Amazing food, service and cleanliness! It was the closest place to our hotel (La Quinta Southwest), DO NOT stay there!) and the included hotel breakfast sucked so we came here. So grateful we did. I wish I'd taken a picture before we dug in but everything was perfectly presented, fresh, no grease and our server Brianna was the way of sunshine we needed. A fresh, inviting decor and friendly smiles made for an exciting start of my morning. The menu offers four egg omelettes, pancakes, and lots more. My omelette was delicious and perfectly cooked. We stumbled upon the Toasted Yolk and are certainly glad we did. The food is fabulous and beyond generous. The drinks are excellent. But what makes the toasted yolk wonderful is Schuyler, the manager, bartender, and general overall do it all everything. I think he knows every customer who comes in. He treats everyone special and I suspect he has a personal relationship with every person who takes impeccable care of every customer. He makes helpful suggestions for orders. But more than that, he knows his customers he knows what they would like and what they wouldn't. I have never been treated so personally in a restaurant ever and we liked him so much. we went back to the next day. Unfortunately, I had to leave Lubbock or I would've gone back today. It's my new favorite place for brunch in Lubbock. I cannot recommend it highly enough for the food, for the drink, and for excellent treatment. read more

The menu was pretty expansive which I really liked as someone that isn't the hugest fan of breakfast food. I ordered the half soup and salad, and my husband ordered the cinnamon apple granola French toasted. I loved the chicken and wild rice soup. The rest of the food was pretty average for a breakfast place. Overall the service was sub par and the food was good. We had Toasted Yolk again today (1/29) and had the same experience as last time.
