Highly recommend FRESHCO! I'm in town visiting family and needed a break from all the heavy food. The owner freshly chopped most of the salad ingredients right in front of me while we engaged in a delightful, friendly conversation. Will definitely be back!

Wow. What a find! I was here visiting a local friend from Boston, looking for a new bagel spot. Luckily we were not disappointed when we stumbled across FreshCo before taking the train to the city. The owner is super nice and welcoming, we loved her Justin Timberlake greatest hits playlist. She informed us that while she gets her bagels from village bakery (not a downside, they are always great) everything else is home made. Coffee was great from BonJo's and we each ordered a breakfast sandwich. Size was great, 2 eggs are included and the price was fair (~$5 for a sandwich). On our way out, the owner even gave us some jalapeño cheddar bagels to try for tomorrow! Definitely don't miss this spot.

Best breakfast/sandwich place in Stamford! We got a BEC and a sandwich with chicken cutlet, crispy prosciutto, arugula and pesto mayo. Prices are reasonable and the owner is very welcoming. 10/10 recommend.

Came here for the first time out of the blue this morning! Fafa (I apologize if I misspelled her name!!!) the owner was SO SWEET! Customer service: A++++!!!!! She told us that she makes her own coffee & iced tea ice cubes so that her homemade drinks don't get watered down! No other place goes the extra mile like that! The bagels didn't take long to come out. I got an onion bagel with egg whites, cheese, & hash brown! The first thing I noticed was the texture as I bit in. It has more of a bread-y texture! Still really good- not a bad thing at all! It's on the softer side! The bagel was packed with onion flavor & I want to try the jalapeño cheese bagel next! (Which means I'll definitely be back!!!!!) The hash brown was DELICIOUS! One of the best hash browns I've ever had. My boyfriend really enjoyed his breakfast sandwich as well! He got a sesame seed bagel with double egg, cheese & a hash brown! I can't wait to go back. Cute clean place & adorably sweet owner. This will definitely be my new bagel spot! Haven't found any good bagels in Stamford until today!!

Found this place on yelp while traveling. The locally sourced fresh food made me want to go and the friendly vibe, delicious homemade food and service makes me want to return. Our daughter and her friend loved the NY style bagel and the egg salad sandwich was so good I thought my own mother made it. My husband says the Tuscan chicken sandwich was delicious and very unique. The piece de resistance was the homemade coffee cake we savored after the meal. I hope we can return when we are on our way back through the area.

Food is yummy and always fresh.. the brisket and brown rice is yummy. The didn't have cauliflower and so they gave me yummy sweet potatoes along with my carrots. Amazing spot. I come here to dine alone often. You get free miso soup when you dine in. The poke is fresh and delicious, portions are generous. They have cucumber water for you as well. Staff is always friendly read more

Love this place and definitely go in-person. There's plenty of street parking and tables to chill out in while your order is being made. I've been for breakfast sandwiches (sausage, egg and cheese is good and never greasy!) and lunch sandwiches. The potato cones are also worth a try. Such a nice local place with friendly people! read more

What a little gem I found :) I've now visited a number of times and tried some different offerings. The first time I ordered a salad for lunch, and it was fresh and tasty. I would recommend calling ahead if you're coming for lunch, or just allowing a little extra time. This is a small business and it does get busy for lunch. Breakfast is great, and there are some healthy options. I like that i can get egg whites and tell myself I'm being good :) The first time I came for breakast, Fafa (sp?) was awesome and insisted we try the potato cones, since I have never had them before. Sometimes I go and grab a table, a coffee, and a sandwich to do some work on a Sunday. The owner is amazing--take the time to come in! read more

I came in for the first time because Village Bagels was closed and I desperately wanted a bagel with jalapeño cream cheese. I typed "bagels" in to Yelp, and FreshCo came up; it was close to my house so I thought I would give it a try. OH BOY, I AM SO GLAD I DID! At first I felt the service was a little slow, but when I got home I realized why. THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS! The owner is Persian they cook everything to order fresh, you can taste and tell the difference. I ended up ordering a breakfast burrito with feta cheese (they were out of bagels by the time I got there) and it was nothing short of superb. As I said, I could taste the difference. The prices are about $1-2 dollars higher than you would expect, but after coming, here I can see why, and it's absolutely worth it. FreshCo has secured a spot on my list, and next time I am craving a breakfast burrito, I take solace in knowing a San Diego style one is only 4 minutes away from me :) read more

We are visiting from California and stumbled across this bagel shop. We were apologetically those customers coming in 10 minutes before closing and are so happy we did. Farfar had the best customer service and was happy we came in. Our bagels were so good, we're sad we won't be in Connecticut for longer. 3 stars for the food, but 5 for the service. I wanted an everything bagel but they didn't have regular, just multigrain everything. I got that with scallion cream cheese and lox. The bagel was dry but the cream cheese was good and tasted fresh. I might give them a second chance since the woman (owner) was so sweet. read more

The owner's priority is money, not people. I see her over-friendly to people who buy lots of food. I heard a customer say they're just buying a drink today and she seemed to question it. I bought a coffee and sat down for an hour while I was working on a paper (I am a student) and after just one hour when the place was empty aside from me she asked me if she can get me anything and when I said no she said well I'm taking up space and using her electricity and that I've already been here for a while. I felt uncomfortable and left soon after. read more

