By the far one of the worst experience on a rental, to rent a stump grinder as I am working here locally and I was told I will have to leave a $600 deposit on the card when I show up they hit me with a $2000 deposit because I do not live locally, but I was working here locally. I gave them all my information and the location where work will be done with the machine and I have no choice but to just walk away it was insane. I never heard of such a thing just because my address on my drivers license was from San Fernando Valley. They hit me with a $2000 deposit because I did not live in the area, they won't see me again. Definitely will not recommend them. I had just recommended that place to other peers that work in this area but after this i'm sure they are not going to go there after hearing what I have to say about this place. read more

Zero Professionalism, broken down equipment, poor customer service. Need I say More? Ordered from this location twice both times there were problems with the equipment, one of the times the equipment was damaged and discharged, and would not take a charge. The problem is. It isolated Specifically Juan "The Manager" but also Eddie and the Owner as well, not sure what the malfunction is, but it should be addressed. Maybe if they worked out their issues they could go back to focusing on equipment rentals not their party rental business. Additionally, the owner Stands by the behavior of the employees, no leadership, no apology, just more poor culture for the the unprofessional workplace. As a contractor I barely have time to write this review. Let alone deal with the BS coming out of this location. If you have a job on the line, I would highly recommend, NOT trusting CITY RENTALS for your equipment needs. read more

I rented a roto tiller for my yard and went to City Rentals instead of Home Depot. City Rentals had fewer choices for what to rent (2 sizes while Home Depot had 4 different sizes) but their "Small" tiller was the same size as Home Depot's Large for a cheaper price. Not only were they helpful in showing me how to use the tiller but they also loaded and unloaded the tiller from my truck. To top it all off I rented the tiller for 4 hours $15/hr but they only charged me for 2 hours. They may not have as many consumer grade tools to rent but getting an industrial tool for the same price as a Home Depot rental is a much better deal. Not to mention the better customer service and friendly staff. read more

Our cat was stuck 35 feet up our curbside tree for four days and we had made dozens of phone calls and exhausted all possible avenues of getting him down. I called City Rentals and talked to Eddie. He was so helpful in explaining what would be the best piece of equipment to use. They got a 40' Boom out to us immediately and talked my son through the operation. Within minutes he was able to get to the cat and safely secure and lower him to the ground. Eddie and everyone involved at City Rentals was amazing, outstanding customer service and fantastic pricing!! Our family is very grateful including our cat who hasn't stopped purring. The worst equipment rental company we have ever experienced. The employees all say they are managers and they quote a low price verbally to get the customer hooked then the equipment and service for repairs is sub par. Very unethical company and the most expensive outfit in the area when you compare apples to oranges. We would strongly recommend you are crystal clear with any quotes they verbally offer. read more

Just rented a roto tiller to redo our front yard. This place was excellent!! Ed was super helpful and so nice. Everything was all set and ready when I got there. Then upon returning the tiller they had guys out there unhooking it immediately so I was on my way in under 5 minutes. Definately plan to use them again. Recently used City Rentals for the first time and wish I had known of them sooner. We needed a telescoping lift for a ranch project and not only was Steve super-helpful, the rate was excellent. Delivery and invoicing was on time and correct- just a pleasure to work with these guys. This company is crooked. First they quoted a priced but actually charged us almost twice the amount. They refused to honor the original price. Then someone from their company used our company credit card to make payments on their Fingerhut account. They are dishonest and thieves. read more

First time here and everything seemed good, until i returned my large tile cutter that i rented. So everything seem good but when they took the blade off and layed in on the table it wabbled just a hair and thats when they said that the blade was warpped! Really!!!?? I told them we just did a few straight cuts and thats all. Well they said that it might have warped when i transported the blade on the machine. I told him that i only transported the machine 1/2 a mile and how can that warp it? He said it happens and that i would have to purchase the blade. Really? $25, I told him that they didn't check the blade out before they handed to me and how do i know it wasn't warped before? A blade that takes a beating during tile jobs and it gets warped transported 1/2 a mile? I will not be using this place again. RENTERS BEWARE!!! GO OVER EVERYTHING YOU RENT OUT!! IF NOT THEY WILL BE CHARGING YOU FOR IT ONCE YOU RETURN IT. They didn't even tell me to transport the blade out of the machine. IF they did i would not have transported it 1/2 a mile which i think its just crazy! read more
