I wish there were an option to give 0 stars…read more This company has been a nightmare to work with. I had solar panels and a heat pump HVAC system installed by them. At the beginning, I was impressed by their professionalism and promises. However, although they kept saying "yes" and assuring me things would be handled, nothing was actually done. Weeks turned into months with no real progress. My project started in October 2024. The system itself works well, but the sheet metal inspection is still not completed. This has been dragging on far too long, and the lack of follow-through has been extremely frustrating. I strongly recommend avoiding this company. Based on my experience, working with them has been extremely frustrating and disappointing.

So high remark's for George and Team Sunshine customer Service, I will keep you updated once the reimbursement arrives, stay tuned! Everything was going ok, we encountered several delays, mainly from Eversource kicking back paperwork which put us over a month behind but I tried to stay positive. Then after the meters were switched out and we had our "Turn On Date" but the convertor wasn't working so we had no solar being produced!

Last March I contracted with Palmetto to put solar panels on my house, everything seemed to be going as planned it took about a couple of months to get them up there and get them working and they did a neet and clean job putting the panels up. But from that point on everything went downhill. They failed ignition inspection and then they just begin blaming everybody else but themselves. The service should have won live in June but after several calls over the course of 6 months it finally went live in December. During that time I was getting build my full electric plus I was being billed for the full solar. I contacted support and after two three conversations they agreed to reimburse me $700 for the inconvenience in the money I had spent paying to bills. Well no it's April am I still don't have that check. I finally had a supervisor call me and say I could reach out to her at any time. But the staff at Palmetto doesn't want to hear that and keep playing interference and each time they do the only screw everything up even more. So where I do believe in Solar I cannot say I believe in Palmetto.

We had a Sunbug system installed in 2019, and until this year I would have rated them 4-5 stars…read more The system was a good value and the sales and installation process back in 2019 were positive. But in January we noticed that one of the panels wasn't producing. We contacted Sunbug's service department, who did some remote diagnostics and hypothesized that the issue was caused by a faulty optimizer. They said it would be a few weeks before they could visit to perform the service, so we anticipated seeing them in February or March. After 6 weeks of radio silence, we followed up and were told they had us scheduled for April 14. The day the service was scheduled, we were informed that another job was taking too long and they would have to reschedule for the following week. After a few more weeks of silence, we followed up again. This inquiry was ignored, so 10 days later we followed up again. This time they said there was no update -- they were just too busy to do the work or provide updates. I had asked if they could recommend a partner that might have more capacity to service and was told no but that I was welcome to shop around. I am sure demand for solar is very high and qualified technicians are hard to come by, but I can't think of another situation that has taken approximately 6 months (and counting) to resolve after an initial estimate of "weeks." And the lack of information and tone of annoyance at my monthly inquiries has been discouraging. I wish I could still recommend Sunbug, but I would caution that, at least as of this review, they seem overwhelmed and out of ideas for adding service capacity or communicating accurately about their ability to service their systems. Having operated a business during periods of peak demand and service disruptions, I can't overstate the value of proactive communication about the cause of an issue, the plan for improving the situation, and guidance about what to expect when. Silence and "Sorry, no update, feel free to look elsewhere," do not inspire confidence. We are actively seeking help from other service providers, but it looks like we are going to be stuck with a non-producing panel during the peak production season.

SO AWFUL!! Completely untrustworthy liars. I made an appt for a $49 "service call" for Friday,…read moreand actually moved/cancelled all my patients for that day to make it work, as that was their first available time. I'm re-doing the kitchen, need an electrician to bring it up to code-- and I wasn't sure exactly what I needed done. (Because they need to know.) I called 3x the week before to confirm the appt. Two days before the scheduled appt they ask me to move it up a day, to Thurs, the next day. I say fine-- thankfully I had cleared that day too. I then hold off doing work on my floor so the electrician will be able to walk on it the next day. I ask if the electrician will be able to do any work on this "service call" but I now hear that the "service" described is just giving a quote. The receptionist says she'll find out if any other work can be done. I'm surprised that the appt wasn't booked with this in mind, as I had requested. Anyway, she calls me back when I'm in the middle of work, and says she needs to hear back by 4pm (in 10 minutes!) whether I still want the appt. Then she calls the next morning to say that appt is gone, as is the Fri appt! At this point, I don't trust this company AT ALL. I never said I didn't want the appointment. An appt had been scheduled. If someone calls the customer to say "I need to hear from you in the next 10 minutes or I'm not coming tomorrow" that is pretty outrageous. Perhaps worst of all was hearing her lies defending this unprofessional, unreliable, deceitful practice the next morning when she informed me she cancelled. She said she'd been trying to reach me. If this were true, why was I not informed every (any?) time I called? This is not the way to run a business. Also, requiring that the customer know exactly what is necessary before booking an appointment is not the way to run a business. Charging $49 for a quote but calling it a "service call" is not the way to run a business. Nor is lying. But moving and then cancelling an appointment capriciously, with ridiculous rationalizations, is so disrespectful and unprofessional. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. It messed up my work schedule, and my whole kitchen remodel schedule, delaying it at least a week. In the future I'll call an electrician who can answer my questions directly, book his own appointments, is straightforward and honest, and doesn't charge for a quote and call it a "service call."
