Never again!! Worst experience with this company ever! My wife and I just moved into our new apartment. We got a bed with a headboard, a sofa, and a coffee table. When we received the delivery for the bed and the sofa, they destroyed our entry wall while trying to get the sofa in, and they also damaged the sofa. Now we are waiting for someone to fix the sofa (something we paid for as new). I had to look for someone to fix my wall, and when they installed the headboard on the bed, they didn't tighten the screws enough, so the mattress holder fell off, damaging the headboard wood. Now we need to wait to get that replaced as well. They confirmed the delivery date for the coffee table, and I had to reserve the building elevator for it. I purchased an entire bedroom set and spent over $8K. My salesperson told us that if we weren't satisfied with the very expensive Tempur-Pedic mattress than we could return it, but we would need to spend another few hundred on the special mattress cover that we would need to be able to return it. The first night we went to sleep it was obvious that the mattress was way too firm, and we called the next morning only to be told that we need to wait 21 days before we could return. My Girl friend had to sleep in another room because her back hurt too much and after 21 days they said we could exchange the mattress for another one. The only problem with that is that they told us that they don't have a less firm Tempur-pedic and the only option would be to spend another $1,100 for the next level up, which is insane. I told them that i would just like to get my money back and they refused. I even reached out to Tempur-pedic and the company has a 90-day refund policy, but City furniture doesn't honor it. We were forced to get a mattress topper just to be able to sleep in our bedroom. read more

We came back here as the last time we were in here we saw a leather sofa set that we just fell in love with and it was time to buy. We were instantly greeted by Angel who turned out to be an absolute star of a salesman. STAY AWAY from CITY FURNITURE! Their after-sales, and return and exchange policies are a disrespect to consumers. What they did to me was a clear case of bait and switch, I didn't receive what I purchased, and didn't get any adequate solution to the matter. They refused to refund my money or to exchange for the right product. I am decorating my house with wood furniture, and for that exact reason, I've been very careful with my purchases to get the wood tone right. I needed a server for my dining room so after seeing the "Bowery" piece online, I went to the showroom in person to check if the color matched what CF advertised online. The showroom item looked exactly like the online pictures. So, I thought it was safe to make the purchase. However, the item I received at home was a very different tone of wood. A slight difference would've been acceptable as wood is a natural material, but what I got is way beyond an acceptable variation. I will attach pictures to this review to prove my point. Since they refused to refund the money, after a 2-hour phone call with their customer care, I decided to accept an exchange although they said they couldn't guarantee the right color would be delivered. More time wasted and stress added because the 2nd item delivered was also very different from CF's ads and showroom piece. I even asked to have my item exchanged for the floor sample I saw at their Doral showroom. They also said no to that. So now, I'm essentially stuck to a product that doesn't match anything in my house, or I'm forced to use a $1,200 credit in a store that I want absolutely nothing to do with anymore (and I have to find something I like in 3 days to use such credit). City Furniture has no respect for clients, and they are not worried in keeping recurring clients. After they have your money, you are worth nothing to them. If you value being respected as a client, STAY AWAY from City Furniture. They even deactivate their comments section on TikTok, which their competitors don't. That in itself shows how many unsatisfied customers they have and how uninterested they are in listening to their clients. Oh, by the way, I paid for a 3-year protection plan on that server. Stay away! We ordered 4 barstool chairs on 12/3/23. We knew they were back ordered so we were patient. At the end of Feb I decided to contact customer service to find out that they were discontinued. Options were to pick new chairs or refund. We choice the refund as how can a company not inform a customer who paid in full that the item they ordered was no longer available. Hadn't seen the refund in 2 weeks so called. No refund processed again giving the option to pick new chairs. Was told I would get a call. Never received a call and impossible to get a hold of a manager in the store. Finally filed a dispute but they had our money for over 2 months. Don't buy a mattress here. Bought a $4500 mattress that I exchanged for and paid more for. The sales rep ignored my emails and when I went to the store he said the customer service was closed on the weekend and said he was on vacation so that's why he didn't respond to my emails and to email him in a couple days and he would help me exchange the mattress. After I emailed him he ignored it again. I contacted customer support a few weeks later and they sent a guy to check the bed and all he did was put a piece of wood on it and said it wasn't sinking. I had already exchanged it once for a more expensive one and wasn't told the 2nd mattress had to be more expensive only after I went to make the exchange, so I'm stuck with a defected mattress and can't get any help after my purchase. Order # 498278 I placed my order in store October 11th. Delivery was scheduled for December 14. I was never called or notified about the delay. I called and was informed that there was no arrival date for the item. I did not complain or call the sales person for my order. The item was finally ready for delivery and I accepted the day and time slot of their choosing. I have my 89 year old grandmother at home to receive the recliner and just had the recliner dropped off in a box. The box was never opened so that they can check that there are no damages. I called customer service to ask my was this not done and they said that they do not check the quality of their furniture at delivery. They they offered free delivery and because I did not pay a premium fee it was up to me to confirm the item had no damages. A company as large as city Furniture does not care to check their products and cannot even remove the cardboard from the furniture just to confirm it's delivered in good condition is a company I will never buy again from. I went to this city furniture in Doral to look for a canopy bed smaller than queen. I was asked to follow a sales associate to the second floor. Halfway to the beds he tells me to continue on to see what they had for canopy beds. Alone I went and found no canopy beds. Went downstairs and spoke to Juan Carlos who is the store manager. He didn't acknowledge a complaint that I had been sent on a wild goose chase for a bed that didn't exist on the second floor. I then went online and chatted with a city furniture rep and told the complaint to that person whose name was Rasheed and that one disconnected the chat and put me back in their chat menu. At least the city furniture sales reps should do a computer search for a canopy bed that is smaller than queen or just say there are none and not show my the path to a wild goose chase for something that doesn't exist in their inventory. read more

