Period. Despite the brand being carried in countless retailers for over a decade, this is it and worth a visit for the "Fade Wall", dressing rooms (4) and flooring alone. You'll have to trust me here....  The center of the store is like a Lazy Susan complete with their latest/greatest on display. It really provides you the opportunity to not only see what's new but feel. In some cases, smell - Scratch n' Sniff baby! It can be overwhelming as no two pairs are alike so take your time. Having been a long time N&F customer, this was the first opportunity I'd ever had to try on such a huge selection of denim styles and fits without dealing with returns. Furthermore, I could check out the much slept-on shirting, hoodies and t-shirts I hadn't seen at other retailers. Strongly encouraged IMO.  Sales Associate Shane was patient and clearly knowledgeable. I could not be more appreciative for his time. He answered ALL my questions and BS'd while juggling hemming and other customers. Give the man a raise!  While I ended up having to order online due to being sold out (sizing), I could not have made the best purchase without Shane's guidance and recommendations. Much appreciated. It also pre-dated Buffalo Exchange at least two decades: They are ultra serious about their brands and quality in a Japanese-strict way, so it makes it a treat if you're stopping through to look! The women who work there may not be friendly and may even chat away in Japanese with each other while you're there but they're NEVER, EVER talking about you (it's like when you're at a Duane Reade/Walgreens or other chain store in the city where the BIPOC workers are bored, have no buy-in, and need something to do*). You'll get ALLL the friendliness you need in an equivalent store in Japan: Maybe even too much, honestly. My partner was treated well consigning a fall jacket, and that's done partly electronically now, including making the appointment and receiving your estimate. The employees at Beacon's Closet may be more polite but they make you wait around for your estimate like a dog. Tokyo Joe's does not: They will send it to you afterwards. *There's also high turnover of merchandise in the tiny store: When you're not there there's a ton of activity behind the scenes.

I got a pair of cute Rag and Bone jeans for ~$45 so definitely a good cop in my opinion! I was a bit....nervous though about the process to try on the pants. At first glance, there doesn't seem to be a fitting room, but when I asked the sales associate, he said there was. Well....it turns out the fitting room is just a very small area in the middle of the store where they pull some curtains around you. I was kind of nervous because anyone could just walk into the curtains at any point and see me changing. Fortunately, I had a friend with me who I made guard the curtains, but I feel like this would've been a nerve wracking experience for individuals shopping alone :(
