Writing this review just two days after putting my amazing Great Dane down. I called multiple at home vets to ensure I was going to give my pup the best care on his last day. The vets I called lacked the sympathy and understanding. It seemed to be more of a business deal instead of the important last day for me and my pup. When I discovered CK9 veterinary, I called and talked to Dr. Clint, he was VERY sympathetic and calming. Just speaking with him gave me the peace I needed to ensure my dog was going to go in peace. On the day I decided to put my dog down, I called Dr. Clint and had a hesitation and ended my call before he answered. I received an immediate call back with reassurance and sympathy. There was no rush with Dr. Clint. Dr. Clint took the time to ensure I understood the process. He allowed me to walk out at anytime if needed. It breaks my heart writing this, because it means I'm acknowledging that my baby is gone. However, it's a necessary part of sharing your life with a pet. Of all the options available for this service, I am glad I found Dr. Kuban. My sweet Bill is my whole entire world. I knew in advance that she would be leaving me shortly, and it gave me time to find the best possible provider. Call it excessive, but I even watched the Animal Planet interviews with Dr. Kuban so I could know he was the right fit. You can tell just from listening to him speak that he is compassionate. Dr. Kuban drops what he is doing at all hours to help your pet. His prioritizing of end of live services is touching. It is such a difficult time, and having someone able to quickly come help you makes a world of difference. I am just shocked with the incredible above & beyond service this man offers. Dr. Clint is a complete God send. I'm not sure who all works under this location, but my poor pit has a UTI & the fact he was able to fit her in completely last minute today was already a huge weight off my chest, BUT he even CAME TO US. We have been looking for an in home vet service we trust & we were completely blessed to receive a call back from this guy. He got her up to date on vaccines & established a long term plan of care for her as she is a tri pod. By the end of it all I will admit I was dreading hearing the grand total for two shots (vaccines), uti antibiotics, & his over all check up/long term care evaluation.... It was $50 cheaper than ANY of the vet clinics I called in my area. If you are in the Littleton/Highlands Ranch are PLEASE just give him a go, because I could not be more pleased with this experience. I never thought I'd be leaving a review for the vet who put my dog down, but here I am, happily doing so. Dr. Clint is amazing and he was a godsend in our extremely sad time. Our beautiful dog showed us he was really sick earlier this week, and after working with our fantastic vet, we realized the best thing for him would be to allow his soul to leave his ailing body. Our choice was to do in-home euthanasia, and our vet doesn't provide that service, so I had to find someone else. I called a bigger service - a national company - and it took 6 minutes to get my call answered. They said they only provided this service between the hours of 9a-5pm. Thankfully, my mom had found Dr. Clint's name on her Nextdoor thread and shared it with me, so I called him too. I'm so glad I did. He answered almost immediately (even though my number is out of area) and I was so impressed with him just in that first few minutes. I broke down crying within the first minute but he handled it perfectly. He made me feel really comfortable as he explained what the service entailed, ensured me euthanasias were his first priority and he would come day or night, 24/7. His passion for his life of service is apparent. We chose him. I am thrilled we did, and very happy we chose to do this at home. During COVID isolation Dr. Clint Kuban came to our yard to take care of my "babies." They took to him immediately and even my "super senior" allowed him to do bloodwork and nail trims- which have been a big ordeal with some others. He has come to do exams and training many, many times and is a genuine "saint/angel on earth." I highly recommend Dr Clint Kuban for his gentle and compassionate 'above-and-beyond' care for my shut-in sister when her cat died. She couldn't leave her home and she was grieving and could not find someone to help after hours. I found CK9 in Yelp and gave him a call -- it was about 8 pm -- and he was at my sister's place to help with the deceased cat within 20 minutes! Dr Kuban was kind and helpful, and calmed her down; then retrieved the cat. He took it back for cremation -- and the cost of this great service was very low especially considering the time of night. My sister had lost her mobile veterinarian service 2 years ago, and had not been able to find a replacement. She is thrilled that Dr Kuban's practice is entirely mobile! And he is affordable. And I too am thrilled (and relieved) to know she can finally get her cats the shots and exams they need. I would recommend Dr Kuban, who is Ivy League educated, and a great communicator, to care for any pet or animal of any kind -- and wish he was closer to me, because I'd trust him with my pet's life. read more

