I was referred here & cannot give enough praise. Diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy, this team fit me in & got to work almost immediately. Not just focused on the therapy, but adamantly concerned with the overall picture & put me in check making sure I got current with ALL aspects of my health. Dr. Garcia is incredibly knowledgeable & has a fantastic bedside manner. Cindy is also absolutely fantastic- not to mention the entire rest of the team from front desk to therapeutic massage- I absolutely love them all & look forward to most appointments (when they aren't adamant on the difficult areas LOL!). The care is personal. It is gentle and at your pace. And, I feel a significant difference just a few sessions in. Now that I've been a regular over a month- I am blown away at HOW much this has helped not just my neuropathy, but overall tension & years of personal neglect. I'm someone who is NOT a fan of touching, massage or chiro- their care has changed me for the better. I literally walk out feeling ten times what I did walking in. And their true, personable demeanor makes a difference rather than just being shuffled through. They hold me accountable & don't let me stray! Sure- there are hectic days where it may take a little patience in waiting, but they make sure to acknowledge your presence, always offer bottled water & do their best to keep up with the high demand. I've never waited over 15 minutes & every minute of therapy following is priceless. I can't say in a summary how much they've become a staple in my health. I highly recommend- they'll work with your insurance or offer CareCredit. And it's all worth it. You'd be lucky to find a facility or team as dedicated or thorough. 100%, I'll likely keep coming back after the initial round of set sessions because they've made me a believer in these less invasive practices. For someone who was entirely opposed- they've helped to change that mindset with the full intention of getting me back to my best health. I couldn't be more grateful. I originally came here because I was told about a free consultation, x-rays and adjustment. After the consultation and x-rays I let myself get talked into signing up for a treatment plan that, as long as I finished (36 visits), I wouldn't be charged for. After 11 visits, here's what I experienced: - an extremely pushy nurse who wouldn't let me say no to lidocaine injections 2x/week that were not helpful to me - front desk staff who was extremely unprofessional, having side conversations with other staff about personal things in front of clients - NO ONE consistently wearing masks, staff or clients - clients not able to be 6 feet apart while doing PT - staff not cleaning areas after clients used them - I was given a back brace I didn't ask for that my insurance apparently approved, but then received a bill from my insurance and was told they hadn't approved it before it was given to me I would have received more "free" things, but I ended my treatment plan. The doctor and I squared up for my copays plus the remainder of my deductible. I could have asked for a specific breakdown of what was covered under my deductible, but I just wanted to be done. I'm fairly sure the other reviews are bogus since those Yelpers don't reflect the actual state of the place. No one was masked. 450k deaths and no one cares to wear a mask. When I asked why they weren't wearing masks the front desk gave me a bit of an attitude and slapped one on, but she proceeded to tell me that the nurse refuses to wear one. Beware their "massage club". I signed up after meeting massage therapist at Mesa Women's Expo. Massage therapist gave a great massage, and I signed up for once a month at $55 a month to be auto-withdrawn. Got a massage in August and September. Called to make an appointment for October, and was told therapist's schedule was booked and she would have to call me back to schedule me. No call back, so I called again. Same story, no call back. Of course they had my $55 which was withdrawn early in the month. I called in November to cancel the membership since they couldn't get me in. November's charge had hit my account as well. I sent in the cancellation paperwork, and November was refunded, but not October. Then my account was charged again in December and January! I called and they apologized and refunded December and January, but still refuse to refund October. I spoke with Dr. Forbes, the owner, who insists their "policy" is a 10-day notice of cancellation is required. He said they already went above and beyond by refunding November, and refused to refund October even though I never received the massage despite my efforts to make an appointment. He actually suggested I didn't make enough of an effort to make an appointment and that I should have called more times, although I had called twice and was told both times I would get a call-back to schedule. All my other doctor offices actually do call back when I leave a message, and I had every faith that they would call me back both times they told me they would. How many times was I supposed to call? How am I supposed to give a 10-day notice of cancellation when the charge comes out at the beginning of the month and I have no way of knowing they are not going to be able to provide the service they charged me for? $55 is not a huge sum of money, but it is significant enough for me to feel both betrayed and ripped off. read more

