I came to City Nails for a manicure for the first time yesterday. I got greeted by an awesome desk assistant when I walked in. She assisted me with picking out a great color and was very helpful. I got seated right away on a Saturday morning which was also wonderful. Although I feel that the salon overall gave off a just a little bit over-average vibe, I did receive a great manicure. One thing I wish is that they had light dryers for polish to dry rather than just fans. I would come back to this salon and I would recommend it if you're looking for a quick mani or pedi but not something too special. read more

I've been going to them for years and noticed the decline in their work but kept going because of the convenience of the location. Regular manis were ok but not always satisfied/ last time I went a few weeks ago I asked for gel and the work was done in a rush, my nails had bubbles and were not smooth. I've had it! Even the waxing is done in a rush if I'm gonna spend $ i want to relax and be satisfied. I've been coming here for quite awhile, the services were good until today. I came in with my husband, I asked him he should get a pedicure because (Linda) is great last time I had my pedicure. I have dip nails and the lady (never had my nails done by her) tried to rip it off! She tried to pull it off with a fake nail and I said "ouch that hurt" and she did it again and rolled her eyes on me. So I decided I'm not gonna do it, the way she treat me and i left. I have never had a toe fungus in my life but one month after my pedicure at City Nails I removed my polish and had toe fungus on 8 of my toenails. I'm furious and one month later I've made no progress against it! I had to go to the doctor and get medicine. I will never go back. read more

Dissatisfied with last week nail work done. I Returned to the salon requesting to fix my nails due to being wrong and I did not like them. The lady owner verbally harrassed and disrespected me in front of staff and clients. She was very argumentative, irritable and yelling at me. Very rude, unprofessional and resisting to take responsability for the horrible work I received and paid. Still after fixing my hands then my toes nail were not correctly painted missing areas. The guy who did my pedicure and the lady who did my dip powder set did not do a great job. They also overcharged me. I will not return.

My experience was horrible I went to get my eyebrows waxed for my birthday and they left me scarred with burns under my brows. They tried to convince me that it was an allergic reaction which it definitely is not as you can see. The manager barely wanted to give me a refund and he wasn't apologetic at all. Really enjoy going here and followed my favorite nail tech, Nikki, over from another store. While the TVs on at Nikki's former place were honestly a nice distraction, this place is much cleaner and more well organized than her previous place. Not only do they put covers down on the pedicure tubs in a much more costly, on their part, attempt to eliminate the possibility for fungus infection, but when I've been there towards closing time and watch their cleanup process, it's very thorough. They even wipe down the decorative columns from top to bottom because powder gets all over everything. I see a lot more well-dressed women and men that care about the way they look going here, typically to the same nail techs. They always offer you something to drink, but I'm not sure if they serve alcohol. I always ask for a water if I'm thirsty when they offer. They do tend to get busy sometimes so I would suggest making an appointment, but day, like every typical nail shop, are pretty good at accommodating walkins based on what I see when I'm there. read more

I went in for a mani abd it took them 40 minutes to start. Then, I asked for a design on my nails and they kept messing up. I told them to leave them the way they were before they tried the design, but they tried again twice. Then the only person in the salon that did designs tried to do it after 30 min. I think it is ridiculous the in a nail salon there is only one person that does designs. I have gone twice and have been upset both times. I don't recommend. read more

