Over time, the memory became fossilized and we were in agony from the nightly discomfort. So at this point, even a lumpy bed in a vacation rental has felt better. Now after only three nights on our new Sleepy's By Sealy "hybrid 11" firm mattress Queen Prime both of us are truly happy with the quality of our sleep! However, if the opposite were true, the seller gives a 120 day guarantee which allows for return or replacement. I'm glad to say that doesn't appear to be necessary in our case! PS. our little guys had a blast constructing a doggie play house from the cardboard carton, by following the enclosed Sleepy's instructions!

We have purchased 6 mattresses from Extreme Discount over the years and they have been great so we went there again cause we needed to replace the 10yr old one we had. We ordered the Vera firm.I tried it in the store and it felt great. The one that was delivered didn't feel anything like in the store.I was literally sinking in it. I am a 125lb woman. After 26 days on this mattress from hell I have Extreme pain in my legs and hips and back in physical therapy. I called about this and was told that it could not be returned but we could get another mattress with a discount plus a $75.00 charge. What? The salesman also asked me to check the mattress tag because there's apparently a Vera Firm AND a Vera Plush. Mine said Firm. It was more like a plush.Think it was mislabeled.So we were stuck with it and gave it to our daughter because she loves a soft mattress. They say 30 days comfort trial. Warning , even if you buy the mattress protector for $65.00 you will still be stuck. We noticed after the fact that on the second last page states ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS on merchandise that has already been taken or delivered even if still in factory wrapper or box. The salesman Bill was very nice but also very misleading. As for delivery there were 2 guys, 1 older maybe late 30s early 40s and the other maybe in early 20s.The younger guy was very nice and courteous, the alpha male on the other hand was far from it. A little snippy which in no way I was going to tolerate in my home and made Mr.Alpha well aware of it Wasnt informed that delivery also included attitude. We had been very good customers for years. Never again after dishing out $1000.00 will we ever do buisness with them again.

The selections were varied and there were many more than we have seen at the "big box" mattress stores. The salesman listened to our specific needs and presented several choices. When we made our selection, the price was very reasonable and the time before delivery was excellent. The delivery crew was professional, very speedy and polite. The next day, after spending a terrible night on the mattress, we contacted them. We spoke to the manager and we could not have been more pleased with the response we received. Working with him over the phone, it was determined that the mattress was the one we chose but was improperly manufactured. There was 1-1/2 inches of stuffing missing. The mattress was picked up the same day. A temporary replacement was offered but we had not yet disposed of our old mattress so we decided to use it instead. The manager also offered a pad to lay over the old mattress to make it more comfortable until the new one arrived. We thanked him but did not need it. When the replacement arrived, the manager personally delivered it. It was obvious that this one was properly made as it was much larger, height wise, than the other. Before leaving he made sure we were satisfied. Anyone needing a mattress should make sure to visit them before making a purchase. You will definitely not be disappointed.

It was a no-frills, non-decorated store with mattress & box spring displays that almost looked mismatched. We spoke with a guy named Matt who tried every sales approach in the book to entice me to buy a mattress. I told him I was just looking and checking out the different brands, but he was very over-bearing and kept telling me and my girlfriend to lie down on the mattresses and get comfortable. Well, that made me feel so UN-comfortable, that I was totally stressed by the time we walked out. While his prices were a bit lower than some of his competitors, he mentioned he charged for delivery. This would have been a deal breaker even if I had thought I wanted to buy anything from him.

Meanwhile, this mattress continues to get worse. It simply cannot handle my 122 lb. body weight when in use. The materials instantly compress so much that I experience physical discomfort and soreness (an iPad on a stand next to the bed is now exactly level with my face while I'm lying down). This points to a massive failure in the product's support capacity. I'm forced to sleep on my couch now rather than my bed because of the hip and glute pain I'm experiencing. This company's system for resolving customer complaints is clearly broken if the manager ignores a significant issue a customer is having. I cannot recommend a company that sells low-quality products and provides zero follow-up customer service. I will file a formal complaint with the BBB and the NYS Consumer Protection Agency if I don't get a response soon. *****ORIGINAL REVIEW***** I purchased the Celestial Pegasus Plush Innerspring mattress and thought I'd finally get relief from the hip pain and foot numbness I had from my four year old Saatva latex mattress that I spent a fortune on. That wasn't the case. The Pegasus "Plush" wasn't plush at all and the hip pain and foot numbness continued. I should note the pain and numbness only happen when I'm lying down in bed so this isn't a medical issue. I used their exchange policy after sleeping on that mattress for 30 days and exchanged it for the Simmons Emerald Coast, which I was told was a plush mattress. Now I have a whole new pain - my glute is constantly throbbing from lying on this mattress and now I'm stuck with a very expensive mistake. Never purchase a pillow top from Simmons. They sag very quickly. After doing some Googling, I found out this mattress is best for back sleepers and I can see why. That's the only way to sleep on it without much pain, although I'm a side sleeper and can't get used to sleeping on my back. I told the salesperson that I am a side sleeper so I figured he was pointing me in the right direction for side sleepers. I don't have the money to purchase yet another mattress so I'm forced to live in pain. I never in my life had so many issues with mattresses and I know it's possible to be comfortable because I recently slept in a hotel and at a friend's and had no issues. Prior to purchasing the Saatva and then these two mistakes from City Mattress, I never had issues. Bedtime was a pleasure for me. Now it's torture. Service was just ok. Nothing special, but not bad either. I suggest going elsewhere where there are many more brands to choose from.

It is completely okay and encouraged to lay down on the beds and test them out, even if you go back and forth a bunch of times for comparison. The staff makes you feel like it's important that each customer is happy with their choice - not pushy at all, very friendly and helpful. Although I did not end up purchasing a mattress on this trip, when I am ready to do so, this is where I'm coming back to.

I hope to keep having good Karma with this business because commercial mattress prices are quite horrific but You won't be able to swap those out for a discount either unless you paid the warranty. They had a nice large selection there and I loved some of the beds and instead of having frames they had a really cool thing that you just put your mattress on top of where you don't need a boxspring, and then there's plenty of room to put stuff underneath your bed. The employee, taking care of us, was very nice and willing to explain every little thing, and repeat himself over again, when my mother did not hear him, or could not hear him.
