My sister and bil invited me along to support her. When we walked in we were greeted by super friendly employees. My niece was so excited to try it she was telling us the whole way there and she had a smile from ear to ear as soon as we walked in. We were there a bit early but kids started to trickle in and they had quite a few kids. The instructors did a fabulous job considering they were teaching different age ranges. The class was 90 minutes and they were split into different groups where they were able to get more one on one instruction. The instructor told my sister that my niece is more suited for an intermediate class and was surprised my niece had never taken any classes. She is now signed up and will be taking classes. I'm so happy there is a place that makes kids comfortable and make it fun for them.

Such a fantastic place!…read more My niece had her gymnastic spectacular tonight. All of the kids were great! The staff was incredible and the parents were your typical proud parents. Lol! The gym was spacious and very well lite. It was a bit warm. But, there were about 200 people in there. The staff offered treats and a 50\50 raffle. It was great to be able to see and hear about some of the more advanced students. A few suggestions. Air conditioning, maybe a better way to "check" in? Or instead of having people form a line, a ticket booth? It was so packed in the little front lobby. It was hard to breath. The pictures, shirts, roses and sweets may have been better placed some place other then the small front lobby. Its an awesome place to learn gymnastics. They offer many different things. Including mommy and me all the way up to adult. The staff was fantastic with my hyper 5 year old niece.

If my son had a bad day, he let me know and if he had a good day, he was absolutely celebratory. He also was always very positive and encouraging either way (to all the kids). He is (or was?) a school principal. When my son got moved up, everything changed. He hated gymnastics. He frequently complained about how mean his teachers were. I watched as the teacher made him sit through the class by himself. When his class was over, the teachers always had plenty of criticism about him. He would run out of his class every week sobbing and hiding in the locker room. My son is not a perfect angel. He has ADHD and can be challenging to teach. But he's in other weekly activities, like skiing, karate, and piano lessons. None of his other teachers have criticized him so severely and given me the kind of hopeless feedback that Gym World has. I think the teachers for the boys at my son's age are in over their head. They don't seem to understand what is developmentally appropriate for children at this age. I know Gym World has an amazing reputation and maybe they just expect every 6 year old to be interested in pursuing a professional gymnastics career. Whatever the reason, they ruined my son's love of gymnastics and I unenrolled him. His emotional wellbeing and mental health was just more important to me. It's also worth mentioning that I went here as a kid and in retrospect, I remember quitting at a similar age for the same reasons. I don't recommend Gym World unless your child wants to be a gymnast.

However, I've been here enough times to know a five star gym when I see one. The Ganims' "no nonsense" approach to training makes Gym World the elite of the elite, and they have the trophy wall to prove it. If your child is serious about gymnastics, this is the place to be. Children come from all over Ohio hoping to be the next Olympic gymnast. Which I can tell you, gymnasts good enough for that, come from Gym World. With 40 years of experience under their belt, you couldn't ask for a better place for your child to train. I personally have never seen a group more organized and ready to go.

Cleveland Sports Institute seems to be the umbrella organization for Parisi Speed School (a running…read more/ speed school) and Cuyahoga Crossfit. This is about Cuy Crossfit. The actual gym is amazing and I couldn't ask for more. They have a flat track along the side for the running school, along the other side are machines, pull up bars and in between is this plastic turf. At first I hated the turf, it hurt my hands and is very rough but along the way I realized that it provides great traction and cushion for many of the workouts. The trainers (I've gone through three of them in OnRamp) are all doing very well considering the OnRamp class sizes. They had a Groupon, so I'm not sure if this is indicitive of a regular OnRamp, just to throw that out there. They work on form, though not as much as the other two Crossfits that I've been to in the Cleveland area. There are always some people with poor form...and if I can see that they have poor form, that's pretty bad. Personally I've found them to be helpful and attentive though. There are a wide variety of workouts going over gymnastic moves, weight moves, etc., all in a training function. Overall, pretty happy with Cuy Crossfit.

Unfortunately as my first time coming here was not pleasant. Our son had been begging us to go…read morejumping. Found this location first and thought let's try. Thankfully he enjoyed himself and that's what mattered most to me. However, whoever the person is attending the actual park, not sure if she is security or what, she said my son was "trying to get away from me" and blew a whistle at me for jumping with my son. I found she was extremely passive aggressive and I actually went to the bathroom to cry. I wasn't damaging equipment, my son (and I'm sure if you have cameras you can check) was begging my husband and I to come jump with him. This woman told me a story about how she jumped with her daughter and her daughter ended up breaking her leg, telling me how fragile kids are. I'm actually a teacher, so I work with kids 24/7 and am well aware of this. Told me "mom to mom" basically, she made me feel unwelcome to jump. After we just spent $50. After I came back from the bathroom, my husband at this point was going to have a word with the front desk. I noticed she was also singling out other people as well, as well as playing on her phone, sitting in massage chairs, and taking up benches. I'm going to say this as nicely as I can, but I almost wonder if she was targeting me because I'm a small woman and CAN jump with my son without injuring him. Am considering taking my son to another park after this day, as again that was terribly uncalled for in my opinion her approach. I understand if she had a safety concern, but if that was the case, I don't think any of that backhanded commentary was necessary.

If you like a gym that promotes bullying, is more concerned about the team placing as opposed to…read moreadvancing the gymnasts and coaches who promote positivity but fail to follow it themselves, this is the gym for you. If you like your child to come home crying and like them to be treated poorly, this is where you should go. They hold back gymnasts from advancing to higher levels so they can get more team banners and awards. Girls who are consistently placing in the top 3 in all individual events and all around are held back. If your child is a star they are coached and allowed to offer their opinion or suggestions about their routine. Otherwise they have to keep quiet and are not allowed to have an opinion. They get screamed at with very cutting and nasty comments in front of everyone. There is no warmth or cooperation or compromise. At meets the coaches are more concerned with what is on their phones than they are about the warm ups or actual performances of the gymnasts. Parents are not allowed to talk with the coaches. The owner, who is a control freak, insists on being a part of all conversations. I haven't been to many gyms but this is the only one I've been to where the gym and observation area are separated by glass so you can't hear what is being said in the gym. Hmmm wonder why that is?