I started therapy at this location 2 years ago this month and was really starting to feel and see a difference about a year ago. I had been in 2 major accidents only 6 mos apart nearly 7 years ago.Due to ignorance and finances, I did not get follow-up care after my accidents. Although I was only in my 30's, anyone could see that I was becoming crooked. I look like I have scoliosis, but without the bona fide scoliosis--just deviations in my spine. When I first started, I really appreciated the take-home gear in addition to the multi therapy modalities: spinal manipulation ("cracking"); allergy testing; and the soft tissue work, which includes trigger point injections, massage, traction, stretches, a far-infrared Spinalator bed, and electrical stimulation. They also have massage therapy available by appointment only. My pain had nearly disappeared and I began to straighten out and up. In fact, I no longer have to wear wrist supports when I sleep at night and I was able to remove my heel lift from all my left shoes that I had been using for yearssss. (Thanks, Dr. Jecks!) ......and then........... My health insurance became of no use to me at CHS, so i quit going on a regular basis or any basis at all. So I suggest that you call ahead and make sure your insurance will be accepted. Also, call ahead if/when your health insurance goes into Open Enrollment or if it changes due to an Qualified Life Event. This way, you can get the most from your insurance. read more

I've honestly never been to a medical office with friendlier staff. They make it very easy to feel comfortable and they build rapport with each and every patient. The receptionist remembered my name after the first visit and always says good morning or hello to me when I come in! The doctor's there are great too. I went in for an initial exam and was told I would need to come back and get another exam with another doctor in order to proceed. On my 2nd visit, As soon as I walk in, the receptionist looks at me, looks at her watch and then says to me: "Are you going to sign up for services? If not, there is no point in getting the 2nd exam, it's just a waste of time." Hmm... If I went there the 1st time and came in for the follow-up exam that YOU said I needed in order to proceed, why would I not be planning on obtaining services there? Do you think I don't have better things to do with my day than waste it sitting in a doctors office? Extremely rude and insulting. read more

Dr. Jecks, Dr. King, and the entire staff at City Health Services are amazing! They go above and beyond for their patients. I started therapy at this location 5 months ago and have made a lot of progress. They take the time to ask me about the state of my condition, perform assessments to evaluate my progress, and monitor and adjust my treatment plan as needed. Their afternoon/evening hours make it possible for me to fit my visits around my busy work schedule. I am so thankful they offered a free chair massage at my office and now I am on the road to being pain free! I would highly recommend them to anyone! read more

Don't be fooled! City Health Services placed an internet ad for xrays AND an adjustment for $21, but when I got all the way downtown, Dr Jexe refused to do the adjustment on the first visit as advertised? After all the trouble of finding the underground parking garage and switching two elevators, I left with nothing! It's false advertising! If I could leave negative stars for this clinic I certainly would. Let me start off by saying that I never had a bad experience when interacting with the staff here. They really treated me well and were always friendly and can only control so much of their horrible work environment. It is the DR of the practice (Dr Jex) who has scorned the name of this establishment. After 6 months of intense ( 3 days a week!) of care from Dr Jex I had mentioned several times that none of my pain was being eased with his treatments and in fact found myself often times in more pain after treatment. He ignored my concerns. The office is a walking HIPPA nightmare with patient files left out in the open all over desks and random places I could easily have taken anyone's information especially since they leave computers unlocked and unattended for sometimes up to an hour revealing sensitive patient information. It was obviously the least of their concerns anyways since Dr Jex took it upon himself to openly discuss my case and my treatment plan in the front office with other patients and front office staff around talking about how "complicated" my case was and how he just "wasn't equipped" to treat me- really after 6 months of taking my money you realized this? I think not! No wonder the treatments never worked when there is no personal care taken with any patient it is just a conveyor belt of patients and most of the time it was so over crowded I was just straight up told they didn't have time for my treatment that day or only half of it or I should just wait 30mins to see the Dr after my scheduled time because he is too busy sitting in his office playing games on his phone to get up and assist people properly. This place is a complete mess and the owner (Dr Forbes) has been informed of the countless HIPPA violations etc but does not care- as long as people keep paying him he sees no issue apparently. this office refuses to call back customers to cancel dr appointments. i have called 6 timed today to get a ph call back to cancel. they refuse to call back so they can bill you. i did make sure i have a record of my ph calls to show i have called them. this is the worst office i have delt with ever. no one seems to have no manners to call their customers backs. read more
