We stopped in last night with a group of 8 to have dessert at 8:15. I will start with the good. The cheesecake was delicious! Now the bad...several of us wanted coffee and we were told the coffee machine was broken and had been broken for months! We were given several reasons...had paid lots of money to get it fixed but it didn't fix it. Very expensive coffee maker so hard to replace....?? Just go to Walmart and buy a coffee pot! I've never seen a dessert place that didn't offer coffee on the menu! I could have understood if it had just broken, but to have been broken for months, I don't understand. Well dang I sooo wanted to say that this was the best dang cheesecake I ever had but it just ain't. The flavors are great and the staff is friendly but why in the world would you bake a cheesecake with a pan that must have had a savory type of pie or quiche cooked in it at one time? I've been twice to the original place and both times the crust had a funky taste. It has some sort of herbal flavor like rosemary or something. I can't say what it is really but it's something other than sugar, butter or graham flavors. I couldn't get over that so I've not returned. . Maybe the new one in Silo Square is different I don't know but let's hope. read more

This was not only the best cheese cake I have ever had, but possibly the best dessert. I tried the white chocolate caramel and it was amazing. It was drizzled in caramel and white chocolate chips which made it perfect. My fiancé had the chocolate caramel with snickers and it was very indulgent and delicious. I also got the black coffee to counter the sweetness and it paired perfectly. The decor is also very cute. Definitely give it a try if you have a sweet tooth. read more

There is nothing like driving all the way to Hernando several times over the last few weeks to find your favorite cheesecake place is out of cheesecake again on a Saturday night. Well you don't have to worry about us doing that again. This was my last trip last night and I will not be back. This place is twice the size of the old location but they never have cheesecake. We never had that problem until what appears to be an ownership change. Great business model! I'll buy a cheesecake shop and never have cheesecake! Hum, I wonder how long we will stay in business? Our son wanted cheesecake as his birthday dessert the other night so we decided to try City Hall. The cheesecake is absolutely delicious. (We had the NY and the Banana Split) The pieces were big enough that we couldn't finish but it was still good the next day. We went in just before closing and the young man behind the counter was great. Not put out at all by us coming near the close of business. We stopped in here the other day when my wife and I were passing through Hernando and had a good lunch. There are new owners and they seem to have done a great job expanding the menu beyond just cheesecake. For lunch they have deli style fare with a variety of sandwich options on several types of bread, I had a chicken salad sandwich on a croissant and it was really good. We had salted caramel cheesecake for desert and it was fantastic. They had a lot of cheesecake options on display in a glass case , it was tough to make a decision, but the salted caramel turned out to be the best cheesecake I've ever had. The staff was friendly, and the building interior is very neat with an "old southern home" vibe. We will definitely be back when we are coming back through Hernanado. read more

This place is really good for lunch. They have a large variety of cheesecake at any given time. They do tend to get busy and run out of cheesecake, but that's understandable as it's a small family owned shop. Really good coffee too. Tom has done a fantastic job revitalizing this place after he bought it from the original owners. read more
