    Thank you Dr. Clint
    Gary D.

We contacted CK9 and Dr. Clint Kuban to see our newest family member a 14 week old Cockapoo pup, Zion. First off we really loved that Dr. Clint comes to you and visits your furry family member in their own environment, eliminating the typically stressful veterinarian office visit for a pet. Literally sitting on our floor face to face with our puppy, he took the time to gradually gain the trust of our little guy until he was happily sitting in his lap and looking as comfortable the vet-Dr. as he does with us. Dr. Clint is personable, knowledgeable, caring and approachable with any of your questions regarding treatments, nutrition or options for future care. He is focused on gaining that all-important trust of his patient before the exam. In fact the exam happens in the background while he is interacting with and engaging your pet. Zion had no idea he was being examined nor when he received his vaccinations.....he was simply playing with a new friend. We and Zion feel that we have found a vet-for-life in Dr. Clint Kuban.

    She's obsessed with him.

I am just shocked with the incredible above & beyond service this man offers. Dr. Clint is a complete God send. I'm not sure who all works under this location, but my poor pit has a UTI & the fact he was able to fit her in completely last minute today was already a huge weight off my chest, BUT he even CAME TO US. We have been looking for an in home vet service we trust & we were completely blessed to receive a call back from this guy. He got her up to date on vaccines & established a long term plan of care for her as she is a tri pod. By the end of it all I will admit I was dreading hearing the grand total for two shots (vaccines), uti antibiotics, & his over all check up/long term care evaluation.... It was $50 cheaper than ANY of the vet clinics I called in my area. If you are in the Littleton/Highlands Ranch are PLEASE just give him a go, because I could not be more pleased with this experience. I am looking forward to having my pups in his care for as long as I remain in Colorado. P.s. My pup didn't even feel the shots and she absolutely LOVES her new Doctor. Thank you SO MUCH DR. CLINT!!

The vets and techs immediately began to help and diagnose, which included a clear treatment plan, and eventually surgery, all of which were necessary to save our dog. Dr. Thaeder, Dr, Martic, Dr. Schultz, Alexis, Sam, Becca, Kim, (and several others I'm undoubtedly forgetting) saved our dog in the most impressive, transparent, and compassionate way that I never knew existed. We witnessed every step of the process to diagnose and restore our dog's health. If you want to stay all night with your pet, you can. If you want to watch their x-rays, they have a window for that. If your pet needs an operation, you can observe that from a window if you want. If you need a private room, there are several. Apart from the deep knowledge and passion these vets clearly have, they treated our dog like a member of their own family and he clearly fell in love with them. He's already getting back to his ornery self each day, and we are so grateful!

The entire staff, especially the nurses and Dr. Pierce, was so knowledgeable and caring. We came in during a big rush but they got us checked in and shown into a private room right away. We ended up having to wait about 2.5 hours from when we came in to when our boy could get into surgery to repair the damage, but they were checking on us the whole time. The pricing was not nearly as bad as I expected, honestly pretty similar to what his primary vet would have charged for the same services. Dr. Pierce was very good about sitting down to explain options and providing clear guidance about what he thought would be best. So glad to know that this place is here in case we ever need emergency vet services again!

I brought my nine-year-old Pomeranian to Animal Urgent Care after a seizure because his regular…read moreveterinarian had not yet opened. I approved bloodwork to look for metabolic causes of the seizure. The bloodwork was useful and ultimately showed no obvious peripheral cause. What I found frustrating was discovering that an IV catheter had also been placed at a charge of $120. I do not recall consenting to catheter placement; I recall specifically consenting to the bloodwork. No fluids or medications were administered through the catheter during his visit. The medical record states that catheter placement was approved, which does not match my recollection of the conversation. After several hours, the treatment provided consisted of examination/observation, bloodwork and placement of the unused catheter. Hospitalization for continued neurologic observation was recommended, which I declined in favor of taking him home and following up with his regular veterinarian, who knows his neurologic history and current medications. I understand why an emergency clinic might want IV access available in case another seizure occurs. My concern is not that the clinicians considered it medically reasonable; my concern is that a $120 procedure was performed that I do not believe I authorized, and I did not understand until later that the catheter had not been used to administer any treatment. In an emergency, owners are frightened and making decisions quickly. Clear communication about what is being proposed, what it costs, whether it is diagnostic, therapeutic or precautionary, and obtaining explicit consent before proceeding are extremely important. My primary concern is the IV catheter and the lack of consent. The catheter had already been placed before the veterinarian came to speak with me. I was never asked whether I authorized placement of an IV catheter, and I was never told that it would cost $120. What I was specifically asked to authorize was the emergency/triage evaluation and the bloodwork, which I approved. The medical record subsequently states "IVC placement approved." That is not an accurate account of what occurred. I did not approve catheter placement. By the time the veterinarian discussed the diagnostic plan with me, the catheter was already in my dog. It was never used to administer medication or IV fluids. When I decided to take him home, I also had to specifically request that it be removed. Ultimately, I paid $610 and left without any treatment having been administered to my Pomeranian for the seizure--no seizure medication, no fluids, and no other therapeutic intervention. I understand that examination, bloodwork and observation have value, but for our particular situation this emergency visit was not worth the cost or the additional stress to my dog and me. In the future, I will make a seizure-management plan with his regular veterinarian so I know exactly when emergency care is warranted. His regular veterinary clinic opened approximately 40 minutes after I arrived here; in retrospect, I wish I had kept him safely confined and comfortable and waited for his own veterinarian. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this clinic.

They got him in for a CT scan quickly, gave us options to keep him comfortable with the breathing issues he was having, and he was scheduled to start radiation within a week. After completing SRT Radiation with Dr. Vernon our cat was in partial remission and breathing much better, and thankfully we had another happy 10 months with him. Dr. Vernon did everything he could to help and was always available when we had questions or concerns. We knew that everyone there really cared about our kitty and how he was doing. When it was unfortunately time to say goodbye to our sweet boy they sent a very thoughtful condolence card that meant a lot to us. The Emergency department was also wonderful when we had to bring our cat in when he wasn't feeling well - there were several emergency visits needed throughout the year, and every vet we met was attentive and knowledgeable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing Oncology or Emergency services for their pet.

Titus wasn't acting like himself; lethargic, breathing a little heavier than usual, and just clearly not feeling great. As any bulldog owner knows, you don't take chances with these guys, especially on the road. I ended up taking him to Evolution Veterinary Specialists in Denver, and honestly, I couldn't be more grateful. From the moment we walked in, their team was kind, calm, and professional -- exactly what I needed in the middle of a stressful situation with my best buddy. They assessed him quickly and thoroughly, and it turned out he needed some intravenous medication and monitoring overnight. Leaving Titus anywhere is hard -- especially in an unfamiliar city -- but they made sure I knew he was in the best hands. They kept me updated and treated him like he was one of their own. By the next morning, he was perking up, wagging that little stump of a tail, and ready to hit the road again like the tough little traveler he is. Huge thank you to the team at Evolution for not only taking care of Titus medically, but also for being so compassionate and reassuring to a worried dog dad. You all are the real deal, and I can't recommend you enough to anyone in need of top-notch veterinary care in Denver.
