    Spinach dip. Just ok
    Summer D.

Hotspot right here. Wandered in on a rainy Tuesday around 630 and bar was full with many tables filled. I was just at another pub and they recommended getting a snack from here. Sat at the bar and the bartender was attentive. Maybe a little too much. You ever have a bartender use your name like every other word? Just a bit annoying. Anyhow, bartender said he only works once/week and wasn't knowledgeable about the beer. I told him IPAs and he started recommending everything but IPAs but he had that charming smile. I switched and got a glass of wine because he don't know whats up. Decent Pinot grigio. I ordered the mac n cheese bites ( must have according to a local down the street) and spinach dip. Now the bites were OK but that spinach dip tasted like a tub of cream cheese. Just bar crap in my opinion. Another spot to me to come for drinks and get eats elsewhere. Music was on point and the patrons talk to you like they met you before. Again no masks so additional star reduction for that

Our first stop on our date day! Only the second time we've ever visited. Love their TouchTunes jukebox! We ordered beverages while pursuing the menu. I asked for a Bulliet Manhattan. We decided to split the Chicken Quesadilla and a side of tots. Our beverages came out and I immediately noticed the red hue of my Manhattan. The was so much maraschino cherry juice in it, it totally overwhelmed it. I couldn't taste the sweeet Vermouth and barely the bourbon! I asked for draft beer when I finished it. On the bright side, the Quesadilla was delicious! Huge and served with a fair salsa and sour cream. The tots were hot and crispy! I really don't understand the disconnect with most of the bars in Mansfield and Manhattans? What's so difficult of pouring 2 oz of bourbon, 1 oz of Sweet Vermouth, a few dashes of bitters over ice, stirring, and straining into a coupe? No cherry juice. No Dry Vermouth. No nothing else! One of the simplest cocktails that every bartender should know!

    Loving this bar!

Not spectacular but not bad, either. Stopped in for lunch. The bar was a very welcome sight (I mean, how cool?!) Hostess said I could sit anywhere I'd like; the dining room was probably 3/4 full, but I was able to find a seat. Ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap with sweet potato fries. Wrap was a little smaller than I'd like, and the fries were a tad crunchier than I'm used to, but overall it was all good. Staff was quick and friendly. I'd come back but maybe during an off time

Dirty glass with a floater inside.

We were visiting from out of town and we were starving. I put "food near me" into Google and City Grille and Bar was the closest thing so we went with it. I noticed right away that the hostess wasn't overly friendly but didn't hold it against her because not everyone can be as chipper as me. The waitress came and took our drink order. She must have been having a bad day too because never smiled and was all business. When she brought my water I first noticed the floater in the cup, then the dirty glass. I didn't even tell her...not worth it. I just let it sit there. My husband ordered the soft pretzel appetizer. It comes with beer cheese but I asked for a side of ranch as well. The Pretzels came out super quick. They appeared as if they were pulled from box of Super Pretzels that you get from the freezer section at your local grocery store. I could have bought probably 2 boxes for the price of that appetizer. The beer cheese that came with it was not tasty at all and it had a curdled appearance (). The ranch she brought tasted sour or vinegary. I've never tasted ranch like that before. Maybe it was bad? I don't know. I used it once and that was it. It's definitely not like me to leave the ranch cup full. My husband got boneless wings that didn't look too bad. I got fish tacos. Two breaded little fish in a tortilla on top of what tastes like tub coleslaw. I ate one and left the other. While we ate I watched the waitress and the hostess interact with the customers. Both were very dry. I never saw them smile or make polite conversation to any of the customers. When the waitress brought our food she just set it down in front of us and left. Like literally a drop and go situation. As she walked away I spoke for her under my breath "Is there anything else I can get for you? No? Ok enjoy!" Nothing like that. So bizarre. At the end on our bill I noticed they charged $.89 for the ranch I ordered for the pretzels? Really? A tiny cup of ranch? I've never been charged for a side of ranch before. What made it worse was that the ranch was rancid and I didn't even eat it. Not a place I would hit up again next time we're in town. Do better City Grill and Bar.

    Pear cider.

