That same week, I missed a grooming appointment -- the first one I've ever missed -- and realized it about an hour later. I immediately called to reschedule. Instead of any understanding, I was told I would be charged a $35 rescheduling fee. I explained the situation, apologized, and even offered to tip the groomer extra. The woman on the phone was rude, completely unsympathetic, and told me they could not book another appointment unless I paid the fee, even offering to charge the card on file. I declined and then emailed the owners. It's now been about a month, and I have received no response. I understand policies exist, and I even understand that the employee was likely just following them. But as a business owner myself, I also understand that there are moments where compassion and common sense should outweigh rigid rules -- especially for a loyal customer of over a decade. I don't typically leave negative reviews until I've exhausted every avenue with management, but the lack of response speaks volumes. For the sake of a $35 fee, you've lost a loyal customer of 10+ years. That's incredibly disappointing. Do better, Central Bark.
