We've been coming here often over the last 3 years. We hadn't been here for a while and recently came by to find a massive increase in the cost to use the machines. We're talking 75 cents to $1.50 for some of the washing machines. Really, this was demoralizing and frustrating. Yes we can absorb the extra cost, but a lot of the people that actually do the laundry here are on tighter budgets. It's a bit mean of the establishment to raise prices is high. I would expect a yearly increase of 25 to 50 cents per machine. But this price increase came in hot and fast and way too high. read more

Review on fluff and fold service only. There is a basic service is for laundry returned in 24 hours which $1.75 per pound. I've been here many times before and they get it right more times than not. However, for my last service, I dropped by laundry off on Thursday morning and called then texted on Sunday late afternoon to be told with 5 min that my laundry was ready for pick up. I texted back and ask them to consider a reduction in the rate ... nothing. I asked the gentleman for the same reduction when I picked up by laundry and the answer was a polite no. If you are looking for prompt service this is not the place. Update: I received a text from management within hours after posting this review. They acknowledged they could have handled things better and offered a discount on my next order in response. read more

Love this place. This place is clean and peaceful. I came for the first time at noon on Tuesday. There were not many ppl there. They have big machine for 5 loads (yes, I haven't done laundry for 3 weeks). Washers are super fast. Dryers are cheap and efficient. AVOID! Worst service. My clothes were damaged because they didn't sort and bleach was used to "correct" discoloration on colored clothes. No one told me my clothes were damaged, no one told me they "DON'T SORT" colors from whites (isnt that logical?)... I found whomever runs this place to be unhelpful and defensive of the employee that damaged my clothes. Wow, never again! This is after coming here for years... Great place to wash a very puffy down comforter that got spilled on! I used the 45-pound capacity front-loader, which cost $5.75, and the machine was clean and functioned beautifully. Same for the dryer, which was only 25 cents per 8 minutes. Using wool dryer balls, it took only about 40 minutes to be fully dry. This is a really nice, clean, pleasant place to do laundry, and I give it high marks. I highly recommend! read more

I use the fluff & fold service here. The office or drop off/pick up is in the back left corner. I was confused when I entered the first time. Sebastian is usually the one that's helped me, cool guy. Not a man of many words but it's all good. Bring in your crap, put it on the bin to weight it, you can pay before or after, there are certain pick up and drop off times. Prices are listed on the board and on the website I think. You can text the number (877) 578-6576 if you have questions. Easy, convenient, and they haven't lost sock yet. read more

Easy and convenient location. I come here all the time and there is always plenty of washer selections in various sizes. Price range is decent and comparable to other laundromats but not terrible for the area. Plus free wi-fi is nice while you wait. If ever feasible - would be great to have the ability to use a credit card or any other type of electronic payment to pay for the machines instead of having to rely on coins only. read more

I give it a solid 3 stars. The location is great! That's about it. There's only a couple parking spots in the front, and they don't have the carts you can push out to the car. Only the taller carts. From what I see, the washing machines didn't do a great job at cleaning my clothes. The biggest thing is the cleanliness of the place (see pic). The walls are dirty, the machines have old dried up soap coated on them. And the carts are filthy. I feel like this place has a lot of potential, if they put a little more elbow grease into it ! read more

I've been coming to this laundry for a very long time. Seen many different owners and I'd have to say the current owner has to be the worst. They should probably take down the "customer service" numbers since he doesn't provide much. Also just went up in prices, yet when using "warm" water it still comes out pretty cold. Machines are often dirty or a handful out of order. The only reason they're getting two stars is because the dryers are somewhat decent and it's local. Take your money somewhere where they will actually attend to an issue you may have with their establishment. Instead of speak over you when voicing concerns about his employees. He is inconsistent with his signage and rules. Especially regarding the supposed mask policy. Keep it consistent with EVERYONE, no matter what they look like. Just trash take your money down to Love laundry on pico where service is better, consistent and the dryers are free. This place is not worth your hard earned money. This place is AMAZING! Customer service, speediness of reply, hours of operation, and service of clothing was 10/10! I had a mountain of laundry I needed to tackle and gave a ring to a few different places for a Fluff & Fold rate. The closest laundry place to my apartment was a place on La Brea and 3rd street which wasn't very friendly when I gave them a call and also stated that their rate was $1.85---ouch. I gave City Laundry a ring, left a message and within 15 minutes someone texted me the rate, and their hours of service. Their fluff & fold rate was $1.15/lb and via yelp you can get a 15% discount which was an incredible deal! I brought over 3 garbage bags filled with laundry as well as my huge comforter, 4 pillow cases, mattress pad, and sheets and everything came out to $48! Also not including the 15% discount which knocked off a few more dollars. The woman Alexandra (sp?) who took my clothes was incredibly courteous. She charged me the full price on my credit card and forgot to take off the 15% but was kind enough to leave me a cash refund which I thought really spoke to their honesty as a business. I dropped my clothes off Sunday afternoon around 3pm and Monday around 1pm they texted me to let me know my clothes were ready--so fast! The gentleman who was working there that night when I came to pick up my clothes around 9:45pm was kind enough to help me haul all my clothes out to my car, and everything was extremely well packaged in clear heavy duty plastic bags. My clothes looked great---there wasn't any shrinking or wrinkles of any sort which I've had from different places in LA and I honestly couldn't be more thrilled to have found such a great fluff & fold place at such a great rate. One thing to be wary of is the parking lot is a tad dodgy because its shared with a few other businesses. I personally was lucky enough to have found a spot each time I visited but something to be wary of during peak times. read more

