I hired CJ Landscape and Yard Maintenance to cut our lawn and bushes monthly. They do a great job, especially when cleaning up! Recently we decided to redo our front yard. We wanted to get rid of the old rock garden my grandparents installed more than 50 years ago. This required the removal of a large area of weeds and big rocks; to be replaced with new soil and sod. After discussing what I wanted with the owner, Chris, he helped me decide on replacing the rock garden with sod and instead of ripping out the older grass, suggested a plan to remove the weeds from a grassy area using natural spray instead of paying extra to rip out the old grass and weeds and replace with new grass. Had 2 fan palm trees which needed removal. I sent out multiple requests to various companies with the Yelp Request function. CJ Landscaping was the first to respond so we appreciated that. Then Chris and Jane arrived the same day to look at the trees and got an estimate. To be honest, he wasn't the cheapest....there was one cheaper estimate but it was alarmingly low to be considered legitimate. So without further ado, we scheduled the job, signed the appropriate paperwork. We had constant communication throughout the process. Chris and the tree climber arrived on time and got right to it. In about an hour 2 trees (appprox 20ft each) were cut down, all debris loaded in their truck, and area cleaned. They also put stump killing poison for free. I have had a really bad experience with this company. First, they never completed work which I paid for. Second, I had set up a monthly maintenance schedule back in May with them which they never adhered to (I think they did it twice). At first they would at least respond and tell me they would get back to me. Then they would call last minute to tell me they would be there the next day, then no one would show up. Now they just don't respond. I asked them several times if they were even interested in doing the work, they kept telling me they would get back to me to schedule. I just want to thank Cris and his crew for doing an awesome job with our overgrown yard. We had two large mango trees that needed to be topped off and trimmed, two dried up 40ft Cypress pines that needed removal since they were a safety hazard, numerous palm trees that need trimming, one 30 ft papaya tree that had to go and finally several snow queen hibiscus that needed to be lowered down to 6ft and trimmed. That may not seem like much but trust me, it's a lot especially since they were overgrown. Additionally, our yard is a bit cramped in space and some of these trees are hard to access without potentially causing damage to our house or worse, the neighbors' houses. Not only did CJ Landscaping do a good job, they did it efficiently, quickly and safely. These guys definitely know what they're doing. They came on time, got right to work and didn't stop until the work was done. They even removed/hauled away two dead tree stumps laying in our yard at no extra charge. When they were done, they left the yard as well as surrounding areas and street clean. And no, I didn't see them blow debris in neighbors' yards unlike what a couple of reviewers said. Honestly CJ Landscaping was not the cheapest quote we got but we hired them based on their methods and safety precautions they take. In this case, we got what we paid for and then some. read more

This family owned business does not care if you are unhappy with service nor do they disclose details of cost of service. I paid 6 months in advance ($500 venmo) for them for weed control, grass blowing) they did not haul the weeds away and the weeds were not controlled. I do not reside on the property (which they were aware) so the green bin was completely full and was so heavy that trash did not take it. I would have been ok if they let me know they were using the bins so that i could have my neighbor place it outside for trash day. When I sent them an email, Chris the owner replied, its ok you are unhappy. I have attached the email and the contract so that other customers are aware how this business handles client service and how they conduct business. I am in the industry of this and businesses are able to move forward through this pandemic by communicating and resolution. I will never use them again. Shopped around for someone to do a thorough clean-up of our overgrown in-law's yard. Chris met us to do a walk through assessment and quote. Sent us his estimate in writing and asked us to sign a contract. I was a bit surprised to get a contract however it allowed us to make sure what we wanted was in writing. On the day of the job, we went to the property to observe the work. They did a good job of trimming and removing the trees and foilage. One disappointment was they did not cut a tree stump to the ground. It was left about 2 feet high. They explained their chain saw was not equipped to handle a big trunk like that. C J Landscape response was very fast and their quote was very competent and agreeable. Cris came quickly to my house to look at my upper sprinkler valves (on a hill) that were leaking. There was a 4 set valve group in the sprinkler ground box. We decided to change all 4 valves. I also had a water leak at one of my sprinkler pipes below ground. He did such a great job that I made him come back and do my ground (lower) level, 4 valve sprinkler group. He and his wife are friendly and very professional.
