I have stayed in worse, but that is more along the lines of when you're last minute checking-in while passing through town. Then you get asked how many hours you need it for. Has what they said was offered, but the quality was like lipstick on a pig. Sure seems nice, but when you look closer, pretty cheap. But it was a place to stay in my one night in town as I left home and returned the next day. My problem was primarily... bed bugs. I had multiple bites I noticed the next day. And most unfortunately, they hopped onto something and I brought them home from my single, brief overnight. Now my wife is being bitten a week later. She gets nasty blister reactions. While this trip was pleasure, I travel for business 25% of the time, and this was the first time I've encountered this. I alerted the management, including the room number, so hopefully that take care of it. Breakfast was scant. Wish I would have taken a photo of the offering. I had an older apple and wet biscuits and gravy. Nothing like eggs, sausage, etc. Wish I would have spent $40 more. read more

Kind of a dump. When walking in the place you immediately notice the funky smell. It got worse in the elevator.... The room was no better and everything seemed to have cigarette burn marks as well. This included the bed blankets, sheets, carpet, & walls. The walls are thin too. Angry parents and kids in the next room and it sounds like they're in my room. First and last visit for me. read more

This motel needs a 0 star ratin but unfortunately Yelp is against it. Went to this hotel in August, so yes it's been a couple of months. But the memory is still fresh. Lawd Jesssuussss never again. Where do I even begin? ATMOSPHERE/VIBE: Dusty, musty stank, run down and sad. Lotta sketchy vibes here and definitely came across sketchy characters. At least the small lobby and front desk area looked decent. PARKING: To get INTO the parking lot for this place is a nightmare because of the busy road it's on. ROOM: The room was dirty. There was stains on the furniture. The fridge had rust at the bottom and was chipping. The microwave was nasty and had seen better days. I disinfected the entire room and Lysol and frebreezed it so many times. While I hope the disinfectant did something the Lysol and frebreeze did not. The room stayed smelling like old cigarettes and musty, rusty and dusty arse. The leather backboard had a large circular spot where leather was missing. While leather chairs had torn seats. ELEVATOR/STAIRS: Every day the elevator was greeting us with a brand new stank. Which sucked cause not everyone in my travel group could do the stair adventure. Which wasn't exactly better. I had expected to leave the stank that I associate with my city's subway at home when I arrived at Oregon. I was severely wrong. The elevator was also quite aggressive, had to quickly go in and out it. SENIORS and DISABLED folks BEWARE!! STAFF: One of the receptionist men was nice but the other.....he was doin some....non work things on the computer. If it was World of Warcraft or YouTube I wouldn't say a word. We got a king sized bed with a jacuzzi tub. The Inn is pretty dated. When I say dated I mean that the online photos are accurate but everything pictured that looks nice and new and clean is actually worn out, weathered and beaten. I could overlook that because the rates were low. The bed was miserable. It was hard and felt like there was some kind of bar running from top to bottom about where a person would lay in a king sized bed. I didn't actually use the jacuzzi tub because it was also worn out and knobs were missing and I just didn't have confidence that it is properly cleaned between guests. The lobby and hallways have some sort of piped in air freshener that was so strong it actually made my throat hurt. People were smoking pot in the hallways and that mingled with the air freshener for an extra disgusting and sickly sweet skunk smell. This isn't the fault of the hotel but keep in mind that the hotel is located on the corner of a busy freeway off ramp so it is noisy all night long with traffic. It is a main off ramp for diesel trucks so it's loud. There tends to be a lot of homeless and what appears to be drug addicted individuals that loiter around that corner as well. All that said I was looking for an inexpensive place to stay the night and not looking for a resort experience so if the bed would have been comfortable I would have given it a higher rating but we slept awful and woke up sore. read more

When you get a hotel between the off-ramp and a porn store, well, this is what you get. First things first - none of the reception staff wore masks the entire time we were there. At least the cleaning staff did. The irony is that they closed the free breakfast bar "as a COVID-19 precaution". If you're worried about COVID tell your reception staff to WEAR MASKS. The hotel is smelly and run-down. The beds are awful and the cheap pillows are lumpy. There were stains and cigarette burns on the furniture. Sketchy dudes just hanging out for hours smoking cigs in their cars in the hotel lot. I'm sure that's perfectly legit. "Independent retailers" often work from hotel parking lots. The noise from the freeway is intolerable as semi trucks hammer the jake brakes when they approach the light. A huge video billboard lit up our room the entire night. The bathroom fan clattered loudly when it was on. It was like we were in a movie. We were exhausted and stayed one night and bailed as soon as we could the next morning. Avoid avoid avoid. read more

Our bathroom was dirty when we checked in, our door didn't fully close (um what?) and it was just an overall meh room. You get what you pay for. Covered parking was a plus for rain. Awful!!! Dirty and old! The older tall man that checked me In was mad because he had to put his burger down and charged me more than twice what he was supposed to for the deposit. When I asked about it later in the day I was told it would be credited back to me upon checkout but of course it wasn't. The other guests here are allowed to fight in public areas and drugs are definitely an issue here as well. read more

Probably one of the better hotels we've stayed in the Portland,OR area, its ease of getting on and off of I-205, the size of the room was decent, Plus its also walking distance to several stores and restaurants The price we got through Hotels.com was very good ($71 with tax), and I would say there probably would 2 issues, and or some people a third one, the two main cons I would say, was the small size of the bathroom, and that our bedspread had a cigarette or cigar hole in it, in regards to #3, it would depend on your personal feelings, some people might think its a plus, others would think its a huge drawback, but right behind it is a adult entertainment porn place, so that would pretty much depend on your feelings towards that. I felt the service we got from check in and check out was very prompt and courteous and IMO I I would recommend this place. read more

