I went in last weekend to get a gel manicure and a polish change on my toenails. I scheduled a appointment over the phone. I wasnt informed I had to check in via the tablet. The gentlemen that did my manicure filed my nails wrong (back and forth causes nails to weaken I'm a licensed cosmetologist) and exactly 7 days later my polish is already chipped. I have gone to Missy Nails in the past and found them unfriendly and unkind. I have taken it for granted. Today took the cake. When I arrived 2 ladies were ahead of me, that was fine and the staff seemed very welcoming to them. They asked what I wanted. Asked me to wait and then put me in the pedi water. I have had this happen before also where you are stuck in the water but have no manicurist. After sometime a gentlemen comes and begins working with me. He seems preoccupied, unorganized and is talking to someone via a microphone, headset. He keeps leaving and coming back. When done says he can't do my manicure since I don't have an appointment. I can't believe they took me in, jack me around and then left their part of the treatment undone. I asked if someone else could and the owner said, "next time make an appointment". As I left I explained to her that I felt I had ordered a service that they did not finish. I was disappointed. She said, "next time make an appointment." My parting words were, " I didn't realize that you had become a full appointment salon. Your door indicates walk ins welcome, maybe you should change your sign." This place is great! My mom has been going here for 20 years, and the service has been great the entire time. They recently refinished and completely upgraded the salon, and it's beautiful. As a business professional that works very closely with my clients on a personal level everyday, I was highly disappointed in the way I was treated at my appointment. I had Jay and he was not friendly at all and was rude. He rushed through my appointment and was very aggressive with the way he was handling my hands and had a poor attitude. I remained quiet for my appointment because I could feel his irritation the entire appointment. When I checked out after he ran my card, I was about to sign and immediately he said "I forgot to charge you and extra $10 for the red tips." I gave him his tip and the extra $10 in cash which wouldn't have been a problem but he should have added that in the initial price. I also had a couple of racist experiences at Missy Nails on Fall Creek. The first time I felt ignored, invisible, and not welcomed. I was hoping it was not true and had given them the benefit of the doubt and gave a second try. The second time confirmed my feelings when the lady barely spoke and barely looked at me. She was NOT friendly at all. I had a weird feeling. She said they only took appointments so I made an appointment and then I changed my mind and told her that was ok. I didn't feel welcomed. When I was reading the reviews I was wondering if anyone else felt like that too. The other review encouraged me to write my review about how they made me feel. Its next to Kroger and several other places. There is plenty of easy parking. I like this place for several reasons. When you walk in without an appointment they almost always take you in a decent amount of time. If they are to busy they are honest and tell you there is a long wait or ask you if you would like to come back, not lie and say 5 min when the wait is really an hour. The pedicures are really good they take their time, takes about 45 min approximately. They do charge extra for sea salt scrub. For me this place gladly do long nails. A lot of salons won't do it, or they try to cut them down or over charge. They charge 45.00 for fills for long nails which I guess is ok. I've paid less but you get what you pay for. Now the people are nice, I don't think extra or even fake nice so I like that. The place is clean and I feel comfortable there. Great place overall. read more

If it were possible I would give this salon negative stars. I called and made an appointment and then was not seen for 15 minutes after the appointment was made because the worker I was booked with was finishing the FREE set she did on her friend. When I sat down, the artist did NOT say or ask me a single thing except about the length. Then, she went on to cut and file my nails down to barely any length at all (complete opposite of what I wanted). I got extremely sloppy, short, terrible shaped nails. Mind you, all I asked for was almond shaped black french tips. When I went to pay, my card was snatched from my hands and I was not told the price. For the shitty nails I recieved, I was charged $70. Again, I was not told how much the set was AT ALL. I get the EXACT thing done at my salon for $40 and they actually care to consult you about what you are getting. Absolutely terrible staff, especially the main girl there. I really appreciated the guy who made my appointment over the phone, but other than that there was no positive experience. Make sure you have a grip on your card or you will be getting charged an extra $20 for a basic set of nails. read more

Went in Saturday, September 16th, 3pm for a mani/pedi. Got right in guy who worked on me was ruff! He offered me a service by handing a piece of paper with the info for $5.00 some kind of special scrub, I said yes to the service for my feet. He then without asking did the same service to hands and charged me another $5.00, not COOL!! I over heard a conversation regarding not being able to add tip to charge card, which I hate when nail places do this!!! Customer said she'd go to Kroger and get cash, asked tech how late they were open, tech replied in a smart ass tone "how long is it going to take you!!" This was a one and done place! read more

We walked into the salon signed our names in the book they never even looked at us they never came to the counter and never asked us what service we wanted. we sat down for 10 minutes and no one still spoke to ask what we wanted I stood up and went to one of the guys and asked what the problem was and why no one spoke to us they begin to talk in there in their native language. They didn't have the decency to speak to me in English they lied and said they said hello when they didn't the entire salon was full of white clients and they never even acknowledged us. I told them I would never patronize their salon and they treated my aunt the same way when she came in. me and my daughter walked out and we went across the street again to get our nails done. So I went to this salon as a referral from a client and I will say this place may look clean but it isnt. I went there and got a full set and a pedicure. I got the salt scrub on my legs as well and about 2 days later I notice 6 spots on my legs that turned out to be ringworm. While I was there I noticed they do not fully clean and sanitize the pedicure tubs after each use. My nails were okay.. but the acrylic is uneven on the sides as well.
