The driver demanded $200 Cash just to move away. As a single mother of two, this amount is significant and I explained I didn't have it , but he insisted anyway. Thank god I have a credit card on me at the moment I was able to take a cash advance !! This felt like taking advantage of the situation. Citywide Towing is towing hard-working people's cars from in front of their homes, which are registered and insured, to the address from which they are stealing them. Citywide then charges them to return it, calling it a "service fee." When you call, the people who answer the phone are rude and keep telling you to call back. Even on private property, they don't have the common sense to confirm whether the car belongs on the residential property or is new or a rental! Be careful. Our battery died and we had a AAA warranty. We confirmed this with AAA. The truck came and said the warranty was no good. We sent them away and called AAA and told them the story. these guys are reliable and good .... normally. this time however, i was not present to attend to my vehicle while it was being towed. My wife and sister were there instead as i was at work and my hours don't align well with mechanic hours. after waiting 3+ hours for the tow guy to arrive (with enough time to do my commute to the drop off location) i noticed multiple items missing from my vehicle. Normally I wouldn't assume the tow guy, but part of my automotive lockout kit was pilfered, which is something i know they use frequently as i've used these guys in the past for a lockout. i don't care much for anything else stolen but if you guys read these reviews, i'd appreciate my air bladder and wedge back. read more

Their truck blew a hose and spewed hydraulic fluid on my driveway and on the grass next to driveway and they refused to clean it up. They sent someone out after I complained two times but he was only going to put oil dry on it he was not going to scoop it up. I ended up cleaning it up myself. I shoveled up the top couple of inches of soil to get it all before it soaked in. I ended up in a shouting match with Mr. let me call you right back. It takes a lot to get me going but these people really pushed my buttons. I can not submit a rating with no stars so I am giving them one. They deserve no stars. read more

I had a flat tire last week in the Atlantic City area. AAA dispatched City Wide towing. Edgar, from City Wide Towing, arrived very quickly and I was able to track his location and arrival time on the AAA app. Edgar was extremely professional, competent and kind. His vehicle was well equipped with the necessary equipment. He very quickly replaced my flat tire with the "donut" in my trunk. Edgar noticed the "donut" needed air and he took the time to remedy that before changing the tire, so that I could go safely on my way. He recommended a local tire shop, who could likely repair my damaged tire. I was alone and I had a long drive home. I was reluctant to make the journey with the spare "donut". I appreciated his kindness and professionalism. We need more people like Edgar in this world read more

Absolutely garbage company. Waited 4 plus hours for a tow through AAA. Initial call in , tow truck driver cancelled the service call with no reason or explanation. AAA re services the call same company same driver same problem. He didn't want to do the job , why I don't know he did not specify. Finally arrives around 3:40 pm and takes a look at vehicle says "can't do it ". Leaves ... mind you the amazing people at Marmora auto body came in on their day off to let us retrieve our vehicle and waited hours with us for this guy. Hours on their day off, for free just so we aren't charged another day of storage. Thankfully they are waiving our storage fee so we can try again tomorrow. CITY WIDE TOWING should lose their contract with AAA if this is how they run a business and allow their staff to trash talk customers. read more

These dudes flaked on my tow yesterday. They're whack. I had a tow scheduled with my roadside assistance through progressive. They provided me with the info of my estimated arrival time and the number to the company. I called 3 times while waiting, no one answered. They decided to drop the job of my tow in order to go get another wreck, without anyone calling or answering the phone. When they were rescheduled, for 3 hours later, they still were late on their eta. Progressive ended up calling Miles tow company and they came and did everything as promised. Had my RSX take when I was visiting my cousins apartment on for the first time. I was never aware of "residential stickers". Again being my first time there, I did not see any visitor parking signs, that were later pointed out. The gentlemen I contacted at CityWide (Friday Feb.4 around 3:40AM) picked up the phone urinating loudly, uncaring of my situation,as if it was stolen or impounded. He told me come in at 8:00am... This place towed my friends truck and trailer last night because it was double park (which I understand) but even if the truck was parked in a parking spot it would've gotten towed anyway because the trailer would've blocked the road. We have dealt with this towing company on multiple occasions and each time the employees were extremely rude. DO NOT CALL them they will hang up on you, give an attitude over the phone, and will tell you they will send you information to later say "we don't need to give you the information it's our property". Very non-understanding people who don't care at all what you have to say and will charge different amounts for the same job. I have had friends towed from this place for far less money than what they are charging us for being towed on the SAME street. These guys got me for a $100! Parked my car in a gravel lot up by AC Inlet to check the waves. Cold, windy day, not many people around. There for less than 5 mins and I turn around and they're backed up ready to tow my car! I tore a tendon in my knee so while on crutches, I'm trying to rush over there. My brother who now lives in Hawaii, ran over there but to no avail. The 2 drivers were super-rude yelling expletives and DEMAnDINg $100 or the car is towed! Imagine my sis and bro visiting from Hawaii just trying to show them the waves and this happens! The tow-guys saw us coming and knew we weren't parked long term. Granted I was parked illegally but I do this literally every time I go up there which is a hell of a lot. Not to mention I pay property taxes in this city! Did same and called AAA , City Wide Towing again showed up within 20 minutes as I live in Smithville. This time Ricardo showed up with new battery and replaced the old one . Service was excellent, he was courteous, quick and was geared towards satisfying me the customer. Within 15 minutes I was up and running.
