The combo was really tasty and very filling. I also really enjoyed the fries which were topped with a seasoning, Parmesan cheese & fresh parsley - they are skinny shoestring type fries. The tenders I saved for the next day and ate cold, although I took a bite the previous day while warm. They were good but not as tasty as the fresh warm sandwich the previous day. I would choose the sandwich again the next time. They were not busy when I stopped in, the seating are is fairly small however. They also serve some of the best tea and lemonade that I have had in a restaurant. I could not stop drinking it. It is made fresh. I got a 6 piece tender combo with fries and City Sauce. It took less than 10 minutes for me to get my food and it was fresh. The fries and tenders were well seasoned and delicious. My only real knocks are that you only get one thing of sauce and not only is it very small, but was also not full. You get the same amount of sauce for 4 as you do for 6. The only other thing is that even though the tenders are really good, they are also really small. The staff there was awesome. They were very friendly and helpful. They checked in with each customer while I was there and they kept the place clean. I really liked my meal here, but wish they would include more sauce with their tenders. Long story short: BEST CHICKEN TENDERS IN THE CITY! (Thank me later) I was able to check out Citybird during their soft open weekend with my wife. We were familiar with the restaurant from our travels to Cincinnati and were thrilled when we found out one would be opening up near us. Upon arrival were were warmly greeted by the manager as we made our way to the counter to order. Despite the location being cozy, and having quite the crowd, the staff was very hospitable, helpful, & patient. Also, the music here is on point and could definitely lead to spontaneous dance breaks! The tenders here are so juicy and flavorful that they can be eaten without the sauce. However, all the sauces are good but the City Sauce & Lemon Thyme Ranch have remained my favorites. THESE tenders reminded me of another love's chicken tenders. Because BRINE! Yes, NOT heavily coated and over-fried bits, but real white breast meat that is generously seasoned, lightly coated, and perfectly cooked. Every bite was a deliciously moist morsel in my mouth, enhanced by altering dips of 6 homemade sauces. Six?! Yes, I had six sauces. As this was a new experience, I could not make up my mind on what 2 sauces I wanted (you might even say I was #lost). Instead of watching me sweat, Manager Andrew took things into his own hands and delivered a sample of each sauce to my table! I had six sauces. It's time for my monthly lunch date. And once again, Citybird didn't disappoint. It's funny when you become a regular and the manager smiles when you walk in. At this point, I'm pretty sure he knows what I want. It's very rare that I switch things up. My food was of course, hot & fresh. I will say that on this visit, I learned that they no longer carry the Truffle Aioli sandwich or sauce. I tried the sandwich one time as well as the sauce and I'm not surprised by the decision to no longer offer it. It was good, but it ranked low on my ranking compared to the other sandwiches and sauces. On another note, CB by far has some of the best music while dining. I ordered the original CityBird sandwich meal. The sandwich was very good. I loved the cold-slaw on top on the chicken. I was surprised by the amount of French fries I received. Usually I am not a fan of shoestring fries, but they were topped with Parmesan and chives. The whole meal was very good. The restaurant was very small; not many tables. It is designed more for grab and go service. I was going to grab and go, but I was hungry. So I ate at the restaurant. My bf and I ordered a large (8 piece) to share and I kid you not, the size of each tender is about the length of a finger. All 8 tenders together are about the same amount of food as a McDonald's 10 piece nuggets. I picked up my to go order and was wondering why it was so light, that's why. Citybird recently opened close to me, so I decided to grab it for carry out last night. Ordering through their website was fast & easy with my food ready within 20 minutes. I ordered the large pack and split it with my partner which was just the right amount of food for two people (and very cost-effective). We tried the city sauce and lemon thyme ranch and both were equally as good. The lemon thyme ranch sauce help to cut the spiciness of the (optional) spicy oil. Overall, the tenders and sauces had a great flavor to them. I will note that the fries seemed less crispy than expected, but I'm not sure if this is because they may have sat in the to-go box a little too long.
