I didn't even know this place existed. Now, I'm so glad we found it. A nice atmosphere and amazing food! We both ordered the Blackened Chicken Lasagna that was the evening's special. It was delicious and a huge portion! The employees and servers were very friendly. I am definitely recommending this place to everyone. Prepare to spend anywhere from $8- $15 a plate possibly, but definitely worth it! Can't wait to go back! read more

Interesting menu. Nice kitchen/dining area. High end clientel, altho most probly live in attached housing community. Nice staff. Will never go back!!!! I visited here with my parents for dinner, and my dad stated it's "the best lasagna I ever had!" It was a comfortable, authentic atmosphere. You could smell the wood fire oven as you walked in. Our waiter, Chuck, took care of us and gave us recommendations. My mom and I shared the large portion of pasta topped with salmon in amazing sauce, and we were very happy with it. I got the red sangria that topped it all off. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the area. read more

The pizza crust was the closest to authentic italian crust (took a trip to Italy years ago) in the MOV area other than Shorty's Pizza. The thing I didn't enjoy was when I got my bill and it was $40 for a small and large pizza. I thought I was going to fall off my chair. From now on I just order from Shorty's. Cindy and Chef James Auvil's CJ's italian Kitchen's delicious gluten-free dairy-free pizzas made with freshest toppings and the extra bonus of gluten-free and dairy-free gourmet desserts from Shannon Strauss' 2 Chicks Bakery in Marietta, OH, made the trip well worth it. The restaurant is located on a lane at the top of the hill off the road through the gates of a housing subdivision. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would travel a ways to dine there again. read more

We went here again on a recent Friday night, and I thought I'd write another review because the menu seems to have changed quite a bit since our last visit. The raviolis seem to be a thing of the past, and now they have a much more traditional Italian menu, although they still have the gourmet wood-fired pizzas as well. I had the chicken parmesan, and the portion was huge! My husband had the lasagna, and the portion of that was about right. There was only one thing about our meal I didn't like-- the flavor of their marinara sauce. It had something "extra" in it that just turned me off. I thought it was cilantro, but I couldn't be sure. (Does anybody actually put cilantro in their marinara sauce?) The rest of the food seemed really fresh and well-prepared, but every bite was slathered in the red sauce that I just didn't care for, so I'm afraid that's going to be a deal-breaker for me. We might still go back and try the pizzas, though. read more

Had better wings at Bdubs, They advertise fresh ingredients and serve a pre-made frozen pizza crust. What a waste of the wood fired oven! The raviolis were homemade?? Don't get your hopes up for this place. Out of the way and expensive. $$$ read more

We recently went there for an office celebration on our lunch break, got seated immediatley which was very nice, Had several questions about menu,my boss coworkers and myself were all disappointed in portion size, Had to send back a sandwich that was chared on top,woodfired is fine , charred is not. the Chicken salad sandwich that was ordered by my boss couldnt be eaten as a sandwich because the plain white bread it was served on was so dry it fell completely apart, The sauces were not as ordered ,and the waitress was not happy to replace things.no refills on drinks, and extremely overpriced. But nice clean room and good atmosphere.Its a shame we all had a bad experience. read more

My wife and I were there about a year ago, and the food was very good. Last evening, my wife went with a friend, and brought me a pepperoni pizza and the remainder of her Chicken Parmesan with linguine and Alfredo sauce, of which she had only one or two bites. She said the menu was quite different from what she remembered, and also narrow in choices. I asked if her friend, who is Italian, enjoyed her meal, and my wife said she did. As for the pizza, it was good; as for the chicken, it was okay, but the Alfredo sauce was off. I ate it all, as it was palatable, but doubt I'll order it--if we go back, that is. read more

I have tried CJ's three times. I have always gotten pizza and a salad. Beware of charges. I have ordered their "Blanc" pizza 16in. (This is 4 cheeses with white sauce) one of their specialty pizzas at a cost of $14.95. I love mushrooms so have asked each time to add mushrooms to the "Blanc" pizza. This time I got a shock on the bill. The waitress didn't tell me I couldn't add anything to their "Blanc" pizza. I was expecting the normal additional topping charge instead, I was told I created my own pizza and each topping was a charge. My $14.95 "Blanc" pizza just became $20.49, to my love of mushrooms just became a $5.54 additional charge. I also have gotten "The Salad" (they have two salads to choose from, Mediterranean and "the salad") I get the small "The salad" $3.50 it is small and served on a very small plate so not easy to deal with greenery falling over the sides. It is very tasty. The two times I have ordered it, it lists walnuts as an ingredient, neither time did I have a single walnut. There were crunchy croutons but no walnuts. Nice interior but a noisy if crowded as the floor is stone tile with a high ceiling. read more
