For the 3rd time in two weeks the person at the deli counter would not wait on customers, while we waited she continued to cut meat and when she finally approached the counter she said we would need to wait longer as she had other things that needed to be cut. Go figure customers who are there to get product and pay vs. a potential customer. Worth the drive to Edwards if you can spare the time where they are helpful and courteous at Village Market. read more

Was accosted by someone asking for spare change- asked him to go away and he threatened to " kick my ass" Later saw him in store and reported it to staff but they did nothing. Later saw same person in a silver RV to van in the parking lot with Minnesota plates. Be aware and careful out there- city market seems not to care! read more

Driving back to Grand Junction after a visit to the front range for a few days we wanted a fresh sandwich from the local grocery store deli in Eagle. WRONG!!! This store does not make sandwiches in their deli. Sounds like an oxymoron! After being ignored by 3 of the deli workers for a few minutes, I asked if someone would wait on my husband and me and requested sandwiches. One employee looked up and seemed annoyed - pointed to the shelf for a pre-made sandwich. It was the worst turkey sandwich in the history of sandwiches. Dry bread, a puny piece of wilted lettuce, no mayo or mustard and dry cheese for $7+. What a joke of a deli. Will never go again. What has our world come to when you can't even get a fresh sandwich in a deli? I believe Safeway still makes them fresh so I will stick with Safeway. read more

We are currently quarantined as a member of our household tested positive for Covid. My husband responsibly went to the walk-up window to get vital medication for our daughter. An employee whose nametag said Juan came to the window and rudely greeted him with, "Can't you read?" When my husband said he could read, Juan said, "This is only for people who are quarantining?" He then told my husband he was just going to have to wait because they were very busy. This is no way to treat customers! We are all struggling, but kindness and manners are free! This store sucks. The main problem I had was with the staff. They were pointing and laughing at me and even went so far as to comment on my weight on my way out. The checker I was with didn't say anything to me and I had to bag the groceries on my own because the bagger walked away to talk to someone. The store looks gross especially the front end, the floors are gross and always seem sticky, I saw them throwing trash into a cart and then bringing it right back out to be used. There seems to always be dried blood on the check stand. The main problem with the store is the front end, the other departments in the store are ok but the front end brings it down. I hope they fix it because there are some nice people but they need to fire the people who bring it down. read more

The remodel looks really good. They also have much more organic foods and a natural products and supplement section. The new self checkout machines are rather annoying though. "Help is on the way." "Place last scanned item in the bag." "Set item aside." There seemed to be something wrong with every item I scanned. Which I know isn't any fault of the employees and really isn't why I wanted to write this review. The mixed customer service experience I've had is why. First one women at the self checkout snarked at me that I couldn't scan fruits and vegetables, even though they have a bar codes, you have to type in the item code. I also brought my own bags and she snarked at me again when I slightly lifted the bag to put in an item and it set off the sensor prompting "help is on the way". She spoke condescendingly like I was already supposed to know these things. Second was another gentleman (on separate occasion) at the self checkout who stood over my shoulder after, yet again, setting off the "help is on the way" for no reason, for the rest of the transaction. It felt more like an I'm watching you to make sure your not stealing type of look. Third (separate occasion) is a little longer story, I'll spare the boring details, but a different women at the self checkout was finishing my transaction at the main terminal after the manager approved a discount on a product. Her overall manner seemed annoyed and short. Like it was an inconvenience to honor the discount and finish the transaction. Last was a good experience. I pulled the last of a product off the shelf into my cart. I looked again to see if there was another, obviously looking behind the other products next to it just in case. The gentleman stalking water noticed and offered to look in the back without me even asking. He returned with no luck but it was very nice of him to look. There are several other employees who always smile say hello, which is nice. I don't usually care or write reviews but after shopping here many many years the customer service seems to have gone down. Disappointed with the recent experiences I've had. read more

We are from out of town. We love stopping here on our way to or from Denver and visiting with the Cheesmonger Lisa. We always buy a variety of cheese on her recommendation and aren't ever disappointed. She even remembers us after almost a year. The lunch bar chicken meal is delicious and really cheap. read more

The Store in Eagle is Great to shop at but I do have one complaint. Their Spicy wings in The Deli and the cold case are very delicious but 9 times out of 10 they are out. If this item is so popular maybe make more ??? read more

It's just ok. Honestly, if I were just rating the produce section, I'd only leave 2 stars because the fruit and produce are just meh and they're overpriced but as far as the cleanliness of the store and the overall variety it's not the worst and certainly not the best. I will say, it has improved. You can now occasionally find less common things like fish sauce, coconut water, chia seeds, etc. And the deli is pretty decent. But, the fruit and produce are always either minutes from being moldy or 6 weeks from being ripe. The employees are also not the nicest. And I watched a manager speak to an employee like they are far less than human on more than one occasion. I'm not really the biggest fan. Unfortunately, there's only one grocery store here. read more

A seemingly quick check-out turned into a 22-minute nightmare! I entered this store about 3 hours after a community-wide power outage. Many lights were still out and no visible signs of customers....well one other customer. When I went to check out, no cashiers available because four, including the front-end supervisor, were gathered at a register having a personal conversation. One cashier offered assistance but couldn't complete task. (Supervisor still chatting with other employees) An off-duty cashier helped but pricing on shelf differed from that in system. (Supervisor STILL chatting!) Register but wouldn't permit payment. Supposedly a result of earlier power outage....so why not open a cashier-assisted register? Front-end supervisor threatening and belligerent. The only grocery store in Eagle. During and since their remodel, I have only been using this store as a supplement to my grocery needs...there are reasonable alternatives to the only store in town! read more

This store is vastly improved! They have many different products now, including gourmet cheeses, bulk items and a great natural/supplement section. Even the dairy has alternative items such as cashew cheese and almond milk yogurt as well as pastured organic eggs. I don't agree with the other reviewer- I have NEVER seen produce going moldy- I shop there almost everyday and I'm one of their most critical customers. The staff is great, friendly, and helpful. It's a pleasure to shop there. read more
