Unfortunately, I cannot recommend his services based on the quality of the work and the subsequent troubleshooting advice provided. If you are considering hiring him, here are the factual issues I have experienced since the installation: Defective Zones: Immediately following his maintenance visit, the sprinklers in Zone #2 stopped popping up entirely. As my videos and photos show, the heads just sit at ground level and sputter water directly into the dirt and rocks, forcing me to manually water the area. Inconsistent Coverage: The new spiral heads fail to provide even water distribution. Despite regular watering schedules, the yard now has several clearly visible brown, under-watered spots right next to perfectly green, healthy grass. Poor Professional Advice: When I reached out regarding the dry spots, Toby's recommendation was to drastically increase the watering time to 24-30 minutes per zone. read more

My client's front yard in Ocean Point had a leak in their sprinkler system but didn't know where it was coming from. The yard was flooding but the sprinklers weren't working. With a call placed on Monday, Toby was there on Thursday; I had said it was NOT an emergency. He arrived on time, having also called when he was about 30 minutes away. He quickly identified the location of the underground leak, and identified two different contributors to it. Within about 90 minutes both causes had been expertly repaired. Our lawn sprinkler system 5 valve PVC piped manifold has leaked several times in the past few years, and sprung another leak on the street pressure side of the valves early this month. Prior repairs were done using PVC pipe and components. We did not want to face future pressure PVC pipe and/or joint failures/leakage, so Toby remade the valve pipe manifold using copper pipe and fittings. Very professional work, done as if it was his own home...took extra care and time to complete the work so that the finished product performed well and also looked great. Explained how the work was being done and why. Materials and equipment installed are high quality, professional grade. Communication was quick with a few details on our sprinkler issue, Toby then scheduled me a service, when he arrived he assessed what I needed and got to work. It was a fairly simple two valve replacement along with assessing sprinkler heads and mounting the control box. I don't have before photos but the controller was hanging by one screw and none of the wire conduit was secured. He fixed it and replaced my valves, then did a pressure test for leaks. I had a leaking in-ground valve system that I wanted replaced with an above ground anti-siphon valve system. Besides Hawaii Sprinkler and Lighting I called a couple other companies for which they all were fairly in the same price range, however I settled with Toby at Hawaii Sprinkler and Lighting because he was very communicative and responded to all my questions quickly.
