The long and short of it here is that I don't have a spleen due to a car accident so I therefore don't have a real immune system. Which means...I am sick quite a bit and at least once a year, really sick. This week has been my week. I was turned away by another doc-in-a-box, not due to any specifics minus me rolling sans-spleen, but I was referred to CityDoc by the previous location. I pass it everyday on my way to work and it seems pretty new. I called ahead thinking it would be a long wait in a waiting room full of coughers and hackers. Not the case. They said come on in. Despite some sidewalk construction going on outside of the building, its an easy get-to. The waiting room is clean, spacious, and much to my excitement...was empty. I was greeted promptly and filled out the usual paperwork. As soon as I turned it in, they were calling my name to go back to a room. The nurse was really friendly and nice, obviously taking into account that I was ill. After the vitals check I was led to a big clean room where a small flatscreen tv was playing a movie. I waited no longer than about 10 mins total from the waiting room to actually having the doctor walk in the door. I was seen by Dr. Bailey who was very nice and took her time asking questions not only about my health but about me in general. Made me feel relaxed. I was in and out with some meds, and a shot...boo, but I was headed out with a total visit maybe all of 30 mins. I highly recommend CityDoc. I frequent these types of places and hands down this was the nicest staff, most through exam, and easiest doctors visit I've had to take on. They accept most insurances which makes it easy on us all. Two months ago i went to the location on Preston road in dallas. Even though I have insurance, which they took the information, they charged me the entire amount. Then explained as soon as the insurance paid them, usually in about a month, Citydoc will reimburse me. That didn't happen. I contacted customer support and they told me they did send the claim to the insurance co but the insurance co says otherwise. They now won't answer my calls or emails. Be carefull with this organization; they are obviously very dishonest! read more

Saw an experienced nurse practitioner and was very pleased with him. On the other hand, the tech who took vitals was not good at all. Took me to X-ray and said lay on the table. I asked prone or supine? I get dial tone. 2nd picture she says lay on your side? Well I've got two. Which one? She came back to treatment room with knee immobilizer, wouldn't or couldn't help me put it on for fit and to ensure I knew how to use it. Bad attitude, just tried to give me the device and rush me out the door. Seems like they'll hire just anybody off the street as a tech. You can train a chimp to take vital signs. read more

Terrible experience. They closed early because they were lazy. It was 7:15 and I saw they closed at 8:00 so I called to make sure I could walk in. I got an AI bot with no way to get a real person so I gave the bot a shot. It said they closed at 8 and they could absolutely take a walk in until then. So k drove the 20 minutes over there and walked in at 7:40 just to have the receptionist tell me they weren't taking any walk ins anymore. The waiting room was empty and no one was in the back, she just didn't want to have to stay after 8. My son just needed a strep test, it would have taken 15 minutes. When I expressed frustration she just looked at me with a "I don't care, I'm going home" look. So I had to try another place but was only able to get there by 8:10 and they closed at 8 as well. So I missed my chance to get my son seen that night because this place wasted 40 minutes of my time. So lazy, so unprofessional, terrible. Don't go here. read more

Not going back here if I can help it. They supposedly send scripts electronically but almost every time it does not actually make it to the pharmacy, and good luck trying to get the script worked out in that case. If you go here, always get a written script too. Also if you have met your OOP maximum with your insurance, expect that you may still have to pay with this place because even if the place is in network, they use out of network providers and rather than submit using the number for the practice, they use the provider number that will not be covered and refuse to correct and resubmit, all while saying it will be sent to collections if not paid. And good luck trying to speak to an actual person with billing. It goes straight to voicemail and you will maybe eventually get a callback, if you are lucky. Not worth it. But hey, got medical care that accurately diagnosed and treated, which is why this review has 2 stars instead of 1. City Doc has always been my go to place, but not anymore. who saw me was VERY young. Not sure she was a doctor. I was told I tested negative for Covid, Strep and Flu and that I had a cold. She prescribed NOTHING. I could tell that there was some chest congestion, so I went home and started taking Amoxicillin that I had on hand had some amoxicillin on hand. I started to improve quickly. I will take the amoxicillin for 7 days. Very disappointed in City Doc. read more

Just like another reviewer wrote, my prescription was written incorrectly by the "doctor" who isn't a doctor, it's a nurse practitioner. Note: There's a reason they say you will see "the Provider" - because you aren't seeing a Doctor! When I called to get my prescription fixed, the Medical Assistant gave me a bunch of attitude and said she couldn't do anything to help. What a joke! read more

