Garbage. We build our home last year and the builder use this company for the flooring. Literally in the first month living in the house flooring start chipping. They came multiple times to fix. And I just keep finding more and more. Reported that to a warranty company for out builder and they just keep blaming that it's high foot traffic area and that's w me have pets that's why and that they just keep replacing damaged boards or patching them up instead of replacing the whole flooring. Quote and initial meeting were professional and timely. However, the work crew was constantly hours late and communication was poor. Even though the job was only to refinish existing floors in 3 bedrooms, I had to constantly call on a daily basis until the job was completed. When I did call, the customer support was brash and appeared to find no issue with the work crews showing up halfway through their work day. When the rooms were finally finished, our carpet in the hallway joining the bedrooms was stained in multiple spots and the thresholds for each room were never properly replaced. They left the carpet edges all completely unfinished and frayed. When I called to ask when someone would be back to finish the transition areas, I was told that it was an additional fee (even though it was explicitly requested in the original quote). Fast forward to present day. It has been a couple years and the quality of the floors is poor. The filling prior to refinishing and sanding the floors was minimal at best. The planks are chipping and splintering, and the clearcoat is already fading, even in areas where there is virtually no foot traffic. I would certainly recommend looking elsewhere, even if their pricing is the best. read more

Nice people super friendly. The prices are ok however the quality is bad. The timing was much longer than promised on the job that we hired them do to. They were to sand stain and finish the hardwood floors in my home. The finish is streaky and scratches super easy. Anything will scratch this floor my dog, my shoes, a box that was on the floor that got pushed. Needless to say my floor is covered in scratched after 1 week of it being finished. He offered to come do another coat however it would not fix the scratches and he said my dog just needed her nails cut, which she gets done every week at daycare. Nice people good stain color terrible quality in products. Maybe they are better for non hardwood flooring. read more

We have a house with pine floors from 1902. Mind you, the upstairs was extremely messed up.. I would love to give city Flooring Technologies a good review but was let down too many times. The employees were consistently late, out of the two employees that were at my house... only one worked. The other would sit on his phone and kind of lay low. Not only did the people not clean up (layer of sawdust on everything). THE KID TOOK A DUMP UPSTAIRS AND SPRAYED SHIT ALL OVER MY FLOOR AND WALL AND DIDNT CLEAN IT OR TELL ANYONE!!!!!! My wife and I had not moved into the house at the time, my father found it the next day and called me gagging. My Dad, bless his heart, cleaned it up. :( I told joe the owner and he talked to his employees about being late, etc. it didn't change anything. If anything, it caused animosity. I asked joe for some stain to be left behind to color match and of course.. didn't follow through. I called a week later to ask and they said someone will drop it off to me... NOPE. Screw this place. THE ONLY REASON THEY GOT 2 STARS IS BECAUSE THEY ACTUALLY DID AN OK JOB IN SPOTS. THOSE SPOTS ARE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN THOUGH! BEWARE! read more

I highly recommend City Flooring for your all of your flooring needs. We hired them to sand and refinish our oak floors and they look amazing! In fact, they look like new oak floors. The owners are very professional and very kind. They went out of their way to make sure that we are happy. The crew worked hard and finished the job right on time. And, the price was great! great job we thought the hard wood floor was not repairable. owning 5 dogs over a period of 30 yrs. there were a lot of stains. City Flooring were able to make these old floors look almost brand new. very little dust and good post clean up. read more

I've been trying to get City Flooring to repair the hard wood and carpet in my house that was not properly installed for well over a year. We've literally have had 6 appts. scheduled with them to come do the repairs for carpet and hardwood that was not properly installed. The hard wood in my great room is is loose and coming up, the carpet up stair was not stretched into place causing it to lump over in 5 or 6 different spots upstairs. The installer did not hammer down the nails they use to hold the carpet down which we've had stab our feet on numerous occasions. We try to hammer them down our selves as we find them but there is literally hundreds of these nails all over. Each time they didn't show, including today we had to call to see what time they would arrive because they were late only to find out that they would not be arriving for some reason or another. They lie and say they do not remember ever coming out to our house but yet I have numerous text back and forth with the owner Joe discussing the issue and they day he came and personally looked at my issues with all the flooring and carpet at my house. I'm now after countless attempt of trying to get them to fix the problem they caused by poorly installing my carpet and floor having to hire someone to do this on my own. I've already wasted numerous times leaving work to accommodate them when they should have all along been trying to accommodate a customer that spent thousands of dollars with them! I normally don't do things like this post but this company's customer service is far beyond bad. Never use these guys!!! read more

I had City Flooring refinish my entire down stairs along with the staircase going to my upper level. A two day job took over a week. The whole area to be worked was bare, no furniture, no appliances, nothing in the way at all, clean canvas to work on and it still took a week. I even had to reschedule delivery of my kitchen appliances in order for them to finish a job that was scheduled weeks in advance. Why did it take so long? Well it seems the employees aren't trained on how to apply the product they get paid to apply and the owner has NO idea how to schedule work orders. With my job getting started hours later than promised, the guys leaving to "do another job" and supposed to come back that day but not doing so and different workers showing up eventually, I'm surprised it didn't take longer! Then there was the uneven coverage, streaks, and drips I had to have them re-sand to try and match the dried mess they made. I paid to have the stairs sanded and poly-ed and it looked like a 5 year old went to town with a hand full of sand. I request for them to re-sand the stairs but I'm not so sure they did. After all said and done, and the bill was paid I took a look at the shoddy work and had to shake my head. Again, a LOT of uneven coverage, lines where there was overlapping and streaks. I didn't have time to have them redo all the work that I hired them to do the first, and second time, so I just let it go. Side note...I refinished the entire upstairs myself not long before I had this work outsourced, it took me 4 days and it looks great. I hired City Flooring due to the timing of the for-mentioned appliances being delivered (again, had to reschedule) and other projects I had going on. $2,000 later I'm disappointed. Why am I writing a review? I was painting the risers of my staircase and was up close to the horrible work that was done. Swirl marks from poor sanding, roughness in the wood grain that were sanded, twice, and rows of dried drips that collected on the underside of the tread of each step. All these things made me realize that others should know to stay away for this company. read more