I went there and was over charged for things I never asked for, after 6 days my nail broke and was charged for a fix (and it was so poorly done it looked nothing like the rest!), and the day after I get that nail fixed another broke AGAIN!!!! Went in as a walk in and they were able to take me right away. My feet were a total mess and they were made into pretty feet again. I am writing his review the day after my manicure and pedicure. When I left the salon yesterday, I knew I'd received a mediocre job. My nails were painted unevenly on my nail beds and my toes had paint on the skin. I paid $64+$10 tip for a terrible pedicure and gel manicure. While I was seated quickly "Michelle" barely spoke to me. I assume this is her name because this was the name of the equipment on her station. Instead of introducing herself to me and being personable, she spoke her native language to her colleague and barely paid me any attention. I'm actually completely fine with that, if she'd done her job properly. Again, my manicure is uneven and chipping already, and my pedicure was uneven and painted on my skin. I'll never go back. I had a really pleasant experience at this salon. I've been to a few others in town and I'd have to say this is the most luxurious looking and cleanest one I've been to so far. I walked in on a busy Sunday without an appointment and was seated promptly at a nail station. Although they were quite busy they did have a lot of technicians to accommodate this. I wish I had paid attention to the nail technicians name but I will say she was efficient yet took her time to make sure she groomed my nails perfectly and her application was very detailed and precise. This was my first time at this place. They were really nice and clean. I like that they use liners in the pedicure bowl & the tools used were sanitized fresh out of a new pack. Even though they were short a few workers my wait wasn't long at all. Tommy (very nice guy) did my pedicure & Michelle (nice as well) did my gel French manicure. The massage was really nice too. A bit more expensive than where I usually go but the place I normally go to doesn't do all of the things this place does, so it's worth it. I'll be back. Thanks again! read more

They cant even do simple gel nails correctly. my nails looked so disgusting after they were done i ripped the polish off after an hour because i couldn't stand looking at them.The guy who did my nails didn't even cut the nails equally and made the gel coats way too thick. Terrible customer service. Had been going there for a few months twice per week getting gel and pedi. After getting pedi getting ready for gel because another tech who was working with a "regular" customer had an emergency my tech was pulled to work with her. I was left to wait for half an hour. Will never go there again. This happened to me more than once. They have their core customer and they are pushed to the front of the line leaving everyone else to wait regardless of when you arrive or where you are in your service. read more

The customer service was fine, but the man that did my nails had no idea what he was doing. He filed them but they looked awful and I had to try to redo when I got to my car. And truthfully, he filed my toes more than my nails. He painted them and it was all over my skin. And he barely removed the dead skin around my nails. Once again, I tried to redo as I was on my way to an event. He was nice, but it was a total waste of my money. I should have complained, but I didn't want to make a scene. DO NOT go to City Nails!!!! I visited City Nails with a perfect set of pink & white. After leaving, I realized there was no gel acrylic on right side of any of my left fingers, none on the left side of my right fingers and the acrylic wasn't drilled down around the sides that were done. I called the owner and he was very nice. He offered to fix them if I returned. I went back and the person he told to help me was angry and speed drilling my fingers, She didn't add any acrylic, just repolished them with clear. Long story short...I had to go to another shop to have them soaked off and redone. Also, the prices they have on the brochure is not the price they charge. I paid $36 for a terrible fill-in, plus gas to return and time. DON'T GO TO CITY NAILS!!!!! You've been warned. read more

My nail technician reeked of cigarette smoke, which isn't surprising since I walked by 4 other technicians outside smoking on my way in. I would give no stars to this place. I never saw them sanitize the things they used to file down my nails. The skin beside my nails is torn up completely. He took off skin, that's right. He was so busy looking around the shop, he didn't pay attention to what he was doing on my nails. Now I am in so much pain from that machine grinding down my skin!!!!!!! Horrible place. The worst experience I have ever had! I asked for a gel polish change and a polish change on my toes. Instead i got a manicure that I didn't ask for and an okay (I probably could have done the same or better at home) polish change on my toes. I try not to be a difficult customer, but since I was so specific in what I wanted I don't understand why I didn't get that. When I tried to ask about what was going on, they two women talked across me and refused to listen to what I was saying. Each time I tried to put my two ( very valuable) cents in they just clammered on about how I needed it so it would look better. I politely stopped the unwanted manicure and told them that I would pay for any services rendered including the unwanted manicure and the just so polish change on my toes. Later the manager came to me and asked if he could please do the gel polish for me and since I am still here, why not. I feel like I have paid for it in cash plus pain and suffer.
