First visit but will plan a second visit to find out if the experience is any better. The shop itself is clean, comfortable and inviting. I arrived early enough so the wait was minimal. Minimal is also the best word to describe the service. I opted for a basic manicure and experienced a few notches below basic. Most nail places usually encourage the upgrades like gel, or other higher priced options, but are still focused with providing about the same type of service and pampering with a basic. Once seated, I began to feel as though I interrupted the technician's day and felt very rushed throughout most of the service. I never saw someone check their phone so much during a manicure - and I am not talking about myself! I certainly appreciate a timely turn-around time for a manicure, and especially when there is a roomful of waiting customers. However, there was no one else waiting and as soon as my last application of polish occurred his phone came out, once again. Conversation was almost non-existent, and a language barrier was not the factor. I know I certainly tried to engage him with some type of communication but it was mostly met with a one worded answer or there was no acknowledgement at all. Kind of a bit uncomfortable sitting face to face with someone while holding hands with few words being spoken! Try it sometime! As stated at the beginning, I will return to this shop but I think I might prefer to wait for another technician should the one I had for this visit be available. read more

I had the best pedicure ever! If you like a good strong massage on your feet and legs, Brian is your guy! My feet feel AMAZING! My feet are in pain most of the time because of an old injury. I crushed my foot when I fell with a horse about 30 years ago. Every bone in my foot was either broken or dislocated. When they rebuilt my foot, the arch isn't exactly even, so my legs and feet ache all the time. I went out of there dancing! Thank You, Brian! I will be back! read more

Our quick weekend visit to PA required some TLC time with the ladies of my family. Seeing that it was a Sunday, we opted for City Nails which was new to all of us and one of the few open salons. Upon entering the space, I noticed that the smell of chemicals was not strong and that they were playing Vietnamese music on a tv. The space was very well lit and clean with abundant free parking. One wall was lined with five to six massage chairs for pedicures and the other side accommodated manicure tables. The standard pedicure will run you $25 and take around 40 minutes. The wall is filled with at least 200 color options for non-gel paints. The staff was very fun and friendly and didn't make the process feel rushed (I've had this happen before). My only complaint during our visit was that we had reservations in advance but were not seated until 35 minutes after the time of our appointment. Other than that, it was a very positive experience and we were all pleased with the end results. In fact, I was so relaxed that I nearly fell asleep in the chair. read more

If I could rate ZERO stars, I would. My 1st time in there it took 4 hours for a manicure and a pedicure. I was a walk-in so I wasn't expecting to be in and out. It was only my 3rd time in my life getting acrylic nails done so I really don't know anything about it. I got acrylics done with the dip powder method. They weren't spectacular but overall weren't bad. I scheduled a 2nd appointment 3 weeks prior for 3pm to get manicures and pedicures done with my friend and we weren't even taken back to start our pedicures until 4pm. While we were getting our pedicures done they informed us there is only 1 lady who knows how to do acrylics so we had to wait for her to do one person at a time. My friend ended up not even waiting to get her nails done and I don't blame her. I waited to get mine done and their shop closes at 5pm on Sundays and she didn't even start my nails until 5pm, so of course by the time she got to me, I was the last person and she rushed. My 3pm appointment wasn't over until 6:15pm. My nails looked terrible! Some of them were thicker than others, longer than some others and they were lumpy. I just had them done 2 days ago and my pinky nail broke off already! DO NOT waste your time here! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! read more

I would give zero stars if I could. My friend and I called ahead of time and asked if they could do the specific nail design that we wanted and they assured us that they could. We went in for our appointments and both of our nail technicians were rude and unwelcoming. The women I had, Chris, was talking on her phone with the speaker on for most of the appointment, she didn't try and talk to me once. Danny always takes care of me here. I followed him to this nail salon from 'another' salon because he is worth it! He never hurts me and always does an amazing job. He makes suggestions and always pays complete attention to my nails, instead of chatting with his coworkers, like most salons. He is amazing and I highly recommend him and City Nails! I took my mom here while she was in town visiting. We each got mani pedis. They got us right in which was great, but the man doing my pedicure was very distracted (filled up my tub with cold water first, never turned on the jets, only lotioned one leg...). The overall turn out of the pedicure was fine, the experience lacked. My mom and I got french tip gel manicures as well. Her tips bubbled after we left making her nails look and feel weird. After 2 days my nails aren't quite chipping, but looks more like the color is fading or things are seeping into the paint. I'm not sure, but they look gross now. (I included a picture of one of my nails because I can't really explain it.) I only did all the normal things I would and have done after a gel manicure. I really feel like I way overpaid for the service we received. Such a bummer. read more

Went two weeks ago, the guy who did my nails was rude. He barely acknowledged me, spoke to everyone around us except me and continually caused my fingers to bleed. My normal nail salon is closed on sundays so I thought I would give this place a call. I'm flying out of state in 2 days for job interviews so getting my nails filled was CRUCIAL! I called her and they gave me an appointment time of 230 pm. I noticed there were only 2 nail techs working on people and no one even acknowledged me when I came in. The reception area was full. The techs don't even look up at you to let you know it will be a little while. If they would have communicated with me we could have organized a better time in the day that I could come back when they are less busy but I was completely ignored.