We were seated promptly by the large front window on a Satuday evening. We were greeted by our waitress right away and she patiently waited as I made my drink order. I ordered a pear cider versus a beer and I wish that I had just ordered a diet or a water. I am not a cider drinker. So, I had a hard time drinking a pint and left about 1/4 of it and ended up ordering a diet anyhow. Everyone ordered a burger at my table but I ordered the grilled chicken teriyaki wrap. To cut to the chase, the combination of lettuce and teriyaki did not marry up. If they would have used julienned carrots (raw or blanched) with the cucumbers and maybe a little bit of summer squash or spinach, it would have been a completely different experience. I almost fell out of my chair when the waitress recomended the wraps to the table next to us. (NOOOoooo!) Hopefully, they picked a better option. I ordered cole slaw as my side dish and it seemed to be the kind from a plastic tub. (Blech!) It was very bland and lacked color. Cole slaw is so easy to make. I don't understand why restaurants cannot prepare it from scratch and use a tried-and-true creamy dressing or vinegar-based dressing. It was a bummer eating their version...I should have asked for hot sauce and made it a "buffalo slaw". Overall, I wished I had just heated up the leftover pizza from Besta Fasta pizza we had in our hotel fridge from the night before. I am not a local and maybe locals' have a favorite menu item? If so, mention it. It would help if the restaurant had a specialty item maked on the menu so when new people try their food, they know what to order the first time they go.

Then it felt like our server just disappeared. One of the other servers heard us talking while she was servicing her table and told us that they had some event going on outside so food was taking longer to come out. No update from our own server. I had to ask ther other server for another drink. It was kind of irritating to see tables that came in after us getting their food before us. Now onto the food - it was pretty good. We all enjoyed our sandwiches. I got a reuben with fries. The rye bread on my reuben was nice - crispy crust yet soft. Very good ratio of meat to saukraut. The fries were eh. Very limp with no crispy at all. I've honestly gotten better fries off a food truck. They look crispy in the photo but they were not. So overall- drink was good, sandwich was delicious but fries were not and service was not good at all.

I really liked the flavors of the Crostini, scrumptious! I had a bite of my wife's Pave and thought the texture and tastes superb! Preparing for the second and further courses was my a put off! We were asked to keep our utensils for the future courses! Nothing like dirty silverware sitting on the table dirtying up the area! At this price point, used silverware should be taken and replaced with new! That is the reason for my 4 of 5 stars. We experienced the same during our first visit two years ago and had hope it was resolved after mentioning to staff. That said, it was the only put off of our experience. For the second course my sister and I decided on the Scallop Arancini while my wife and mom went for the Zuppa Toscano. Again, the Scallop Arancini was amazing and scrumptious! The flavors were terrific! I tried a few spoonfuls of the Zuppa Toscano and thought it missing seasoning. The third found 3 of us ordering the Salmon Oscar while my wife ordered the Grilled Cheese. The salmon was rare, which I particularly like but the crab was cold. My preference would have been warm war with a bit of the béarnaise on top. My wife's Grilled Cheese was very tasty with the preserves but looked lonely sitting on the plate. For the last course three of us decided on the Pumpkin Crepe and my wife the Apple Spice Cake. I thought the Pumpkin Crepe to be a lovey presentation and very tasty and my wife enjoyed the spice cake. All in all a lovely experience overall! Thank you!

The prohibition dinner is a 9 course meal served in an underground cavern that was used for aging beer, and likely more shady activities during Prohibition. The cavern has been updated into a dining room and bar. It does run a little chilly, so be sure to dress appropriately. It is also damp and you have to take an elevator down. Factor these into your decision. Let me also say, this is not a cheap activity, and not for picky eaters. They are very pleasant and accommodating of dietary restrictions, but the was a wide variety of flavors and textures that you need to be willing to try. You pay in advance for this activity . We were met in the little reception area by the servers, and taken down to the cave for a tour and to get settled. We did not purchase the wine pairing, but were offered wine by the glass as an add on, and chose from the pairing list, as it was easy and available. my friend and I both enjoyed a glass of Rose. Once we were seated and settled, we saw 2 other parties come in and were seated, back to front, in the cavern. there are 3 seatings, and they stagger your arrival. First up was the bread service, including a butter candle that melts down a lava rock onto your bread. Very fun, and the bread was wonderful. The fry bread was my favorite. I think the menu is seasonal, so I won't share too many details as it will likely be different if you go .The next course was a savory flan in an eggshell, which was really good, and had a bunch of crispy accompaniments. We also had a smoked salmon course, and a veggie fritter that I would order as an entree, it was so good! The main was duck, and I love duck. Finally, we had a really fun dessert that included white chocolate mousse, apple cotton candy, apple cake, and a streusel bit. I loved it. The portions are on the smaller size, but don't worry, we were very full at the end! The servers were so attentive and all very well versed in the menu. they do a great job pacing service per party and making you feel welcome. This is, to me, a luxury activity, and my party really considered it worth our money, and really enjoyed our experience.
