The e-mails continued even beyond normal business hours to ensure we walked away as satisfied customers. The refund was returned the very next day. Even with the way things went on the premises in person, we are more than satisfied with their effort to make it right. Thank you, Escapology. We called on a Monday afternoon to inquire about availability, we were told they had openings and she would take our info over the phone and charge us for one person to hold a spot for us as we were twenty minutes away. When we asked about parking, the person on the phone instructed us that there was a parking garage on Cortez St, but she failed to mention that we could get parking validated by them for $15 and not have to pay the $21 parking fee. We only learned about the parking validation from the sign on the entry desk after we had already paid for parking in the garage around the block and we weren't going back down there to haggle for the $6 savings. There is also a sign as you enter the building that says to ask about the walk in discount. We asked about the discount four separate times, as we had two people paying for families, and each time Myesa ignored the question. It wasn't until she was asking for my payment that I stated she was ignoring our question and she told us we couldn't get the walk in discount because we called first. We asked how much the discount would have been and she said 20%, so with our group total of $280 that would have saved us $56 dollars. Note: it doesn't have any terms or conditions for the discount listed on the sign. After we stated it would have been nice to know that on the phone as well, Myesa was a bit smug, but showed us to our room. There are no bathrooms for paying customers, you must go downstairs one level to use the public restroom. For the price you pay at this location, which is the most expensive escape room we've ever done, for not any better quality or courteous staff, we won't be returning. The only bonus about this escape room is that it is right on the beach and close to many other restaurants and things to see and do. Find another escape room where they actually care about the customer.

Also, no one seems to ever be at the ticket counter. Last time we waited for about 15 minutes and no one came to help us so we left without redeeming our tickets for prizes. Located in the park is the Coral Springs Aquatic Complex which has 4 swimming pools, a kiddie water playground, swim shop, 9, 7.5 and 10-Meter dive platforms and fitness center. Classes and clubs meet here and the pool can be rented for private events. Olympic gold medalist, Dara Torres trained here. Also in the park is the award winning Tennis Center of Coral Springs which has 12 green har-tru courts. Membership is required to play here and participate in the programs and camps. My favorite part of the park is the Sawgrass Nature Center & Wildlife Hospital, a not-for-profit organization that rescues injured or orphaned wildlife. they provide the public with education about South Florida's wildlife and environment while rescuing and rehabilitating over 700 animals a year. They offer a a yearly Earth Day festival, summer wildlife camp, and programs for school groups. The Dr. Steven G. Paul Dog Park was built in honor of Dr. Steven G. Paul who dedicated his life to animals and creating this park for the community. Dr. Paul was a veterinary graduate of Ohio State University. He ran two veterinary hospitals and gave public lectures on pet care, wrote newspaper and magazine columns, and appeared on local television to give pet tips. Dr. Paul attended veterinary conference in Massachusetts in 1992 and saw a dog park in Boston Commons. He loved the idea of dogs playing freely and decided to bring the idea back to South Florida. The dog park was built in the mids 90's in the Coral Springs Sportsplex. New agility equipment and water stations have been added for the dogs and there are benches and shade areas for the people. The Florida Panthers Ice Den where the NHL Panther practice and the public can ice skate. They have a pro shop and ice hockey leagues and figure skating practice. The Coral Springs Sportsplex Park also has the Rotary Community Garden, picnic tables, public art, sports fields, a playground, and a walking/jogging trail. I have been here many times through the years to bring injured wildlife to the Sawgrass Nature Hospital, to take my daughter ice skating, with camp groups to use the pool, and with my Jack Russell Sunny to play at the dog park. I have a lot of great memories here. I can't think of another park in the area that has so much to appeal to so many.

Our group was the required 8 people, and it felt like too many-both in the sense that the room was small, and there wasn't enough for everyone to do. There were probably three people who didn't get to do much because only so many people can be huddled around one little clue. I would recommend going with a smaller group if they allow it. I also love the location being in the Oasis at Sawgrass, because there are plenty of options for dinner or drinks afterward.

I have even seen some adults out on the ice learning to skate too. The class is 45 minutes long. The instructors start off with some warm up exercises to the beat of some music and this lasts about 5 minutes. The music is then turned off and they break the students up in groups which is based on their experience levels. They then work on different techniques; starting, stopping, going backwards etc. That lasts 35 minutes. The final 5 minutes is free skate with the music back on and everyone skates in a big circle. Pure fun. I forgot how much I paid for the lessons, but I think it was in the 100 range for 4 lessons. The sessions are usually 8 weeks long, but my daughter started in middle so we were prorated. The reason why I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 was because the rental skates suck. The skates are beat up and the blades are dull. Beyond that the lessons are solid. Remember to tell them Dan sent you and bring a jacket because it's cold in there:)

The price? $10 per person! Better yet, after your 1 hour session, you get a free draft beer upstairs in their sports lounge! That's right they have a full bar upstairs and best of all they offer $1 draft beers as well as food. If that isn't you're thing, you are free to visit the other ice rink at the opposite end of the complex and check out local ice hockey teams playing or if you have kids, they offer a whole slew of children's activities, from learning how to skate, figure skating, ice hockey and, they even offer afterschool care as well as skatecamp for kids. Be forewarned though, it is a little chilly inside so you may want to wear/bring a sweater.

And honestly, the staff helped make it even better. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and genuinely helpful. In order to skate, they provide a digital QR Code to scan and create a Daysmart account with a digital waiver to sign. It was actually very cold walking around and not even on the ice. Basic food and drinks are offered at the snack bar near the entrance. Fun place to skate or just relax and watch the skaters in action on the ice. Dont forget to bring a warm jacket to deal with the frigid temperature.
