Updating my review to warn others not to come here because I had 8 teeth root canaled and crowned at City Dental Azusa from the year 2020-2022 and they all continue to hurt, crack, fall apart, and rot underneath my crowns as you can see in this picture. I went back for the severe pain still after a week and the dentist sent me to the specialist who wanted to charge me $6,000 for a whole surgery to fix the work City Dental did! I let City Dental know and the dentist said, "Oh! Well let me try to root canal them again." The pain after treatment here sent me to multiple specialists who all said the same thing, "Whoever did this to you did subpar work and used cheap materials." I am very sad because I loved going there but one by one I AM LOOSING the TEETH THAT WERE TREATED HERE. Dr. Sam, you are amazing but please supervise your dentists to check their ethic, work practice, and integrity in providing long lasting teeth and service PLEASE! I have been to many Endos and quoted THOUSANDS of dollars to get implants!! The root canals and crowns I had at other dentists have outlasted the work I had done at City Dental Azusa. I asked if I had the right company, and she responded yes, with a curt tone. It was almost as if she was saying, duh. The employees who answer the phone are on the front line and are the first impression. If she indicates what is to come, I am deeply worried and will continue to look for a new provider. Dr. George Really help me through a lot of my fear about coming to the dentist office, I had to get a tooth pulled. I expressed to him How scared I was to h4ave6 this happen. He took his time to talk to me about what was gonna be done and he gave me a pat my shoulder and said everything was going be all right, Once I was ready Dr. George pulled my tooth in less than a minute with absolutely no pain or struggle. Afterward he sat down and talked to me and said that everything was going all right and Made sure he gave me Antibiotics, mouthwash, and everything I needed for after the procedure. Best dentist! I'm not an easy case... multiple root canals over the years, a bridge, fillings, crowns... you name it. And Both Dr. Jeff and Dr. Sam have done a great job with all of these. They're super knowledgeable and helpful I've healed well after all procedures. Currently going to Dr. Jeff - he recently pulled a wisdom and performed two root canals. Front receptionist great with their customer service. Although I am very disappointed with the work that has been done on several of my teeth. I have been going to this dentist for more than 7 years. I had to get two root canal retreatments and crowns for two of my back tooth's last year. About a month ago I had to get one of those tooth extracted due to it getting infected, my crown only lasted about 1 year. This is frustrating because I trusted them with my teeth now I have to pay thousands of dollars to get an implant. I was in hopes of getting helped when I went to tell them I had infection as they were the ones responsible because they did the work, but the doctor that saw me only took a Quick Look and said the only solution is to get my tooth extracted. Aside from that the other tooth that I got the same procedure done (root canal retreatment/ crown) is also starting to get infected. This is very frustrating because now I'm going to have to get two implants! I don't not recommend coming here for any treatment regarding root canals or crowns. read more

my first visit, although the dentist was very late, it was okay because he did a good job taking care of my root canal. However since then it has not been pleasant. When ask what I would like for my permanent crown, I indicated all porcelain. 2 weeks later, they ordered the wrong permanent. And at my first visit I was told my cleaning would be done at my second appointment. Guess what? Never happened. It feels like there's lots of miscommunication. It's almost a month and I'm still with a temporary tooth. Let's hope my third visit will be my last. read more

I had an experience as if I was in a horror film. Don't let these 5 stars fool you...I was fooled. I had a 5:00 appointment to get one wisdom tooth pulled and i didn't leave until 7:15. I was booked with 2 other people at the same time and this place closes at 6. After my x-rays, I was waiting for 15 minutes to see the dentist. Then he trys to convince me to get all 4 teeth taken out. I had to say no 3 times for him to settle for my answer. They proceed to inject the anesthetic in my gums...i wait 30 minutes before he comes back to start pulling the tooth. Before that, i stopped the assistants walking by 3 different times to tell them i still have feeling and it's not numb. Each time i stop someone, they tell me ' he's going to give you more'. After he finishes pulling someone else teeth out...he comes to me. He injects me again and right away starts pulling. I can feel about half the pain i should be feeling. Within about 15 minutes, he injects me another 3 times because i can still feel the pain. My tooth was in pieces so he decides to take a break to attend another patient. I wait another 15 minutes. While i wait...i can feel everything, especially after all the drilling he cracked my tooth in half and i can feel it. He finally comes back and finishes the job, but not without criticism to me because he couldn't get my tooth out easily. I left the facility with no intentions of going back. Warning to everyone...the dentist pictured on here is not the one that tended to me. read more

Came here for my annual visit...haven't gone for like a few years. I knew I had some issues that needed to be dealt with, but the previous dentist was so horrible and wanted to charge $6000 that I simply refused to address the problem. But this place is great. Very nice staff. Only one dentist and a couple of staff but they are pretty much efficient. Didn't have to wait much before my husband and I were seen. Got the x-rays done and doc came to discuss the findings and recommendations fairly quickly. I was scared to see another horrendous estimate but it wasn't that bad. I do have dental insurance, albeit not that great. But at least they called and checked what my out of pocket cost is. And they didn't push or guilt trip u I to anything. The tech said she can check with the doc to see what is priority and then see what I think. I was also able to get most of the procedures done the same day too. I had 4 wisdom teeth extraction under local anesthesia with one being impacted and resulting in a molar needed a root canal, and a deep cleaning with minor touch ups here and there for $1500. Not dirt cheap but for what it entails, it was more manageable than $6000. The dentist was very nice, professional, and had great bedside manners. He explained things thoroughly and, again, never pressured me to do anything. Stupid West Coast Dental in Baldwin park was my previous dentist. I was there 4 hours for my first visit and nothing more than the x-rays and a guilt trip over a $6000 estimate was done. I just wanted a simple cleaning, and they refused to do it that day. They made me go back the next day...and I waited 2 more hrs for 10 min of work by the hygienist. They said they checked the insurance I had. BS! I got a detailed quote and when I compared to my insurance, most of it was supposed to be covered. I have to go back 2 more times to fit the crown, and I'm actually excited to go because I found a great dental office! read more

I hadn't been to the dentist in about 10 years because I had no insurance. Then along came Obamacare and I now have been assigned to City Dental Centers. All I can say is: THANK GOODNESS!!!!! They were all SO kind and sensitive and nobody yelled at me, which I had been afraid of, seeing as how I had not been to a dentist for so long. I had been PETRIFIED because I had been experiencing some pain in my gums. Well, it turns out I had a mild gum infection and had to have a deep cleaning and had to use chlorhexidine mouthwash for two weeks. That was it! No cavities, no fillings, and no pain. A little discomfort from getting novocaine for the cleaning, but that was it. I HIGHLY recommend this office! They take pretty much all insurance including HMO and PPO. read more
