dropped my van off for the spark plugs to be changed out and they told me it wasn't the spark whole different problem after weeks of waiting they still never got to my car so I went to pick it up and no longer started so I had to get to my house and ended up changing the spark plugs myself and started right been driving fine ever since. should've never took my if they were that busy and the fact they didn't just do what I asked to do and said it was a whole different problem is also an issue and the fact is my drove there no problem just ran a little rough and when I went to pick it up, it wouldn't even start. We arrived in Atlantic City with the car sensors suddenly alerting us to a tire going flat. We found Mr. B's which was recommended by Siri and happily received immediate friendly service to repair the puncture in the tire. The tire had a sharp shard of metal that was removed and the hole was plugged expertly. Definitely recommend this business if you ever are in need because the gas stations can't help with anything except putting air in the tires. read more

If I could give ZERO stars for this place I would. The short version DO NOT GO HERE unless you enjoy SUBPAR SERVICE, a BAD ATTITUDE, and SCAMMED Now the details: I had my car towed to Mr. B's bc I had a flat and debris under the car that needed to be removed. When I arrived at the shop I explained I had a flat and the cars needs to be driven carefully into the bay where the lift is and Mr. B says he's not gonna drive it in and I had to drive my own car into the service bay, at this point I'm thinking that "B" must stand for BAD SERVICE but since I had already overnighted my new tire over to the shop I couldn't go anywhere else so thankfully the tow guy from "Hero Towing" was a awesome dude and maneuvered my car in with me directing him while Mr. BAD SERVICE disappears leaving us to do his job. Once the car was in I had to literally track Mr. B down to get clarification and make sure he understand what all the issues are. The next day I call the shop at 10am to check on my car's status and the first thing Mr. B says to me on the phone is a complaint that my car is burning his electricity and taking up a bay when I already explained to him that the tire wouldn't come in until sometime in the morning. So he earns his second title of Mr. BAD ATTITUDE. When I go to pick up my car in the afternoon, I pay by cash as his shop has a sign that says credit transactions will be charged a additional 5% fee, he tells me that he charged me 1 hour of labor to mount and balance the tire and to remove the debris for a total of $115 (even when I take the car to a dealer the same work never costed more than $60 and the debris removal was very minor) but I didn't want to waste any more time at this trap shop so I paid it. As I'm about to leave he stops me and tells me I have to take the bad tire and dispose of it myself. This is something that's usually built into the price especially since I'm already overpaying but he insists he will charge me a extra $25 if I don't take it with me and he tells me to put it on my leather seats, what a joke, so I loaded it in my trunk just so I can get out of there. Finally when I asked for a receipt he tells me if I wanted a receipt he's gonna charge me tax (an additional 10%) I thought if this trap shop is hurting that badly and needs to nickel & dime customers just to make ends meet I wasn't going to waste anymore time there so I just paid it to put all this behind me. Hopefully Mr. SCAMMER uses that money to hire a cleaning service to at least make his customer facing space presentable. read more

