So the only reason I gave this tour company 2 stars is that the last tour guide, Derek, did a great job. He was professional, articulate, knowledgeable, and entertaining. One bus we went on didn't have a tour guide and the driver wasn't able to provide any other information. The tour guide on the first bus had horrible grammar and imparted what seemed like the very basic facts about local attractions.

Product: Night Tour of DC for Two People We bought our tickets from Groupon the night before we went on the tour. Buildings in DC are big and slightly intimidating and we were so tired of walking long distance. The Groupon price was reasonable. Well, the instructions from Groupon weren't very clear so we had to ask someone to point us out where we needed to check in. The ticket agent redeemed our Groupon from the code and gave us a pink ticket slip. The bus arrived around 6:10 pm. We boarded the bus after the prior group had gotten off. We were given pairs of headphones which did not work very well. There were a lot of interferences. The bus driver checked with us whether the headphones were working. Other passengers seemed to have the same problem. The bus left 10 minutes late. Since there was no reservation, the bus was almost full and we had to wait on the last group to decide. There was not enough room for the entire group so they decided not to join us after 10 minutes. The tour guide has a British accent. He was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained during our entire trip. It was very windy on the upper deck. A jacket, a hat, and a scarf were needed to keep us from freezing. The weather was in the 50-60 ish. The tour was very much as described in the brochure. We got the brochure from the Union Station. However, the bus accidentally stopped in the middle of the dark, quiet Arlington National Cemetery for a few seconds. On the way back, out tour guide allowed passengers to get off along the way to Union Station. To be honest, we believe that our legs couldn't bring us that far and are glad that we went on the tour. We are impressed by helpful, friendly staff. We hope that the bus will be more on time and that the audio system will be improved.

Not the best tour for sure. Guide seemed funny and entertaining but didn't care at all that people in the back were not getting enough volume even though we kept signaling to turn it up, so we missed almost everything she was saying. Then, after the first hop-off, we had to wait 45 mins for bus to pick up when supposedly they should come every 20 mins. About 3 Big buses came and we were still waiting for City Sights. I guess if your looking to stay on the bus during all the loop and just look at the sights, and don't care about what the guide says, then it's a good tour.

With the amount of secret service activities, I'm sure the company understands the amount of time and brain power required to maneuver families around the city. We booked Arlington with the old town trolley tour. We combined the old trolley and Arlington tour. However, the website allows you to book separate dates for the 2 tours. Before you go on the tour, use the map trolley tracker to plan and track trolley live. It acts like a map and will guide you to the various stops. If you're driving, make sure to choose a stop and find the public parking closest to that area in order to return to your car after the tour. Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. The old time trolley will not drive you into Arlington. It will drop you at A1 spot to catch the Arlington trolley. Check the map consistently due to road closures. Other than that, I highly recommend you do this tour with the Arlington tour if you're tight on time in DC. Get off at strategic spot, see what you need to see, and move onto the next. From my observation, the trolley is not really wheelchair accessible. Person should be able to hop on and off without much assistance. There are other tour companies out there that might be better accommodating

We were lucky enough to be in a smaller van while others were in large busses, so our experience was more personalized. Dwayne knocked our socks off. He also knew his way round the current blockages/construction and was able to avoid politics while discussing the current construction which takes mad skills. He thoroughly answered any random questions we threw at him and had deep knowledge of subjects like the Red Cross and Clara Barton, I've volunteered with them for years and didn't know his fun facts. It was nice being a tourist in my own city, getting cute and girly with friends, and doing something different for the experience. The bus was on time, which I appreciated. The food, however, tasted a bit stale, and the entertainment on the bus was honestly kind of boring. I think the mic wasn't working well the afternoon we went because instead of sounding like singing, it came across more like screeching. The tea was cold, almost like iced tea, but I actually didn't mind because we were going over so many potholes. Hot tea spilling on me would've been a whole situation. Was it overpriced for the experience? Yes. But I got some good Instagram pics, had a cute day with my friends, and checked it off my list.

I did enjoy that parts of this tour. Didn't enjoy the "stories" so much. Would have liked more history. We got the bus the next morning and went to Arlington. When we finished we went to the stop, not such great bus timing. Their brochure said buses come every 15 minutes. After an hour of waiting we tried to contact BB to see what was going on? They do not have a phone number that works. There is an email address that stars it will get back to you in 24 hours.., what? We waiting over an hour and gave up for an uber. We did get another email telling us there are delays due to events. This is not okay we when have paid for a 24 hour pass that is not usable. All in all, our 24 hour pass was good for 3 hours. Reason for this? Maybe because only two buses run on Sunday. So unless you have the time to wait two hours for your next bus, it's not worth it! Do not use this service!