Don't bother booking an appointment. It doesn't matter if you sign in online or not. We are sitting in the waiting room now. We showed up early for the appointment as requested and signed in. The app showed us next in line, but they took a walk-in before us that was on the list after us insteStill waiting 30 minutes after the appointment time. They shouldn't allow you to book appointments if they aren't going to honor them. Also we have BCBSTX insurance. I found out the hard way that you don't just pay a copay anymore. They take your copay amount at time of service but then bill you afterwards. After calling the insurance company they are only a preferred vendor so they just give you a little discount and you have to pay anything over that. Have ended up being billed for the kids last three visits after I thought it would only be the copay due. I will be looking for a provider that accepts BCBS insurance. read more

Absolutely terrible establishment. It's a complete joke. I came here for a rapid COVID test in order to be able to travel. The legislation stipulates that the rapid test is taken no more than 4 hours in advanced of takeoff - keep that in mind. I show up 10 minutes before appointment time, and I wait 20 minutes after my scheduled time. I'm taken to the back and they take your weight and blood pressure. Then they take you to a room. They then ask a lot of incessant questions, and after 20 more minutes they take the test. After 45 minutes of waiting AFTER the test I finally stick my head out the door and say, hey can I get my results? 10 minute later some large woman barges in and says WOW you cut it close to your flight .... ok, first of all you HAVE to come in near takeoff, and second I didn't expect this RAPID test to take almost two hours?! She then finally gives me my results after telling me to "enjoy my trip"... I'm going home and far away from you, this was in February. Everyone traveling at that time was due to emergencies and important non fun trips... so probably best to just give someone their results and not make assumptions. This place is an absolute disgrace. The only good part was the woman sitting at the front facing desk who knew the tests offered, price, and had to remind her colleague of all of that when I came in. Get better training, get better employees with more discretion, and people who responsibly handle COVID tests. Or just give up I doubt you're helping the community. read more

After being exposed to a person with Covid 5 days ago my daughter went to this clinic specifically to get a PCR test since that was the most appropriate test for someone without symptoms. Waited 90 minutes from her appointment time. Finally when she got in, the nurse wouldn't even listen to her as she said she wanted the PCR test and proceeded to stick the swab up her nose while she was still talking and told my daughter you want the rapid test. My daughter even told her my sister is an ICU nurse and said to get PCR. I am shocked at the lack of professionalism and care from this nurse. I would give zero stars if it was an option. Now we have to arrange for her to get a PCR test. I am regretfully out of town during this process. read more

I went in yesterday morning for an upper respiratory infection. The Dr said he would give me an antibiotic and a steroid. When I checked out I asked for the prescriptions to which the receptionist snapped "they were sent electronically! You don't get them printed". So when I went to the pharmacy yesterday afternoon I was told they didn't have them yet. Today I called the pharmacy to find no scripts had been sent. When I called citydoc t I was told they were sent electronically! Your pharmacy must have internet problems. Later the doc called blaming me for not picking up the printed scripts. Ive been going here since sora lily clinic was in business and im disappointed at this new clinics service. the wait times are long but the visits like 5 minutes, zero to no communication from doctors, & alot more expensive. i get all that. but service is really important to me. the (older) receptionist lady amy is extremely rude. i have always been polite and never experienced such terrible service. few months back she kept talking over me and wouldnt listen when i tried to tell her that i never received a call back from the clinic regarding my refill. recent visit review update: got charged over $140 before going in as usual but i realized the physician wasnt even there, just had my blood drawn for $11 more so when i asked why so much $ they told me they'd void that transaction but never did. after i called to ask about it the same receptionist wouldn't pick up my calls n kept transferring it to the allen location. the receptionist there did not help either.i sent them a receipt of proof that i got charged $140+ and no response! ended up gettin money back from my card company. its my fault i gave this clinic way too many chances, but i have to move my records elsewhere at this point. read more

This place was great! I had just found out that a friend of mine was COVID positive the night before and I wanted to find a rapid testing location ASAP to check myself since I was exposed to her. This place has walk ins so it's first come first serve so I went in the early morning and I got in line to be put on a waitlist and from there you can wait in your car or at home depending on the wait. They call you when it's your turn for you to come in and wait in the lobby which is a much shorter wait. While waiting, all the staff was incredibly nice and the doctor took the time to explain things and answer my questions without me feeling rushed. This place is literally the worst. If you need to visit an urgent care make sure this one is your last choice of hope. Went here only for a sore throat an easy fix and was given the wrong medicine. Called this place 3 times with no answer to see what we could do about getting another prescription. They said they were too busy. Called again hours later in the afternoon and none of my calls were answered. I had to call from a completely different number just to get them to pick up. I went here twice so far, first time got diagnosed with the flu, the doctor seemed very nice and know exactly what I needed... The rx wasn't send to the pharmacy until the next day when I called them twice, but it worked got the right med. but the second time was so much better... the doctor Zahoor Ahmed was more caring, and very well knowing what I got, so he even check how I do with my asthma, so I highly recommend everyone to give them a try, even after the first visit wasn't a great experience for you... every place deserves a second chance, and so it's the staff. read more