fast turn around times and inexpensive compared to many fluff and folds

This place is very clean and well kept. Machines were all working and were also well taken care of. There is also plenty of folding space with nice clean counters. They offer free wifi which to me is huge. I know a lot of coin-op locations do also but the difference is that there's worked and was fast. They had 3 change machines and a sofa machine but I didn't see one of the laundry soap dispensers that you can use quarters to buy a little box of soap. The 1 star was because there was only a couple of little carts to put clothes in or hang things from which is inconvenient and the parking situation. There are very few chairs to sit in and the place needs to open a back door to let some air in. It is winter and pretty cool right now but it was like a sweat lodge in there. read more

I am so glad I came across this wonderful laundromat. It was clean, the attendant was friendly and the extra large machine handled my laundry beautifully. My only suggestion for people reading this is to heed the suggestion posted on their wall to dry your laundry no more than two loads at a time in the dryer. I did not think that the one load of laundry that I did at the extra large washer would need to be broken up into 3 drying loads. Wrong! Don't try to save money by putting it all in one dryer. It all won't dry without feeding more quarters in the dryer! read more

I can't speak to the quality of this place's fluff and fold service, because I am still waiting for my clothes past the 24 hours promised. It's really aggravating that they say they will text you when your clothes are ready, and yet I have received no text 31 hours later. The worst part? When you call, absolutely no one answers. You get some automated text that says you can message them with questions/concerns, but they don't answer those either. What's the point of even having a phone number??? I decided to cave and just go pick up my clothes since I received no text, but no employees were present! How ridiculous! What kind of establishment has no staff? I will NEVER trust this place with my clothes again. I'd rather pay more and go to cleaner establishment with actual staff. read more

Clean and quiet area with friendly service! Did a fluff and fold on my king size comforter since I can't wash it in my apartment and they had it bagged up and ready to go in 2hrs. Very pleased with how, soft, and fresh smelling it is now- better than when I bought it, lol! It was $12 ($5 surcharge for less than 15lb order; king size comforter was approx 6lb) which is muchhhhhh better than the $60 the dry cleaners near my place is (obviously). They have coin machines for cash but you can pay with card with the attendant's Square reader (ONLY if you go during fluff n fold hours). read more

Pros...convenient, $2.00 to wash and washers are good. Cons...the dryers aren't up to snuff. Possibly this only applies to dryers 1-12 since they look like they are older. Didn't notice this until I kept putting quarters in repeatedly and clothes weren't getting dry. The dryer doors (1-12) are extremely hot which usually indicates that the inside is extremely hot as well...not the case! 25 cents to dry but if you use more quarters than it takes to wash, not really a bargain. read more

Safe yes but clean....no. It's filthy and most of the washers are old top loads that look disgusting from the outside and a bit sketchy from the inside. Stick with the triple loads even if you have a smaller load. I didn't want to touch anything or fold my clothes anywhere. Oh and 30mins in a dryer for a medium sized load on high isn't going to completely dry your clothes. read more

I've been coming here for years since I'm a local residents. Have never had an issue until today. The WiFi is nice and its always well kept but I have an issue with the gentleman on duty taking my clothes out of the washer as they are finishing up. They hadn't even been finished for more then 2 minutes before doing so. That's just rude!!!! I do t care how busy it is. Plain and simple. If you can't respect your customers enough to let them empty their own clothes then maybe you need to rethink some things. I'm thoroughly disappointed and the others that witnessed it were as well.