It comes as absolutely no surprise to me looking at Dr. Clint Kuban's yelp page, that there is not a single bad review in sight- as a matter of fact, ONLY five star reviews. I find this incredibly accurate. My husband called Dr. Kuban as well as a series of other vets as our dog had become very unwell overnight and we had assessed from other vets that he may have had a stroke. The end result was that we ended up needing to put him down. Dr. Kuban answered on the first ring at 7am. Was very informative, thorough, and helpful, and even gave us another clinic to call for a second opinion. He drove out to our house, gave us our options, and we decided euthanasia was the most compassionate route to go. He was so supportive of us, as my husband felt a lot of guilt for having to make the decision to put an end to his best friend's life, and he assured us that we were doing the right, good, and kind thing for our boy. He even left for 30 minutes so one of our family friends could come to the house as he was a huge part of our dog's life as well. After it was all said and done, he even called us to make sure that his name was spelled correctly when he was cremated and had his pawprint done which I found very considerate. We were so thankful that in such a painful experience we had someone as professional, but kind, warm, and compassionate as Dr. Kuban. You can tell that he really, genuinely, deeply cares about animals and understands the impact on their human lives. I cannot imagine a better way to go through something so terrible. I had the pleasure -- and great relief -- of contacting Dr. Clint Kuban just a few nights ago when my sister, who lives in Westminster, CO, called me in tears to tell me her cat had passed away in its bed. She was distraught and didn't know what to do -- it was after 7 pm and she had no one to turn to to help her. Not only was Dr. Kuban available, he himself picked up the call and was soon on his way to my sister's home to pick up the deceased kitty. When he got there my sister was still in tears and Dr Kuban comforted her by talking about his own beloved cats. She calmed, and trusted him to go upstairs to scoop the cat and bed up together, and take it downstairs and out to his truck. She asked to kiss her kitty goodbye and he was incredibly kind and caring. From there he took it back for final cremation. When I spoke with him that night on the phone (I am out-of-state) he was very kind and patient, and quoted me some astonishingly reasonable rate for his exemplary service. I had no doubt he would be perfect to help my sister with her poor kitty. I followed up to speak with Dr Kuban the next morning and he told me how it went, and we spoke a few more minutes about my sister, and I asked him about his practice. Again he was very kind and articulate as well. Dr. Kuban is an extraordinary veterinarian, well-educated, a great communicator and very patient. His empathy for pets and owners is clear, and his love of pets is profound. His practice, relatively new, is at this point completely mobile, so he can go to the residence of the animal-in-need and take perform exams, provide shots and diagnose when something more is needed to make the pet healthy again. His rates are so reasonable - a little on the low side in fact - and his care is so complete, I wish I had access to him in my own state! Alas! But those with pets who live around Westminster, Littleton and the surrounding area can now enjoy his fine service, professionalism, compassion and intelligence right there in their own homes. I can not recommend Dr Kuban more highly! And I'm so very grateful for his help and dedication. Even with lockdown in place, he is there for you! It is rare that I can speak as highly about a person or service as I am about to about Dr. Clint Kuban but quite honestly, this guy is magic (and NO, I'm not his mother and had never met him before this past Monday). I have two dogs, one of whom is so large he's often referred to as a house pony. They were due for exams and vaccines but due to Covid precautions I was told by my vet when I called for an appointment that I would (understandably) have to wait in the car while they were taken inside. When I told the receptionist I thought I'd wait for things to loosen up, she recommended Dr. Clint who had served as that office's overnight emergency vet. Dr. Clint walked into our home and immediately put my dogs at ease. They had no clue they were "at the vet" but simply thought they were playing with a cool new friend who seemed to speak "dog". That service alone would have been well worth the extremely reasonable price but what came next blew my mind: One of my dogs, Cash, is an Akbash/Border