Easily the best spot in town for breakfast sandwiches and bagels. Had an awesome bagel with a generous serving of lox. Iced coffee was amazing- they use coffee ice cubes so your coffee doesn't get watery! They definitely don't take shortcuts with their recipes, very very good food. Will be back! read more

I stopped in for lunch and saw the owner, Farfar who is a gem! She cares about making fresh & delicious food for reasonable prices, and her customers. It's so nice to be remembered each time I stop in. For lunch, I ordered the Belltown Special. Omg it was so good! I would eat this everyday. New to the area and I'm missing authentic bagels. This place checks all the boxes. I came in around 11 and Fafar had run out of bagels except a half of one. She made the half and it was delicious!! I've ordered delivery from here on a few occasions, but as of today will not ever order from here again. 2 out of 3 of my omelets came without home fries. Why offer and include in the cost if you're not going to deliver them? My recent order included avocado which was brown and inedible. If they didn't have fresh avocado I would have rather received a call offering an alternative. Bagels are always, always stale, like dry and 2 days old. read more

Inside, it is exactly what you would expect from a classic mom and pop Italian deli. Small, warm, welcoming, decently lit, and clean. They also have a huge menu with tons of options, not even counting everything available at the deli counter. I took my time looking over the menu and the staff was patient while I decided. I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese with black pepper on a wedge and a bacon, egg, and cheese lightly toasted on white bread. The wedge was the highlight. Big portion, very filling, and everything tasted fresh and high quality. It was cooked and put together really well. My only small critique is that the bread was very soft and the eggs were falling out a bit, but I also did not ask for it toasted so that may be on me. The bacon, egg, and cheese on white bread was good as well. The only downside was that it was very lightly toasted, almost not toasted at all, and it used bacon pieces instead of strips. Overall, this is an excellent local deli with quality food, generous portions, and a welcoming feel. I would definitely recommend stopping by, and I will absolutely be back.

I called to place my order based on the catering menu posted on their website. I wanted to order two stuffed breads, a panzanella salad and chicken scarp. Note that the website indicates, "Pricing of all of our items is subject to change [due] to constant fluctuations in costs..." The guy who took my order informed me that they no longer do stuffed breads. "Okay," I said and ordered a vegetable crudite platter on the fly since I wasn't anticipating that. "Oh yeah," the guy said, it is also $45 (not $30 that it says on the website). Begrudgingly, I said that's fine, as it was for a family Sunday afternoon dinner. Next, I ordered the panzanella salad. "We don't make that anymore." The guy informed me. I sighed and said, "Alright, how about a [small bowl] Caesar salad?" The menu listed it as $25 on the website. Lastly, I ordered the main event, the Chicken Scarpariello. Thankfully, they still made this and the half tray was still $60, like the website said. Fast forward to me picking up the food on Sunday. The kid at the counter shows me all of the items, Caesar salad w/ Caesar dressing, vegetable crudite with blue cheese dip and chicken scarp. "That'll be $148.60," he said. "Would you like a receipt?" YES. It didn't sit right with me how much everything cost (for 6 adults, mind you). I asked my wife to read me the receipt when I drove off. Included was a $4.73 'non-cash adj.' which I assume was me using my credit card (on a $140 ORDER). When I opened the food up, I really got angry. My $30 Caesar salad had zero croutons. It was solely lettuce and parmigiano cheese. Essentially, it was likely a 3-head bag of lettuce with cheese and dressing, for $30. Something I could have done myself for about $7 tops. Next, my $45 vegetable crudite platter had broccoli, red & yellow peppers, celery and cucumber with blue cheese. There was no spinach/artichoke dip as indicated on the website. Neatly presented, but it was $45 for veggies (and one, not two dips). Last, the menu indicates the chicken scarp is served over rice. When I opened the tray; SURPRISE, no rice. The food was tasty (specifically the chicken). But for what I paid (for mostly vegetables), I am so disgusted. Not only with A&S, but myself for agreeing to purchase the food in the first place. I have such disdain for this experience, I'm likely not going back. The guy taking the order admitted the website needed to be updated. But again, mostly I'm pissed at myself because I paid a lot for what I got in kind. The cherry on top was the line item on my receipt for using a credit card. I get that credit card companies charge fees, but it's 2023 and if you're going to nickel and dime someone for using a credit card, do it if it's under $10, not on a $140 order. Lesson learned. The problem with running a business this way, is you only can pull that ruse once, otherwise it's shame on me.

They allow you to create your own salad or chose from an assortment of fresh made healthy options. There on ober eats so you can get delivery. If you in the area you should definitely stop in. For good measure, I had their Whipped Cloud Coffee, their signature fluffy whipped coffee served over ice. People talk about the 93 Bulls, but this was my 91 Bulls crew, just coming out, finding their rhythm, and locking in together. Great energy and great service. I also loved that their bagels come in daily from Westchester, which felt very New York. A couple useful notes. Their current hours are shown in the photos I uploaded here. Rainbow bagels are only available on Saturdays for now. Street parking is available nearby, which makes stopping by easy. Overall, a strong new spot with friendly staff and lots of options.
