I have never met a Dr. with a worse attitude and bedside manner as the Dr on call yesterday 7/19.26. My 6 yr old was there with an impaled fishhook in his hand and it was as if we were bothering him. He should never treat children. The child was clearly scared and uncomfortable. This doctor didn't have a kind word to say made no attempt to calm him or talk to him. It was surreal how rude this doctor was. I pulled my child out of there. We went to.AM/PM Urgent Care in Allendale just 10 mins away and had the complete opposite experience. I paid $75 out of pocket for a doctor who spent less than four minutes with me. She barely looked at the issue and offered no treatment, just a referral I didn't ask for. No exam, no conversation, no effort. I didn't come in for a referral. I came in for care. Never again. I'm sure I'll get a bill for a ridiculous amount of money. First of all, when you go to any facility like this it's obvious you don't feel well, but to have a sarcastic Dr. (Michael) treat you poorly and rudely it is unacceptable. One and done. Great urgent care place. Very clean/modern office, nice employees, easy check-in with minimal paperwork, plus I was in & out in less than an hour for a walk-in. Went to this location due to being local and absolutely regret that decision. Walked right in no wait and that should have been red flag #1. Pushed me in and out of the facility. did nothing to help with my issue I came in for. I even brought up the fact nothing was checked, they proceeded to tell me it's nothing to worry about. I have been very sick for two days and got turned away . It was over an hour prior to closing time For this location when I visited . the doctors at this location are normally wonderful , it's the people who work at the front desk who really , quite frankly, suck. They have attitudes. I understand we are living in difficult times right now but I work customer service myself and I understand the challenges . honestly though ---I was a sick person being turned away , and there was no reason to be as nasty as the front desk was to me. Went there 3 days ago for Strep symptoms, mind you; two other household members are currently on a course of antibiotics for positive strep. I was seen by Dr. Okechukwu, he had the worst bedside manner! He was absolutely rude, totally dismissed my symptoms and concerns despite clear signs I have Strep. It was like I was rudely interrupting his down time and he clearly didn't want to see any patients at this time. Did a half assed rapid swab, said it was negative and sent me on my way all in approximately 5-7 minutes. Would not recommend going here for anything!! Save yourself the trouble of needing a second opinion, go straight to NJ Doctors urgent care instead!! Went to NJ Doctors urgent care and was meet with professionalism and kindness, was diagnosed with Strep and prescribed antibiotics immediately! read more

Got there an hour before closing on a Saturday, wife and kids waiting in the car. Place was empty, but it was over an hour before I saw the doc. Had some kind of infection, maybe prostatitis, very uncomfortable ... hoped for an antibiotic, and relief. Earlier I'd told the staff I'd had prostatitis before, and these symptoms were similar, so they'd taken a urine sample. "Well, it's negative," the doc said, as though accusing me of something. "So ... does theat mean I definitely don't have prostatitis?" I asked. "No," she said, annoyed. "It's still possible." "So ..." "Look, you have two choices," she said. "Wait until Monday when I can order you a CAT scan, or go to the emergency room tonight." My burning sensation wasn't comfortable, but I'd hardly call it an emergency. Not how I wanted to spend Saturday night -- and my wife and kids had waited an hour already. "I don't understand," I said. "Isn't past history of prostatitis and the similar symptoms enough to prescribe an antibiotic?" "*I don't know what it is*," she said, exasperated. Maybe she thought I was faking it? Not that she bothered to examine me to confirm anything. Nor did she say something like, "Look, we need a CAT scan to get to the bottom of it, it's the only way to truly diagnose the problem." I might have listened, despite the discomfort. But her bedside manner just plain sucked. She wrote me a referral to the emergency room, but I never used it. there is quite literally no reason to make an appointment. we waited over an hour and a half past our appointment time to be seen by a doctor. there was only one doctor working and a full waiting room. no communication from staff as to what was going on and overall rude. would not recommend to anyone. complete waste of time. read more

i would not return, unfortunately. the staff were all great, however, if you need to call for a dr note, or additional assistance, good luck getting anyone at their customer care number completely unprofessional - i called twice and was on hold for over 15 minutes for a dr note. i asked several times to speak to a supervisor and was asked to hold for an additional 5 minutes - both times i called. i never spoke to a supervisor and never received a note. i would never go back nor would i recommend city med. read more

