Very calming atmosphere as soon as you walk in. The infrared sauna booth was nice and cozy. They have essential oil sprays to take with you into the booth, along with filtered water that you can ask the staff to refill with a button where they will come to you (you can buy a water bottle there or bring your own), typically can change the light color in your sauna and afterwards you can shower there where they provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The cool off area, with white sand on the ground makes you feel like you're on a beach. It's dimly lit which is nice and relaxing, they give you some tea and fruit as you relax from the sauna. City Sweats is great....when they abide by their appointments. My wife has (had) a monthly massage membership, but that doesn't mean much when three out of the last four appointments have been cancelled the morning of, including this morning when an email was sent to her at 9 am cancelling a 10 am massage appointment. The onus then was then put on her to reschedule and figure out how to get the massage she had already paid for. Repeated last minutes cancellations, scheduling difficulties, and now an inability on the part of the workers to actually process refunds (because, again, she has ALREADY paid for the massage that never happened) caused us to lose all faith in City Sweats. Very unprofessional, very rude, very bad business practices. read more

This place is really great. If you are looking to relax, detox, block, everything out for an hour or so it's all happening here. The sauna wrap left me feeling incredible. They give you a nice tour of the space for your first time here, tell you exactly what to expect, get you water, and then have a nice little set up in the relaxation room in the back after your treatment. Really relaxing and really good for you. Convenient location in the junction though Google maps were a little off on walking directions. Very private. The big saunas are nice to lay in and they have showers for after if you'd like. Would visit again and may even get a membership after I try the other sauna location on California and compare. Only downsides: I couldn't get the Bluetooth to work in the hut to put on nature sounds haha, the shot things don't have much taste. I have been looking for a little spa vacation for years around this place and finally we have something just up the street. City Sweats has always taken my interest however Wallingford was always such a trip. I started doing to City Sweats a month or so ago and I adore it. The customer service is fantastic. The ambience and general vibe is lovely. The booths are clean and I love that you have so much space to yourself. They also have a larger sauna for a party of 4 (although I'm not sure if that's changed during covid phase) They have a kangen water machine and encourage you bring your own empty water bottle that can be filled with filtered water. Once your treatment is done, it's not home time, you get to go into the back where they have a relaxation room. They leave you a thank you note, an orange and some cold tea. Kianna at City Sweats was extremely accommodating from start to finish. She greeted us as we walked in and got us all set up with the proper paperwork. She then went over some healthy drinks and treats to take before hopping into the infrared sauna. The ambiance of the entire place was very relaxing and welcoming. After taking the supplement shots she walked us back to our room and went over the process of getting ready and best way to enjoy the experience. We remained in the cabin for 45 minutes and then went into the cool down room which was extra relaxing and was one of my favorite parts of the experience. It was beachy themed and had Himalayan beach sand throughout the whole area. Felt amazing under my toes. The pricing is more than fair. I enjoyed my experience a few months ago when I signed up for an infrared session. When I entered the lobby, I was offered an elixir shot (which I got to choose the flavor). I was shown to my private spot which was for adequate spacing for one person and there were some fun settings to change the mood lighting. I also had chilled water, when I ran out I was able to call for more. There's an option to pay for essential oils to augment the experience. Once my infrared session was over I headed to the back space where I was able to decompress. There was a table ready for me with my name on the card. I had a nice tea to sip on as I let my toes sink into the white sand! The soothing music helped me relaxed before I went back to the hustle and bustle that is my life. I also purchased some useful items: a soap bar with a tigers eye embedded inside, a brush to help circulate blood flow, and a few real sponges which help exfoliate old skin and dirt. Waste of money. I can't believe how much these people are charging for a 40 min session in a sauna that doesn't even get very hot. When Banya is open, its the SAME price for a much much better experience that includes unlimited time with a dry sauna, wet sauna and three varying temperature pools. I misread the website and thought the cost at city sweats was for two people. Would have never willingly booked a session for the price they're charging. Such a weird experience too being in a wooden box behind a curtain while other people are doing the same thing. It felt like the Walmart of spas but definitely was not a bargain. read more

Had my very first sweat today at City Sweats West Seattle and I've been glowing for hours! This afternoon I experienced my first infrared sauna treatment, and from the moment I walked in the door I felt relaxed and comfortable. I was a total newbie with the infrared sauna and Caroline was friendly, warm, and informative when giving me a tour and helping me get settled in. My cabin was very comfortable and definitely spacious enough to share with a friend. The mineral shower and cool down space for relaxation after my time in the sauna completed the experience, and I left today feeling both energized and relaxed. After my experience today I am definitely going to sign up for a membership and I can't wait to come back and sweat again! read more