Well, within an hour or getting to AC, tire blowout. Thank god for run flats was still able to drive, with that said, boy are they expensive. We googled and pulled up to Mr. Bs. He didn't have my tire in stock but promptly ordered it. We spent maybe 15 minutes in the shop waiting. I was so surprised when it was delivered, as promised, 24 hours later. I came back to Mr. Bs for installation, and less than 20 minutes later came out with the new tire. They did not charge any BS fees, just a $13 installation and taxes. came toAC for a vacation. Check engine light and AWD light came on. Found Mr. B on map. Called and went in. This place was busy. Mr. B took my car drove around check the code. Told me the catalytic converter is the only code came on, cleared the lights for me. Told me I can still drive home safely (the thing I need to know the most at this point) and HE CHARGED ME NOTHING!!! and wouldn't accept a tip from me!!! What a great man!!!! When we arrived in Atlantic City on Sunday 10-8 our vehicle had a flat tire. I was told by our hotel they could help us out! They were very friendly and helpful. My tire was not repairable so they ordered me a new tire the next day! My tire was there as promised and mounted on my vehicle. I highly recommend Mr B's for any tire problem. I called ahead in the morning and asked when I can bring in my car for inspection. The guy I talked to was nice enough, said bring it on in anytime and it will take 20 minutes. The was the end of any niceness from anyone at Mr. B's. I drove over and parked on the street and went in the office, sat down patiently and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited. Mr. B and other mechanics came in and out of the office from the side garage door, looked at me, and kept going, not once said anything or asked if I needed any help. I was there maybe 20 to 30 minutes with no one saying a word to me. I left. That's OK, there's other places I can get my car inspected, but additionally I can write this negative review and I also get to tell everyone I know of my rude and terrible experience at Mr. B's. If they didn't want that all they had to do was exhibit decent customer service. That's all it takes. read more

TERRIBLE SERIVCE. If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. I got a flat tire while visiting AC for my best friend's birthday weekend. I stopped at the shop since it was the closest to my hotel. First they "didn't have" a used tire for my car. They probably saw a young girl who doesn't know anything about tires or cars and sold me a new one to rip me off. I asked how much everything would be they said $90. I said thats fine, they put on the tire. When I get rung up, the try to charge me $107. I said this is not what I was was told. The owner was EXTREMELY rude and gave me a speech saying he didn't know how many fee's the invoice would charge me until he printed out the invoice. How is he the owner and he does not know? He then told the worker is Arabic to remove the tired from my car. He told me to go somewhere else. Its only a few dollar difference but I do not appreciate trying to be scammed and ripped off by older men. I told him I was very upset and wouldn't be recommending anyone to his shop. I hope they enjoyed stealing $17. Please be careful everyone check the invoice and if you are able to get a tire somewhere else do that! I couldn't travel any further because my tire exploded but I DO NOT recommend MR. B'S tire shop. They are rude and try to scam you. read more

Had the unfortunate experience of coming to this place. We needed repairs and a replacement part. Called a towing company that referred us to MR B. Mr B quoted us 400 bucks for a simple parts replacement job. I've had parts replaced before and it's not my first time at a mechanic. I was suspicious as hell and didn't go for it. Went to another auto shop a few blocks away and the total job was 200. This guy will rip you off. Call around. There are plenty of auto shops that are open past their posted closing time. read more

Driving past it you can almost miss it, but seriously, these guys are the best and deserve a great review. I don't usually write reviews, but this has to be said. I was driving home from work one night when my tire blew out. I tried going through my insurance company for roadside assistance, but they made it so complicated that I hung up on them and started calling garages to see if anyone could help me. This was a Sunday at 6pm, so I was pretty much resigned to the fact that I was going to have to leave my car on the side of the road. I happened to call Mr. B's first, and the owner (Mr. B) was SO nice--he even called a tow truck for me to bring my car in. He reopened the shop to fix my tire, and didn't charge me an arm and a leg to do so. He also didn't try to push me to buy the most expensive tire, or to buy a set--something you can appreciate when you're stressed and don't want to be in an auto shop! This week, when my fuel pump broke, he worked on it himself for hours and kept coming back to update me so I wouldn't wonder what was going on. Let's be honest: mechanics have a bad reputation, but Mr. B and his guys are awesome. If you're ever stuck in Atlantic City, don't waste your time--call them and they will make sure you're good to go. read more

I was in AC for a few days and the 99 4Runner I had was overheating and burning up coolant, especially when idling. I took the car to Mr. B's, and asked them to look at it before I drove back to nyc. They had it for two hours, called us and said that there was probably a bubble in the line, but that there was nothing wrong with it. They let it idle for 45 minutes to see if it would act up, and they checked the lines, etc. So, they sent The Beast home with me, but the best part: NO CHARGE! I couldn't believe it.
