Stopped by Occidental Laundromat today and had a really good experience. The place was clean, machines were working well, and it wasn't overly crowded. One of the attendants, Arnold, was especially helpful. I had a question about which washer to use for a bulky load and he took the time to explain the options and made sure everything was set up right. You can tell he actually cares about keeping the place running smoothly and helping customers out. It's not always easy to find a laundromat that's well maintained with friendly service, but this one definitely delivered. I'll be coming back. read more

I've been coming here for the past year and it's always consistent. It's clean and people who work here (Maggie and Arnulfo) are so friendly! There's a parking lot just for the laundromat as well. I've even done drop off service here and have been pleased with the service. No need for coins either you just pay a one time fee ($5) for a laundry card and load it up with cash. Look, a laundromat is a laundromat lol We all want the same thing - clean clothes. This one is close to my new apartment & love that it's across a Winchell's donuts. The man who works here is so so nice and helpful. You do have to purchase a $5 washer card to then reload with money (cash only for loading) but I love this!!! Having to not deal with quarters is a major plus in my books. Anyway, this will definitely be my go to spot. Not crowded at all, so clean, and they sell snacks/drinks! read more

You have to buy a $5 card to use the laundry machines fyi. No where does it say that you are paying $5 for the card, I thought I was depositing $5 credit. Needless to say I didn't get a refund and just gifted $5 to this laundromat. Also there's mold growing in the detergent hatches and some machines were out of service read more

Our washer broke and Sears Home Warranty took a month to fix. Luckily Occidental was nearby. It's clean and well-run. Arnold was there every time I came and he is super helpful. He helps you learn how everything works and even offers to help get your laundry in and out of your car. You buy a card for $5 and then load laundry money onto it. They have washers in different sizes with the largest having the capacity for 12 loads, so even when our washer is fixed, we will be back to wash comforters here. They have several areas where you can lay out your laundry to fold too. Only reason I took one star off is I wish they would replace the sitting areas with newer benches. But Occidental is truly the most well-run laundromat I have ever used. My husband dropped his laundry off and used their wash and fold service. He raved about Arnold too. read more

I just moved to this area and it was really hard to find a really good clean laundromat. I'm not leaving a review and hyping this place up. I'm leaving a review because it's a really good laundromat to go to really good pricing. highly recommend coming here friendly staff and really good parking and really close by. Im only reviewing based on prices on the laundrymat not their dry cleaners. Anyways so I came in with my husband to do some laundry it's a Sunday morning and it's usually crowded in most places we go to. So we saw this place empty (but now i know why) and decided to give it a go. To pay to use the machines you have to have their card that will just run you $5 (ours clothes to wash on other laundry mats cost less than that in other places) then you still have to add money to use the machines. Total ripoff. The machine prices are higher than other places and it's not like it's brand new machines. Don't bother going there read more

When I think of community, it's not just our immediate neighbors that come to mind but the small businesses and their staff that provide goods and services to its neighbors! I have been a patron of this laundromat for over 10 years and it is always clean, the washers and dryers work well, and the prices are reasonable. In fact, I have passed several laundromats coming here from Washington and Fairfax (when I moved a little further away) - and it's worth it! I also have to give a shout out to all of the staff but especially Armand who has worked here for almost all of those years. I love this Laundromat! The service provided by the staff is outstanding! They are very attentive to the customers and they greet everyone that comes in with a smile. The place is super clean and they provide outstanding Dry Cleaning Service as well with a quick turn around time for pickup. I love the vibe when I go in, because everyone is friendly and we are either chatting or watching the Soccer Games or other Sports.