Collie mix who was rescued with his litter from being drowned at the hands of a sheep farmer. He has both extremely strong guarding instincts (Akbash) as well as herding instincts (Border Collie). We live in the foothills where wildlife abounds and Cash has been 100% positive that the deer in our yard are trying to kill us all and heretofore responded accordingly. This has stressed me out (and I'm sure Cash as well) for the last four years. Dr. Clint spent an hour with us and the transformation so far (four days) has been nothing short of miraculous. I have booked Dr. Clint for the next six weeks because I truly believe that Cash will be completely relieved of this problem behavior and learn many other new skills that will make him a model citizen with Dr. Clint guiding us both. I highly recommend getting into his practice sooner than later because I am positive that CK9 Vet will have an extremely full roster very quickly. Dr. Kuban is the most professional and compassionate veterinarian we have ever met. He recently helped our most precious dog, Lucy, transition with end of life services. He was responsive within minutes of our phone call and came to our house to provide end of life assistance. He also took care of cremation services and created an incredibly special paw print keepsake, which he delivered to our home! Our family is beyond grateful. We had the absolute best experience during a very heartbreaking time. We called Dr Kuban when it was time for our Lola to cross the rainbow bridge. He was nice and compassionate on the phone, we discussed him coming out the following day, and he asked me to text him with the information to confirm. I did that, and he confirmed that he would be to our house at 7 pm the following day. Anyone that has had to make this decision knows how awful and gut-wrenching it is. When 7:00 came and went without Dr Kuban showing up, I texted him around 7:25 to see if he was on his way, or if he got lost. The message was delivered (I knew that, thanks to iMessage), but no response. I waited 10-15 minutes, then decided to call (at 7:37). he answered like normal, so I told him who I was, and said he was supposed to be here at 7:00 for Lola. He replied with "oh shoot" and said that he had just gotten back into service area from being with another client, apologized, then said he was on his way. He apologized again, and said he was about 20 minutes out. He finally arrived at 8:20/8:25 (at least 40 minutes later). While at our house, he was kind, polite and compassionate, which I appreciated, and Lola didn't mind him (she wasn't always welcoming of strangers). As he was leaving, he asked which location we'd like to pick Lola's ashes and paw print up at. We told him, and he said it would be 5-7 days. I texted him 8 days later, asking if we would be getting a call from the company he used, or how we would know when to go pick up. He said that they had gotten her to him directly, and he would make us the first stop the next day to drop off. When I got home, I asked my husband if he came by - he did not, nor did he call. I texted him (again) to ask if he was still planning to come by. He said that he ended up with a lot of end of life appointments, and he would come by the following day. I asked for a time, to make sure we were home. He was only about 45 minutes after that time, which I'm assuming was intended to be an estimate, but I am now just happy to have my girl back home. Dr Kuban came highly recommended, so I was extremely disappointed to have multiple poor encounters with him. I hoped that the first instance was a fluke, as everyone has a bad day, but frustrated when it continued. He was great with Lola, but his people skills can definitely use some work. As I mentioned, this is a devastating and gut-wrenching decision to have to make, so to have to "chase" someone down for this was extremely disappointing and added more hurt than was necessary. I hope, if nothing else, that this review helps him to look at his own practices, and to be more proactive in the future by reaching out to his clients when running late or something comes up. read more

Although he is a brilliant and comes with an excellent resume, he speaks in understandable language. He calmly repeats the information in a variety of ways until he's certain you understand the circumstances of your pet. Worst euthanasia experience ever. I'd leave zero stars if I could. Dr. Kuban was 45 minutes late for our scheduled appointment, did not spend more than 60 seconds "assessing and examining" my dog before recommending euthanasia, and I had to offer information on her medical history as he did not seem to think it was important. He had to stick her four times to establish an intravenous catheter and caused her to bleed over her dog bed. She was in no way comfortable during the process. He asked for Nextdoor and Yelp reviews immediately after the euthanasia was complete and said he would contact me about returning her cremains in approx. 