About three weeks ago I had decided to try out kickboxing because I was bored of my gym and not seeing any real results. I needed direction and thought a class setting would be the right thing for me. I'm a new mom and it's very difficult to get away since I don't have much help at home, so I went to my first class at 5:30 am. They offer your first week free of classes, or they have a great deal for $24 that is three classes with a pair of gloves. I bought my own gloves so I could possibly go more than 3 times. My first class was with Emilee and she gave me a light intro to the different kicks and punches, she was so friendly and made me feel like I was already apart of their family. I didn't feel silly or uncomfortable when I didn't understand something, she lets you do your own thing and helps you along the way. My first class was AWESOME and now I'm seriously hooked. Every class I've taken has been so different every time, I love that it keeps me on my toes. I'm officially addicted and just wish I could go everyday! I'm already down ten pounds and feel STRONG, which is the best feeling ever. Love love love this location and their team.

The instructors at Club KO genuinely care about the people in their class. They will politely correct form and also provide encouragement if they see the class struggling (they never single anyone out). As you walk in, the front desk is always friendly. The instructors (once they know you) will say hi as you walk in. The classes and their content vary based on day and time. If you're reading this and timid about your first class, here's how it will go: Show up 10-15 minutes before class. Be ready to sign a waiver. If you don't have gloves they will provide them for the first class. I'd recommend having your own wraps but I've seen them give latex gloves to people to wear in their gloves. Class starts with jump rope, and then it gets into boxing. You have one 5-minute break in the middle. You will sweat, you will get fit. I would recommend Club KO to anyone interested in getting fit or learning about boxing. And in case anyone is wondering, I've never seen anyone get hit in the head or the body in a class.

This is structured as a boxing for fitness class, so you won't be expected to spar at any point, and no worries if you're nervous about coming in. The staff is incredibly friendly-- and it's not just one person; it's everyone I've interacted with so far. I've been to various gyms (CrossFit-esque, luxury/boutique, smaller/independent kickboxing). Still, I don't recall an instructor asking me on the first day of coming in about my personal goals and how they could help me attain them. They're also offering personal training if that's something that interests you. The facilities are immaculate and still in excellent condition, but they haven't been open that long. The room where classes are held is split in half: uppercut bags on one side and benches with weights on the other. Lockers are available along the wall near the entrance, and there is a water fountain if you bring a reusable water bottle. If you don't have the gear, no sweat. They've got some you can borrow, and if you decide to sign up, you can buy some gloves and quick wraps there. If you're new and unsure, I suggest you take an intro class and take advantage of the BOGO offer for first-timers. That way, you'd take three classes and choose the best plan for you.

Best gym in the area by far…read more At Your Fitness 365 you pay for access to the gym and they actually WANT you to come. This was made very clear when the manager at the gym worked around to give me a temporary access code so that I could work out 24/7 on my one-week pass even when the staff isn't around. They have very reasonable and flexible long (monthly/yearly) and short term (daily/weekly) plans which is PERFECT for someone like me who visits San Antonio for a few days every month or a few weeks at a time. I've looked for a year for a place to consistently work out when I'm in town and not ruin my workout schedule, but also not break the bank with day pass fees or be frowned upon by the management for not signing my soul over to a contract. Your Fitness 365's business model is actually based on helping the community stay in shape. IT BLEW MY MIND! A fitness center not out to get access to your checking account hoping to charge you every month even when you're not using the gym, or sometimes even when you've cancelled your contract. MIND BLOWN!!!!! But more than their business model, which I will sing praises about from today on to every person who will listen, they were so NICE. I felt WELCOME and like the staff and management were HAPPY to have a new customer, which is the complete opposite of the 5 other places I called to buy a day pass this morning. It's great to see that great customer service is still a part of some business philosophies. Your Fitness 365 has my business for years to come. I hope they never change.
