My daughter and arrived as a walk-in and were seated right away. She wanted French tip manicure on her natural nails and I requested gel manicure. It was very different process than I'm used to when I get gel manicure elsewhere. The technician was fast and applied the polish nicely. However, once I left and was in the sun I noticed there were bumps and bubbles beneath some of the nails. The tips were rough and no polish applied to the tips, so you could see the white of my nails at the ends. Some of my skin still had a few small spots where the polish wasn't removed with remover. My daughter's nails look great, her technician did a great job. The atmosphere was ok, it was bright inside. The waterfall glass feature on the wall has lots of mold at the top. It needs to be cleaned or removed, can't be healthy for the workers in there on a daily basis. Also, there was a time when all salons were using sanitized packs, so you would know all their tools were clean and safe. This place definitely does not abide by these rules. Nothing was sanitized. We were there early (just as they opened) in the day and the clippers being used looked very dirty. As well as the cuticle cutter, it was very unclean looking. They definitely did not clean the tools/utensils. I'm not sure we will be back at this particular salon. read more

I go to CK Nails about every 2 weeks and have a good experience every time! The women in there are all so nice and respectful.

This is by far the worst place I have ever been to for a pedicure! The technician acted like I was interfering with her social life with the other employees and never looked or talked to me except to ask what service I wanted along with "what color." I paid for the upgraded service with a stone message that lasted for less than a minute. She painted my nails in less than two minutes and they look horrible. The whole experience was less than 25 minutes and the lack of quality is apparent. The only plus side is the place is decorated really nice and it has the potential of being a quality location with the right people. read more

I asked for a $57.00 Full foot pedicure/spa but at the end I was charged $77 because he said he used quick dry on my toe nails. Total crap!! And when I asked about it he acted like they could not understand what I was asking. My friend at same time asked for extra long nails with French tip. They charged her $15 extra for length, $20 extra for french tip, and I'm not sure what else but her total was $134.00 at the register. She was furious because she had asked for a $40 set of acrylic nails. This place is a total and complete ripoff. I'm not kidding!! GO ANY PLACE ELSE!! BTW...my toe nails on my right foot had to be redone after about two weeks by a new salon artist because I was having pain in my big toe nail to discover they had done a crappy pedicure. I don't think it gets any better than this place. I'm currently out of town and this is the closest nail salon. I am so glad I found this place. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with special treatment. There are so many polishes to choose from, with an array of services to follow. I went for their deluxe pedicure that included my choice of essential oil (I chose lavender) along with leave (eucalyptus). I've never had that option before and believe me it was worth it. Did I mention that this is a new spa, apparently this spa was located somewhere else and moved here, and I am grateful. I will be going back right before I return to VA and they will be missed. I just left this nail spa and I don't know why I returned because every time I've gone their I get the worse service! I was desperate today to have a nail repaired a service that would have taken all of 10 minutes he told me it would be $18 and a hour wait! They just didn't want to do it! Maybe it's me because it's always the male manager that denies me service. Multiple times I've made an appointment get there and he tells me it's going to be a 1-2 hour wait! Maybe business is just that good they can afford to not have my business. I do not recommend this nail shop! I brought my fiancée here to get a pedicure. We decided to get mine done as well (I'm a guy). We called them because they were close to the house and they accommodated us immediately. Kudos to the staff! When we arrived they welcomed us and brought us to the back, there was no wait. We were able to sit next to each other and got our feet done. As a guy, I half expected to feel out of place but I really never felt that way. Their shop is very clean and gender neutral. They even have a couple of princess type kid chairs for younger girls. I've been going here for a year and it's very hit or miss. There's only 3 people there that I would trust to do my nails and half the time they double book me so I can't even get them. The prices change every time, they're very distracted and unorganized. Last time I went she messed up the polish on one of my nails then got an attitude with me when I asked her to fix it. Come to find out you text Cindy for an appointment and I give 50% tips soooo when I was asked for a 20$ deposit to schedule really?? I walked in and was told it would be 30 minutes. So we waited an hour and I asked how much longer and was told it would be at least another 30 minutes to an hour. I asked why I was told 30 minutes to begin with, as I wouldn't have waited if it was going to be 2 hours. I will never use this place again. I went in for a full set. And I didn't realize the sloppy job that was done on one hand until I got home and couldn't go back. The tech never took the thin file bit and file around my cuticles to clean up the over spill of the acrylic in which was just about covering my cuticles. The tech also never buffed them so they had that "clay" look with lumps an divots. The next day, I went back and asked if they could just file around my cuticles as the acrylic spilled over onto my skin, making it look really sloppy. The tech never buffed my nails before polishing them so they were lumpy and looked like clay. Not smooth at all. I wasn't upset, I was even willing to pay to have them fixed. When I showed the guy and explained what I was not happy with and kindly asked them if they could just file around the cuticles to clean them up, the guy asked who my tech was. I told him I don't know as I don't go there often and get a new person every time I do go. Not to mention, they wear masks so I can't really see their face. He literally called each employee up one at a time, in front of other customers and asked me if it was them. I was so embarrassed. I told him I wasn't trying to get anyone in trouble, I just wanted to get them filed around my cuticles to clean them up since they looked sloppy. I told him multiple times that I don't mind paying. I just would like to get them fixed, and be on my way. He said that it's important to know who the tech was so that they can fix it. To which I understood. And I told him I understand. But the person who did them, I don't see here now. So maybe they're off today? He would then start talking to another employee as they kept coming up to me one at a time, looking at me like I was trying to get someone in trouble. And again, I repeated that I don't mind paying for the fix. If we could just get them fixed and I'd be in my way. I was so embarrassed at this point, I finally said I'll just go get them fixed somewhere else. He said okay. I don't have time to fix them and no one else does either. Even tho there were absolutely no one waiting to be seated, and the amount of customers there were less than the amount of employees. So not sure how no one else had time to fix them. My daughter went to the nail salon yesterday at #CKnailsandspa in Gulfport Halfway through her dip manicure the manicurist walks away and stays away for 30 minutes comes back to my daughter and said oh I'm sorry I had to eat ,that was so unprofessional to start with.Then she continued to dip her nails way too many times causing the nails to become way to thick.she didn't polish them smoothly and cut her finger with the drill bad. When she returned home I contacted the nail salon and made an appointment for the following day to have her nails fixed ,we showed up at our appointment time and waited more than 30 minutes for the woman to help us instead she started doing someone else's pedicure at that point I spoke to the manager and I told her we had the appointment at 11 and it's now 1145 she persisted to tell me that I wasn't there at 11 .I was there at 11 but regardless it's almost 12 at this point so I asked for a refund and she refused to give me a refund $55 wasted .so please don't waste your money going to this salon.They did a horrendous job and have horrible customer service skills. read more