14 days. No phone call received. He showed up unannounced and brought me cremains that were in no way enough to be from my 60 pound dog. After speaking with the cremation agency it was learned that he brought me a different Lucy dog that he euthanized the same day. I told him I would call the following day to arrange to exchange the cremains, but he showed up again...unannounced. Not to mention, I can never truly be sure that the cremains I got belonged to my Lucy dog. Such an unnecessary shame. All in all, I was left with trauma that no one should have to experience with the loss of a pet. Next time I will definitely use an established company and not the local vet that was less than compassionate and professional. read more

On literally one of the toughest days of our lives, he came to our house (and responsibly let us handle it the way we wanted to - even with COVID) and helped us say goodbye to our dog Rozzie in the most peaceful and loving way possible. My cat fell ill over a weekend in March. I knew it was time and couldn't bare to leave the house with him and put ourselves through that. After calling over a dozen clinics and mobile vets, no one could come until Monday but we couldn't wait that long. Thankfully we found Dr. Kuban, he said he could come in 45 minutes. Clint has a true love and passion for animals and it shows. He took care of our Bailey and made me feel calm given the circumstances. He also took care of all the cremation services and made it very easy for us. Dr. Clint Kuban For us, Dr. Kuban started out as an urgently needed appointment and ended up being so much more. One of our dogs, Sophie, needed to be seen for a lump on her head but with COVID challenges, she couldn't be seen by our vet for two weeks. Dr. Kuban arranged to see Sophie the next day and upon examination, determined an X-ray is the next step for her. The day of Sophie's appointment, our other senior dog,Maddie, experienced a sudden and extreme decline in her physical and cognitive abilities that Dr. Kuban immediately assessed as a probable stroke. At 15 years years of age with a weakened heart, extensive MRIs or tests would be a strain for Maddie. Euthanasia was the other option. Dr. Kuban provided us with compassionate and competent counsel as we had to make a most difficult decision regarding euthanasia. We made the appointment with Dr. Kuban to return for Maddie and spent an emotional, tear-filled day and a half with probable false hopes, self-questioning guilt, while reading multiple opinion pieces on this subject. When Dr. Kuban returned to our home, we had determined we were doing the right thing for Maddie. Dr. Kuban sensed our remaining traces of guilt; he confirmed our reasons why we were making the best decision for Maddie. Dr. Kuban described each step of the procedure prior to starting to answer any questions we had. He performed the procedure in the most comforting way, initially while I held her, then while she laid in her bed. We appreciate this service that Dr. Kuban provides. We can't imagine going through this with a beloved pet again without him. read more

Super friendly, and even if your completely freaking out and asking a million questions he stays calm (the emergency vet/owner, Clint) and continues to answer all 1,000,000 questions. I just wish there were more vets out there like this. (My dog Brutis had gotten extremely ill over just a few days and other vets in the area were recommending surgery and wanted ridiculous amounts of money to keep him overnight and give him medications we got over the counter much cheaper, then a neighbor recommended Clint, we called and he was at our house in less than 2 hours, did a ultrasound (looked at the lower belly with a portable tool thing) and gave us honest recommendations, advising against surgery even but making sure we knew it was his own opinion other vets were still entitled to theirs, and continued to give us advice and help us find the right meds. At that point in time Brutis was not expected to live much longer by anyone really. That was a year ago. He's been perfectly happy and healthy since, and he's just taking a little Milk Thistle daily 20mg or a little less, no hardcore meds. I couldn't be more grateful to have gotten this extra year and he's still doing great so hopefully we get another good year if not more.) read more

I recently moved to Denver and right away had a scare with one of my older dogs. Without knowing anyone and not knowing where to go for a trusted Vet, I was pretty much already discouraged and scared. I have had so many disappointing visits at animal hospitals and clinics, and I felt sick to my stomach that I would have another disastrous outcome with no real solution or answer. I read through review after review and made tons of calls for an appointment but to no avail. I had lost my other dog of 12 years recently so anything on the topic of scary dog issues is hypersensitive to me.
