The produce section has a good selection and variety, a good nut and dried fruit section, frozen and junk food selection. They sell cheaply priced bouquets of flowers but it's cheap for a reason and I never really like their flower groupings. Some of my favorite products are the rainbow carrots, sugar snap peas, arugula. They sell sugar snap peas almost exclusively, hard to find in other grocery stores. Other than these items, the selection is identical to what other stores sell, both organic and regular. If you like hot sauce, the Green Dragon hot sauce is delicious and really well-balanced, sweet, acidic, spicy and fruity. I wish they could make a milder version. They have one cheese that's also insanely good but cannot remember which one it is. The people at the register are pleasant and the store is always bustling, however it's soul-crushing on weekends, esp. since Fairway closed, a lot of the residents who live down in the rental buildings now come here for their shopping and it's always mobbed. They have an extensive frozen food section and fun selection of cookies, chocolate and junk/snack food items. There's one doggy treat that my since adopted foster doggy went ballistic over -- he loved this one particular snack but can't remember the name. It had a softer chewy texture and was made with beef and sweet potato and came in a little pouch. He became googly eyed over these treats. The one thing I really don't like are their chocolates. I don't like any of their chocolate products, they're not tempered and are not refined tasting. Parking can be trauma-inducing but I've always found a spot. Just keep going around the loop and you'll find a spot. And if you're looking for the little tote bags, they have piles of them in all colors in front of the customer service desk as of 12/26/25.

It's not the largest Trader Joe's I've gone to, but it is reliable and I find everything I need. A positive experience I had here today was at checkout: the employee noticed that the Trader Joe's reusable bag I brought had some wear & tear near one of the handles and offered to replace it for free. The bag I had was no longer available but she helped me select a new similar reusable bag. It's these small acts of kindness and going the extra mile that makes it a part of the community. I also appreciate their commitments to sustainability and our planet.

Once again, they have repeated the same dishonest behavior. Every time we have brought whole turkeys to be cut, the price has increased from $4 last year to $7 this year. What really angers me is not just the higher price but also the fact that they have been keeping parts of the turkeys such as wings, necks, and other parts without our knowledge. When I tried to address this issue with a manager like I did last year, the cashier rudely dismissed me, claiming it was not her concern and hung up. They overcharge you and then proceed to keep parts of the turkey you brought in, essentially charging other customers for what they have taken from you without consent. Despite receiving an apology and assurance from management last year that this would not happen again, they have repeated the same deceitful practice. It is concerning to think about how many other customers they might be doing this to. Essentially, they are stealing the meat that belongs to their customers after agreeing to cut it. This year, they are charging $7 for a service that cost $4. When you take your meat to their store for cutting, be sure to keep a close eye on them to prevent any of your meat from being taken without your knowledge. SMFH.

Pro tip for anyone trying to avoid the absolute chaos of the main lot: pull in using the George Ave entrance and park over there. It's a total game-changer for getting in and out fast. Most people know this place because it was on Ripley's Believe it or Not! back in the day for being the world's largest dairy store, but it's honestly just an institution. Right when you walk in, you see that huge stone tablet with their customer service rules--basically saying the customer is always right, and if they're wrong, re-read rule number one. Supposedly the founder, Stew Sr., put it up after arguing with a lady over some sour eggnog decades ago until his wife checked him. It definitely stuck, because in two decades of shopping here, I have literally never had a bad customer experience. The staff is always so solid. They have everything--a great bakery (the Apple Cider Donuts are legendary), a massive seafood section with fresh lobster rolls daily, a killer meat department where I usually grab lamb steaks, and a seasonal garden center and "Little Farm" with goats and ducks that the kids love. They even have a food truck outside now. But if I'm being completely real? Half the time I roll up here, I am solely there for one thing: the hot bar. They have the absolute best wings around, specifically the Spicy Italian ones. I will literally drive over just to grab a container of those wings for lunch. A few quick heads-up things: download their app before you go because the loyalty program rewards actually add up pretty quick, and definitely remember to bring your own bags. Oh, and grab a soft serve on your way out. Essential Norwalk experience.

It feels hidden in the sense that you could drive right past it and miss it, but once you find it, it is absolutely worth it. There is parking out front which is a plus. Inside, it is exactly what you would expect from a classic mom and pop Italian deli. Small, warm, welcoming, decently lit, and clean. They also have a huge menu with tons of options, not even counting everything available at the deli counter. I took my time looking over the menu and the staff was patient while I decided. I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese with black pepper on a wedge and a bacon, egg, and cheese lightly toasted on white bread. The wedge was the highlight. Big portion, very filling, and everything tasted fresh and high quality. It was cooked and put together really well. My only small critique is that the bread was very soft and the eggs were falling out a bit, but I also did not ask for it toasted so that may be on me. The bacon, egg, and cheese on white bread was good as well. The only downside was that it was very lightly toasted, almost not toasted at all, and it used bacon pieces instead of strips. Overall, this is an excellent local deli with quality food, generous portions, and a welcoming feel. I would definitely recommend stopping by, and I will absolutely be back.
