Came on Sunday around 9:15am the place looked pretty packed but me and my family of 4 were able to sit right down and immediately. I ordered French toast which was great! Good size and tasted amazing My sister ordered the omelette which we were splitting and we asked for no onions and jalapeños and they still put it inside and we originally wanted to substitute the biscuit for the French toast and couldn't do that. The food here is wonderful and though pricy, is worth it. Especially for lubbock dinning. They have creative spins on breakfast ideas and norms, to well executed and portioned meals. The waitress was very patient with my kids and during peak breakfast time. It was a little loud in the eating area, but the waiting area was quiet. We stumbled upon the Toasted Yolk and are certainly glad we did. The food is fabulous and beyond generous. The drinks are excellent. But what makes the toasted yolk wonderful is Schuyler, the manager, bartender, and general overall do it all everything. I think he knows every customer who comes in. He treats everyone special and I suspect he has a personal relationship with every person who takes impeccable care of every customer. He makes helpful suggestions for orders. But more than that, he knows his customers he knows what they would like and what they wouldn't. I have never been treated so personally in a restaurant ever and we liked him so much. we went back to the next day. Unfortunately, I had to leave Lubbock or I would've gone back today. The menu was pretty expansive which I really liked as someone that isn't the hugest fan of breakfast food. The grits lacked flavor, the French toast were too dry, and my favorite part of the meal, which was the alcoholic beverage didn't have a good balance between the flavor of the drink and the alcohol that was added.