Dr. Michael Bayless was so incredibly rude to me that I actually started to cry during my appointment. He was snippy, cut me off, and was so condecending that I was shocked...I've never experienced anything like that in a professional setting. The doctor I saw at the same location a week prior (who was very nice) told me to come back if things got worse, which is what I did this morning, but Bayless acted so angry like I was wasting his time. As he was clearly trying to wrap up the appointment ASAP, and I sat there stunned at how I was treated, he said "you look like you have something you want to say", which is when I started to tear up. I told him that I don't have a voice so I can't say much (which is part of the reason I came in), and he said "then I guess we're done here" and walked out. read more

Although this facility is very professional and very thorough I cannot believe I was charged 300.00 dollars for a office visit. A high price to pay for a stomach ache. Make sure there in your network or be prepared to pay the price. read more

Have good experiences every time I've gone for rapid test. Get in and out pretty quick. Takes longer than 15 minutes to get results but still good. They also helped when my mother was feeling very sick read more

This is a recently opened location and today was my first visit to get a covid test for my child. I checked their website before I drove there and was provided with SPECIFIC instructions for THIS location about the virtual-line system they were currently operating under. I called and asked about current average wait time and was told 2 hours. Based on their virtual line system, I would go there to check in then leave and return within 30 minutes of receiving a call or text message. However, upon arriving I was instructed that they are not using the virtual line and that I should have brought my child to wait without leaving the parking lot for the 2 hours. What really bothered me is that they didn't seem to care that I was provided with incorrect i formation from their site. Had I been given correct information, I would have likely used a different provider that I had also looked up online. Someone at the office said they would call their web people to fix the problem but I did not get the impression it would actually be done. I will gladly edit this review when the problem is resolved and change it to reflect any other interactions with their service. read more

Came here because I wasn't feeling well and wanted to get a covid test as well as see a doctor. Being cold and flu season (on top of covid) there was an incredible number of people seemingly in the same situation. I waited a while to be seen as there were about 20 patients in front of me when I checked in. I checked in around 4:00 and didn't get to a room until about 6:30 as they only had one doctor on staff at the time. This is why I'm giving 4 stars. Otherwise the facility was modern, clean and comfortable, and the staff were professional and kind. I got several tests done (covid, flu, and strep) and got all my results before I left (all negative!) I came to leave a review specifically to compliment the front desk staff. I waited in that room a while and witnessed their calm, composed demeanor and courtesy with every single person that came in or called. Given the stressful circumstances they could have easily been impatient and short with people, but they were extremely professional. I didn't catch her name but I witnessed the young lady there speak to a patient for about 15 minutes about where he should get a PCR covid test for future travel (they don't take appointments). She helped him find the information about his airline and destination and took the time to give him advice about when and where to go get tested. A little kindness goes such a long way, especially in these trying times. read more

Not great for young kids, just take them to their Pediatrician. Was incredibly disappointed by the doctor and medical assistant. Brought my 8yr old in for stomach, congestion, headache and fever. His older brother just got over strep. I was told by MA if he doesn't have a sore throat then he can't have strep... This isn't true at all. As a medical assistant myself for almost 10 years, you can have absolutely strep without a sore throat. I've also never seen someone swab a throat like this MA, it was awful and he wasn't even looking in his mouth. When strep and covid were negative the doctor told me he just had a headache. What?? Last time I checked a headache does not cause a fever, it's the other way around. Just say he has a virus. The doctor also didn't listen to his chest or look in his ears even though he has cough and congestion. She was in the room for less than 5 minutes, only looked in his eyes and then his throat as an afterthought when she put the otoscope away. Won't be bringing my kids back. read more
