This Slim Chicken just opened today in Westfield, where there is an abundance of fast food chicken places that entice Grand Park visitors. There was an abundance of new friendly staff on hand for the grand opening. They were working through a few issues with the heat system and the manager apologized and checked on us a couple times. I was glad to see a salad option. The Southern Fried Chicken salad is ok, but not very imaginative. There is an abundance of romaine lettuce, diced tomatoes, carrots, a few cukes, fried onions, a pepper and processed croutons. The chicken can be broiled or fried. Choice of dressing included a couple vinaigrettes which I found overly sweet. The Crispy Fried Chicken sandwich is very good, moist and tasty. The brioche bun is great. The music is a little loud and twangy. The dinning room is otherwise comfortable. There are a number of TVs playing football games. There is patio seating as well, with more TVs. There is a drive thru and an app for ordering ahead. Food is prepared fresh so there is about a 5 minute wait. There is self serve on Coke products in the dining room. There is a kids menu, but I didn't see any kid entertainment. So bottom line, great 5 star service, 3 star salad, 4+ star on sandwich.

Another score for the Slims! Cayenne Ranch Chicken Sandwich again goes right to the top for my all-time favorite farm bird sandwich, I do not understand it either! How does an under ten buck cluck handheld clutch the dub over all others ice sampled? Maybe the easy app order and inside experience, fun atmosphere, great outside patio, and friendly staff does it. But I'm guessing the massive slab of juicy chicken shaken in any delightful option of sauces takes the cake, rich and thick smothered in gooey spicy ranch, the brioche bun holds it together for half the meal. I'm hoping to see gluten free options very soon here. They need dairy free, coconut or soy shakes too because the strawberry shake goes wild every time. I sacrifice my digestive systems frequently for Slims and no regrets.

I love their chicken and wish they would expand across Indianapolis. Their sauces are homemade and offer variety, unlike other chains.

They were friendly, provided excellent customer service, and always made sure we had what we needed. The hostess seated us right away and was incredibly welcoming as well. When they ran out of kids' menus, they thoughtfully gave my daughter a blank sheet of paper to color, which I really appreciated. Even though it was a busy day, our food came out quickly. The ambiance was what you'd expect from a classic burger spot--casual, family-friendly, and comfortable. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely come back.

We had the bulgogi rice bowl - meat to rice ratio could have been better - as in the meat was a bit less compared to the rice. The So Ddeok so Ddeok was a hit with the sauce as well as the combo of rice cake and hot dog. The fried dumpling was however okay. We came for the fried chicken and that was definitely something we all enjoyed. We ordered the half and half boneless with the original and secret sauce - the original is just okay but has great crunch as expected. The secret sauce was better, however not enough spice so we will try a spicier sauce next time. The pickled radish was so very delicious. I couldnt stop eating them. Turns out the entire heated patio is first come, first served, and we were seated almost immediately. It was one of those windy Indiana afternoons where the cold finds every gap in your jacket. I fully expected to spend lunch shivering. Somehow, the heated patio felt warmer than the restaurant itself. Between the TVs, football on every screen, and the patio heaters, we had zero complaints. Now let's talk about the famous pepperoni-stuffed breadsticks. They're a must. And order your own nacho cheese. Seriously. Don't expect anyone to share. I could eat a shoe dipped in their cheese and probably enjoy every bite. The breadsticks always arrive piping hot, stuffed with gooey mozzarella, and if we're judging on a cheese-pull scale...I'm giving them a solid 7/10 on the stretch meter. As for our server, Zach...what a true gem. He's one of those people I'd honestly be surprised to hear anyone say they didn't like. Funny, quick with the jokes, and somehow kept up with the chaos without missing a beat. He also made sure my lemon drop martinis never had a chance to get lonely. Since I wasn't driving, he happily assisted me in...staying hydrated. The place was busy enough that we couldn't stand around chatting long, but he's the kind of person you'd genuinely enjoy running into again. We've been here twice now, and both visits have been consistently great. Whether you're stopping in to catch the game, escape the cold on the heated patio, or simply satisfy a craving for those ridiculously good breadsticks, Ale Emporium continues to be one of our favorite spots. Super friendly staff. We chatted with the hostess for a bit about the other Family of Grindstone restaurants. We started with the short rib poutine. We had it last year and frequently joke we need more than 1. The meat is so tender and there is a good amount of it on the dish. The app has plenty to share for the three of us adults. I also love the added touch of the scallions. For our meals, I had the Jambalaya pasta which was a large serving with plenty of meat, my husband had the tenderloin sandwich (which was massive and the best he said he has ever had on all of his trips to Indy) and our friend had the piggy melt grilled cheese (Mac and cheese and pulled pork!) That sandwich had incredible flavor and I said I'm getting that next time. We ended the meal with bread pudding bites as the photos on here looked delicious and the waitress recommended them. They certainly did not disappoint. The restaurant has a bit of a nicer vibe and there are certainly some people that were there dressed better than us, but it is not a stuffy atmosphere.