To start things off I thought the owners at CK Nails& Spa was sweet down to earth people they fooled me until I started working for them and not on the end of sending money with them to get my nails done at one point. I seen a lot of stuff going on from the owner and coworkers treated each other in a hostile environment. I guess there was a reason why the position wasn't open because no one would wanted to work in that environment. To cut it short it was such a hostile environment from the coworkers and owner mentally verbally abusing me. I reported it to the owner nothing was done after she said I wasn't the first coworker that came to her and cry about it. Second the coworkers would gossip mean things about clients and other coworkers in front of clients that I couldn't believe was happening. I thought that was really rude if I was a customer there at that time. Also don't work for them if you don't want to be yelled at in front of the customer very day for every little thing you can't please the owner. O yea only say yes or no nothing else or you be in trouble lol no I'm not picking. What not to do and to do changes ever day to there boom. I was going home hating my job and cry for how miserable i was every day. I know hind the feelings good in the work place at times. I don't know about you but I don't like spending my money with a unfriendly owner that they don't think their crap don't stink. I guess the Econ will be making them a visit. I had my last straw of it. I enjoyed working with the customers no problem there. I was contacted by a staff member via phone the day before my scheduled appointment I scheduled two weeks ago and was given false information in regards to a nail technician and when I brought it to management's attention I was disrespected and asked what do you want me to do and why do you keep making a big deal about it? No one deserves to be treated this way and I warn all individuals to enter at your own risk. There is drama (petty competition) going on in that shop and they are going to extreme measures involving customers to attack each other. Due to this poor behavior I was inconvenienced severely and management does not value long term clients as I have been scheduling my nail appointment every two weeks now consistently for almost two years. Worst nail salon I've been to. As I was getting my nails done by the older nail tech, she scolded me about the shape and length of my nails. She also made at least 4 of my nails crooked and charged me an extra $5 when I asked her to fix them! To top that off, she only painted one coat of polish so my nails are practically see-through. She cut me multiple times with the drill, creating hang nails. I also had acrylic stuck to almost all of my fingers. Within 3 days of getting my nails done, my cuticles have started to peel and one of my nails is cracked down the middle.
