It's a rare day when service is so poor that I'll take the time to write a poor review. Went with the locally owned business over the corporate rental to support local Mom and Pop shops. Huge mistake on this one! Crooked business practices. Project was delayed by several hours due to their failure to provide items we contracted for, and for faulty pricey items that were barely functional. Extra costs were incurred to compensate for their failure to provide the contracted items. To top it off, when the delays led to a two hour delay in the overnight return of the items, they charged for a full extra day of all items. Spoke to the manager who first lied about the return time. Then was rude beyond comprehension. Save yourself the trouble and go to Home Depot or pick a different family owned place. read more

I've just come here for Propane refill. A friendly store nearby and convenience refill is easy at the back. They accept cash and credit card. Better bring more tank to refill as they charge a minimum charge. Mine fill up 20Lb tank for around $20. read more

Went back to Simon a couple times this past month, after 10 years of not doing much around our house, and both times they had what I wanted at a great price. Besides price and selection, their customer service is really amazing. They're polite, they ask about my project, they show me how to use whatever I'm renting, they help me load. I'm sure I'm not their bread-and-butter customer. I rent small stuff and only rarely. But they treat me like I'm their most important customer. Seriously, major props to Simon. I really hate yard work and I'm going to keep getting other people to do it for me when I can, but when I can't, I'm glad Simon is around. read more

I forgot to give this place a stellar review, I used them about 8 years ago since I needed a forklift and no one in LA area are willing to rent me one without a forklift license, this place is different, well at least at that time they let me rent one without a license ( forklift license that is ), great customer service from the front desk to the delivery guy ( yes, they deliver the forklift to you and pick it up ), the delivery guy showed us how to operate and which sticks move what so that we don't kill anyone, lol. This place deserves more stars than are available. Excellent hours - open Sunday early (8 AM I think), great, great service. I rented a sod cutter, they delivered and picked it up it to Altadena for $50. I had trouble withe the machine (please note I did not say the machine gave me trouble). Tony came out again after delivery, gave me instructions again, and then reset the clock on my rental, saving me two hours of money. Over and above the call of duty. When I needed a large forklift, the people I talked to on the telephone (Karli and I think Stuart) were absolutely there to help me. They listened, calculated my load and center of mass and sent the right lift out for the job. I never had to even walk into their store. When Paul delivered the unit and we realized we could get the job done in half an hour, he was willing to wait while we got it done so he could remove the unit the same morning. Excellent service and return deposit fast I rent a bobcat and dump truck and all finances clear on my credit card. Home depot I'm told to wait 3-10 business day for the return of $150.00 deposit on a $80.00 rental for a demo Hammer that still hasn't shown on my card but it only been 5 business days. The equipment is used but does the job its intended for. Recommend or at least check them out. read more