I went on a Saturday because I came down with covid the day before. My husband came with me to be tested because he caught it from a friend several days before and ran a pretty good fever. The mid-level who saw us was extremely dismissive and even though I have a recent history of being hospitalized 6 months ago with covid complications (I've got asthma), she refused to listen to me. She also lied to us about Paxlovid. She said it was not FDA approved. It was all over the news and it's on line that it was FDA approved in May of this year. UTSW gave it to me in January but this mid level provider had her own agenda. She was rude and refused to hear or listen. She obviously doesn't believe in covid. She told me she works at EVERY E.R. in town and if I went to one, I would run into her. She also said this place is the same as an E.R. It us NOT. If it were, they would charge me the $500 co-pay per my insurance. Don't go here if you want real care. I've had good care several years ago but it's terrible now. There is a critical issue that remains unresolved at this location. I genuinely feel like this borders on fraud. 3 times a member of my family has gone in and had treatment. They send a text the next day asking if you are better and if not, to call in. Each time, we called in (twice the issue was false negative flu tests). The issue is that they never answer or return you call. By the time you get in touch with anyone over there (and mind you it says to "call them"), 2 days have passed and they make you come in again and charge you another co-pay - saying you had to come in less than 48 hours later. Well, if you actually returned my call .....Once the billing department said they would refund my copay and never did. It feels like a scam to create enough time to make you pay another copay. I am looking into filing a formal complaint because, this is not OK. They refuse to help you over the phone ever. You always have to come in and pay again. Even if you were JUST there. I am a litigator and I know this is not right. read more

I went in for knee pain. The doctor proceeded to tell me that they don't have an xray machine that (and I quote) "can support THIS weight" as she makes a really offensive gesture about my body. It was vile and disgusting. I left on the verge of tears. I have never met a doctor with that lack of professionalism. Please do not go to this facility. read more

I was so impressed with the staff and doctor here. So easy to sign up online and set up an appt! My wait was just a few minutes and the staff was so nice and professional. Adrianna was great at answering my questions and Dr. Anderson was quick but thorough. I felt like she targeted exactly what was wrong quickly and I was out in no time. Didn't have a good reaction to the antibiotics, but they quickly agreed to call in something different to my pharmacy. They are professional, helpful and responsive! read more

Had to get a Covid test here. Very easy to setup and quick in and out services. I received a reminder text for my appointment. It was 3 of us and even though we had different appointment times they tested us all together. Cool! The nurse and the doctor that saw us was very friendly and courteous as well. Covid rapid test only took 15min to get results back. I will definitely use their services again if needed! Very positive experience here! read more

She made an appointment for 2pm, and got there at 1:58. They told her it was too late and come back tomorrow. She explained she had left work, was THERE, ON TIME, and right outside the door. They very rudely said sorry, with no explanation, and hung up. Then a security guard came out and told her to leave! read more

My 3 children and I had an appt to get Covid testing. We are not sick or symptomatic but needed negative test results for travel. When we arrived, we were told it was about a 20 minute wait. The receptionist was friendly but did require us to sit seperately. There was a sick woman, coughing and hacking in the chair next to me so I stood up and went to stand by one of my children and she told me I "was not allowed to do that" and had to go sit back in my chair. I'm not sure why a healthcare "business" would ever knowingly force a well patient to sit next to a sick one. After 2 hours of waiting we were finally called back. The MA was very friendly and told us everything her was going to do. However, when the NP arrived, she appeared overwhelmed (which I personally know how NPs are overworked in urgent care as I am one myself). Unfortunately, that does not excuse the fact that she never examined any of us. If CityDoc billed a full H&P plus exam, that would be fraud. read more

My review has zero to do with the actual treatment. The nurse, Doctor & PA are phenomenal!! I'm sending this review to basically get someone's attention about the paperwork part of the visit. I've been to 3 different CityDocs, Rockwall, East Dallas and Preston Hollow. Why do I need to fill out the same paperwork every time I come in as if I've never been to one of your locations. I should be able to come in, fill out the basic stuff (that's on your iPad) and wait my turn to see someone. Instead I come in, fill out the basic info on an iPad, then have to fill out papers with the same information plus other things like insurance info. Why I'm not in the system is ridiculous. Also, I have to fill all this out and wait for it to be processed in a system then pay and then see someone. I can see doing all this on a first visit or if your insurance info has changed but come on. Pls fix this read more
