What a way to start 2025!! Finally found the BEST donuts in Lubbock. What comes to mind when I replay in my mind my thoughts about trying their donuts and kolaches for the first time.......Huge, pillowy, fluffy, flavorful, tasty, perfect and heaven. My go to donut is often hard to find, it is a chocolate frosted yeast donut with fresh coconut. City Donut is so accommodating, they MADE me one on the spot. To make the experience even better, they placed it in a fold over container to ensure that the masterpiece made it come without the coconut falling off. The Long John was the biggest I have ever seen. It was so big I had to save 1/2 of it for the next morning. The kolache dough was soft and not too sweet, the sausage was hot and juicy and the jalapeno was just the right amount. LOVE City Do-Nuts

I've been coming here for the past few years now and I absolutely love it. The owners are so sweet and friendly. They recognize me when I come in and ask how I've been, which is always such a great start to the day. The donuts are delicious, honestly my favorite here in Lubbock. And they're super inexpensive too which is a lovely plus. The shop itself is cute and always nicely decorated inside. Overall great donut place!

My wife and I started our 6 year anniversary off right this morning by getting to try City Donuts for the first time. By far, the best donut shop in Lubbock! This absolutely my favorite donut in Lubbock. I am a original glazed donut man and these are the best. Staff is courteous, the building could use a little paint inside and out. Don't let that scare you best place to get your donuts to go. read more

These people are very rude if you come in dressed in work clothes. I used to go in every day. One day I was wearing work clothes and they ignored me for twenty minutes. I'll never spend another dime with these people. It isnt a race thing= if you look poor, they treat you like crap. read more

For donuts close to campus this place is fine. Better than KK (I'm not of fan) but by far not the best donuts I've had. The kolache was a disappointment, other reviews on here said it tasted like a hotdog and the meat part definitely did. The donuts were decent but had definitely been sitting out a while. The donut holes, on the other hand, were glorious, you need to get about 5 dozen (don't worry, they're only 50+ calories a pop). They don't have boxes so if you're getting a bunch of donuts it'll be a little difficult to carry. We went at 11 and the selection was low, as you'd expect. Sketchy on the inside, sketchy on the outside. The door makes an obnoxious noise every time anybody enters or exits, we had a good laugh with the others in line with us. It took about 5 minutes to get through the line. I'll be trying other donut shops but for all you TTU freshmen out there, this place is worth a visit. read more

Kolaches used store bought sausage. Donusts were nothing special. Could prepare their breakfast menu in a microwave at home for half the price. Nothing was fresh. read more