I am very disappointed in the service we have received with City Furniture/Ashley Furniture. We have a sectional sofa we bought a couple years ago but we wanted to buy the extension for it since we moved to a new place. We got the extension for the sectional as well as a dining room set. We were told the dining room set was going to arrive later. We were fine with that and expected it to arrive on a later date. In order to have a table to eat at, we took our old dining room set with us to the new place in order to wait for the new one to arrive. We then thought about cancelling the order of the new dining set since it would look awkward in our space due to size. Since it was arriving later, we waited a bit to make a final decision. Delivery day for the sectional arrives and guess what comes as well? The new dining room set! I refuse delivery of the set but accept the extension of the sofa. No problem. (However, some shade to the delivery guys because they tried to just leave the extension for us to put together. They finally put the extension together after we asked them about it.) We cancel the dining room set without any hiccups... or so we thought. We went back to the store to find a smaller set. We found one we liked and put the order in. We did notice we never got a refund on the delivery from the last order since the dining room set was not supposed to be delivered that date. They charged us for the delivery of that set. We simply asked that they can help us out on resolving that issue. The vendor asked for the manager to come set it up. The manager was able to fix that issue for us, but she was pretty rude about it. She wasn't pleasant at all. However, everything was resolved and fine and dandy. Our new dining room set is here! Hurray! But then we notice that one of the chairs is totally wobbly. We filed a claim and I am hoping they can help us out with that. I just want to be done with this order and enjoy the dining room set (which is gorgeous and looks great in our space!). Never in my life have I had such a negative experience with a company. I initially purchased a bedroom set and sectional sofa. All pieces arrived in a timely fashion, aside from one piece of the sectional which essentially made it a modular couch (which if I wanted to buy just a couch -- I would've bought just a couch.) After 6 months of incessantly attempting to contact my sales rep Samuel Yeargin (and never once receiving a reply) I was informed by Customer Service Rep via the corporate number that my missing item had now been discontinued. The company refused to refund the money for the missing item, stating the only person who had the power to do so was my sales rep (who I still until this day have been unable to get ahold of. -- even though he IS still employed by the company, it apparently isn't standard protocol for employees to follow up or rectify the situation) In order to receive a refund I had to file a dispute with my credit card company. Flash forward, I work with another employee from this store's location (Amina, she is the only competent person I have spoken with from this company in the 8 months I've been dealing with this nightmare situation.) Amina helped me to purchase a replacement item that would help my "couch" turn into the sectional I had originally ordered (albeit a different orientation than I originally desired but I was okay with that.) Come the day of delivery, I am contacted by the delivery team who informs me they are outside of my home. They were not however at my home, and continually ignored my calls for an hour -- only to text me an hour and a half later saying my order had been cancelled. Why was my order cancelled you ask? WELL -- ONCE AGAIN I HAD BEEN SOLD AN ITEM THAT WAS DISCONTINUED AND NO LONGER IN STOCK. I am now stuck with 3 out of the 5 pieces I ordered to create a sectional. The corporate line gives you the run around stating they'll contact the sales location, but you NEVER hear back from corporate nor the actual location. In order to receive a refund for items you never received you will need to make a dispute with your credit card company or financial institution. Also, be aware, that even though I was sold this "sectional" under the pretense that all pieces would arrive -- if items come up missing after the delivery process the company does absolutely nothing to rectify the situation. They don't refund you if you are unable to speak with the originally customer service agent, and they will not offer to swap items. It should be common courtesy of them to offer to swap the incomplete sectional I purchased at full price for a comparable item closer to what I originally went in for. I am now stuck with an incomplete couch that doesn't fit my space whatsoever. I am constantly on the phone with the customer service line and my financial institution and have yet to get any real resolution after 8 MONTHS. Do not do business with this company. It feels as if the employees will intentionally sell you items they know will never arrive because they want to earn the sales commission, at the customers expense. Buying a 5 piece sectional couch and receiving only 3 pieces is like purchasing a vehicle with only 3 wheels -- it makes absolutely no sense. I will be making a complaints with every consumer report agency, and I seemingly will be stuck with an item that is incomplete, and unable to receive a full refund because the financial institution will only credit a portion of what the believe the item is worth. Bonus negative point - I was verbally advised that I had been approved for 0% 60 month interest via their Syphony Credit Line, however, this was not true and there is interest on the charge. So not only am I paying for items never received, I am paying interest on them. Avoid this place at all cost.
