping center has worked out quite well for everyone involved. Most everyone, anyway. Great selection of stores, the traffic to and from doesn't disrupt the local streets too much (they close off the entrance/exit by the church on Sunday mornings) and the parking is, well, not the worst. Helps if you make use of the entrance behind Lowe's and Target. Lowe's, Target, Kroger, Barnes & Noble, UPS, Five Guys, Best Buy: all places I shop. Major downside is some criminal activity that occurred in the below-ground parking structure recently. Hopefully, Atlanta's finest (who maintain a presence) and contract security have that in hand now.

The Edgewood Retail District is a big shopping center located just south of Little Five Points in…read moreeclectic Edgewood. It's the only large-scale shopping center of its type in the neighborhood and unlike almost any other development in the surrounding area because it's so suburban-like. The development opened in 2005, the same year as Atlantic Station in Midtown, around the peak of the last construction boom. About a decade old now, this shopping center is still in good shape. It's relatively nice and clean. There are multiple buildings, all made of brick, and plenty of parking including an underground garage. On weekends, it gets slammed, especially around Target. During peak periods, traffic on Moreland entering and exiting the property can test one's patience. Alternate routes include taking Caroline St. or even Hardee St. at the far south end of the district. Major tenants here include the aforementioned Target, Barnes & Noble, Bed Bath & Beyond, Office Depot, Best Buy, Lowe's, Kroger, and Ross. Several local/regional restaurant chains include American Deli, Figo, Willy's, Five Guys, Ru San's, Shane's Rib Shack, and Uncle Maddio's Pizza Joint. Most of the retail and dining options feel run-of-the-mill and generic, though there are a few highlights. They include the beehive, which is a boutique store filled with local, handmade items (apparel, accessories, housewares, jewelry, etc.) and Morelli's Gourmet Ice Cream (2nd location). I prefer the Morelli's in Edgewood over the original Morelli's nearby in Ormewood Park because it has the same great ice cream except indoors with more seating and air conditioning. While sprawling, the shopping center is very walkable with wide, evenly paved sidewalks. It's within 10 to 15-minute walking distances of two MARTA rail stations: the Inman Park-Reynoldstown station and the Edgewood-Candler Park station. Edgewood Retail District is a very practical/functional shopping center. It'd be nice to see more variety and uniqueness when it comes to tenants (less chains), especially considering this development is intown. However overall, it is A-OK. My only gripe with this shopping center, and it's a major one, is the lack of safety. That's the main reason for my two-star rating. In the last year or two, there have been brazen, violent crimes committed in the parking lot and in the parking garage. The physical assaults and/or robberies have occurred both at night and in broad daylight. The property owners/management need to do a much better job with the security around here.

Let me run down the stores: Sally's Beauty Supplies, Michael's, Homegoods, Marshall's, Ross, Hancock Freakin' Fabric, my breasts grew with each new store I was dragged to. Yeah, there's a Bennie's Shoes there, but ever since they crossed Sidney Marcus, even THAT place has chicked up. The women, the womyn, love it. I watched them dart back and forth while the eyes of we hapless husbands and boyfriends would occasionally meet, a moment of understanding and pain before we returned to our broken, vacant, thousand yard stare. The wife cooed over some, what is that? A chicken-shaped tea pot? WTF? And wait, we have to go to Michael's to get yarn? How come we can't just get them at Hancock Fabrics? They don't sell YARN? What do you mean "yarn's not a fabric." They sell fucking CHAIRS. You can't tell me that's a fabric. I may be a guy, but I'm not an idiot! Oh, but you are, dear sir, you are. At Michael's, my wife pointed out an elderly couple. The husband had picked out and was in the process of buying $60 of plastic autumn leaves. My wife expounded, "See that? That guy actually helped his wife pick those leaves out!" "Honey, his wife had 50 years to break him." OW! At least turn your wedding ring around before you punch me! One thing, though. If you're a single guy, I'd be remiss in pointing out what prime territory Buckhead Crossing is. In Michael's alone, you find sorority girls shopping for things to make posters with, MILFs buying styofoam balls for their kids' science fair solar system project, overly romanticized nascent cat ladies purchasing scrapbook materials. It's all there and with nary an alpha male in sight. Just create a believable reason for why a single heterosexual male would be found trolling the aisles (the picture frames are always good as is the line of questioning, "Excuse me, can I ask you something? Do you think my mom/sister/niece would like this?" Oh, and guys? You're WELCOME.) Alas I am no longer single, so Buckhead Crossing is of limited utility to me. I may buy a shirt once in a while from Marshall's, but that's a 15 minute project tops and not a 3 hour expedition. If you're ballsy enough, I recommend either a trip up Piedmont Road to visit Oxford Comics or a Sidney Marcus Best Buy run as revenge. ("Babe, while we're out, I've got to pick something up too.") Keep in mind, as satisfying as this may be at the time, do at your own peril, for hell hath no fury than a woman being forced to wait in a comic book shop. The going-half-mad - The Ross and Marshall's are pretty hit-n-miss as far as selection goes lately. Fatburger - it's OK, but I wouldn't say it's great. (see my other review on that!) and I'm pretty sure there's an eye clinic, but I haven't checked that one out first hand... Overall, you're likely to find what you need somewhere near here!

Here too similar to Lennox there's a lot of parking that has been prohibited for anyone to park for free and rather it's being reserved for you to pay for valet parking. So if you're lucky, you'll find a good spot. At this mall, there is a sax Fifth Avenue but there is no Neiman Marcus. This mall also has the Hermes store which was the real reason for the visit. However, it's proximity to the Nobu hotel and the Noble restaurant is also very convenient. I will say this place is filled with security, which is really impressive and it is sad though that there are quite a few stores in here that are still empty looking for tenants. But if you're looking for super high-end and Neiman Marcus and Lennox Malk doesn't meet your criteria drive a little bit further less than a mile away and you are exactly where you need to be. I loved being here. The ambience is fantastic. I just wish they had more choices for food and more stores in the empty spaces.

With the size of this mall, I would expect all parking to be fully open to anyone and everyone who wants to come in here and park and shop. What is especially great about the mall is that it has stores that I have never seen anywhere in the Midwest area for example Sandro and Maje. So glad I was able to walk into those stores and see their product line and this is the first time I've done it outside of Europe Anything you could ever want you can find it at the mall so please come here if you're ever in need of anything and it's hectic on the weekends as expected, but the place is fantastic!!!

The bread was so hard and crunchy that when I bit into it the pieces nearby began to crumble!!! I also put "extra honey mustard and mayo" in the special request box... there wasn't either on the sub at all!!! I was so disappointed. I ordered online and paid for it beforehand, and so I wasn't aware before I left the store. Publix no longer believes in quality or maybe that's just here!! A Florida Publix would have NEVER!!!!