The room was decent. The location is near the highway, gas stations, food and convenience stores. Not the best experience, but not the worst. I'm rarely in the room during vacations anyways, only in the room for sleep. The place has free breakfast, such as cereal, yogurt, muffins, etc. read more

Please listen to the rest of these reviews and go around. It's somewhat of a disaster during busy hours so just go around make the turns in and out of the other plaza. Near by a Fred Meyers - which is a pretty convenient store especially for out of towners.. they sell literally everything there. Free parking, free breakfast, free wifi. Breakfast wasn't much to look at and we didn't get a chance to try out the wifi.. They do offer a "snack of the day" which is pretty cool. First impression of the room - THEIR BEDS LOOK LIKE THEY HAVE COINS ON THEM. Do not be fooled like i was haha. Sink is located outside of the shower/toilet area - right next to the fridge. Somewhat modern - clean. Only stayed two nights during New Year's weekend. Walls are pretty thin... you can hear your neighbors at 3am doing who knows what (TEEHEE). But I'm a heavy sleeper so that didn't really matter to me. read more

My room was very noisy. Room 120 is close to the elevator and ice machine and had a lot of traffic. Very glad i had ear plugs. The road noise was loud and constant. The mattresses were not good at all. The toilet was clogged, the coffee condiment packages were opened and there was only one cup. There was also a small bit of mold growing on the bathroom wall next to the tub. This is not a three star hotel. read more

The highway noise makes opening the windows impossible, not to mention you could smell the trucks and the diesel cars. The "breakfast" is a skip. Awful. Next door there is an adult shop. Clackamas has all the essentials you need for a short stay - free breakfast (the black coffee is surprisingly not bad), free wifi, clean rooms, parking, etc. I had a pretty comfortable stay here. I think the only cons were - it's next to the road/highway so it can get kind of noisy at night. The heater can also be sort of noisy. read more

This really is a diamond in the rough. The staff helped me out when we needed to stay a long period of time and needed extra space for the kids. The morning breakfast is pretty decent, the rooms are clean, and you don't hear your neighbors in the rooms next to you. The complaints are the lack of parking, and the accessibility. The is one way in and out and it can be tricky using that driveway. Overall this place is the best value for your dollar. read more

Prime example of don't judge a book by its cover, although during my stay they appeared to be redoing the exterior so it might look a little more inviting from the out side soon. Inside is very clean and up to date, rooms are very spacious and beds very comfortable. Breakfasts where awesome, biscuits and gravy along with your usual continental servings. "Snacks" served every night as well which where awesome, mac an cheese, meat balls, chili dogs, nachos.. very convenient when working all day and don't feel like going out to dinner. My husband and stayed at the Clackamas Inn for a friend's wedding weekend, and it was a fantastic stay. The hotel staff are super friendly and the service was great. The rooms were very clean and the location of the hotel is really convenient. You can tell it's an old hotel that has been recently remodeled, and it's apparent that the hotel management is actively improving the look of the place. We loved that this place was family owned and so lovingly cared for. It was a charming little place. Some things to look out for: parking is tight, but that was fine for us because we were renting a tiny Toyota. But if you drive a big vehicle you'll probably have to squeeze in. There's an outdoor pool, and continental breakfast. Also, on a clear day you can see Mt. Hood as you drive into the hotel! We highly recommend that you stay here when you're visiting the Portland area! read more

My sister and I stayed for 7 days and 6 nights and we had a lovely time. Rooms were clean and service was good. They provided a good breakfast and provided snacks around 5pm. Of course there were things that could of been better, but I won't trip on the little things. There is also a pool. Overall, if your staying in the Clackamas/Milwaukie area then I suggest staying at the Clackamas Inn. And the express way did not interrupt our sleep. read more

We will never stay here again -- while the website for this hotel is very nice the hotel itself is NOT. You can see the stains on the bottom mattress from YEARS and YEARS of wear. The doors are noisy, the carpet is stuck in the 70's and they CHARGE FOR TV. We got stuck paying a "media fee" for just turning the TV on, plus we had to purchase the program we wanted to watch. It was dingy, run down and full of obvious cheap fixes where someone tried to fix it up. read more

Good place to stay when out of town.

Breakfast was empty of coffee and juice by 9 (breakfast is served until 10) and construction woke us up on our one morning to sleep in. Front desk even argued that "who sleeps in past 9", which is besides the point that we deserve peace and breakfast if we paid for it. Sad there aren't more hotels in this area for us to choose from when visiting our friend. read more

Such a GREAT value! The managers are fantastic and the rooms are very clean. They have recently been upgraded and are very modern. The location of the Inn is not great with the street right there, but Fred Meyer is cross the street and very convenient. This is not a Four Seasons or even a downtown Marriot-however it is better than any Days Inn or Comfort Inn. I would recommend staying here anytime. read more

You can only polish a turd up so much. Super loud room on busy intersection with one inch gap at the bottom of the door so you and your neighbors can hear everything. Burn holes in comforter, old candy wrapper on floor, and filthy carpets. Super strong cigarette odor on second floor. read more

Clean updated rooms with very knowledgable and friendly staff. Nice selection of breakfast options and evening snacks. Pool is outdoors and is not an attraction. It is also not easy to get in and out of the parking area due to traffic and street configuration. Still for the price I feel you will get more than you pay for. read more

Found Clackamas Inn purely by accident and very glad of it! Driving up from CA for an appt. the next morning, we wanted to be as close to our destination as possible. A Google search showed us the Clackamas Inn was 7 min. away. Perfect. We hoped it wouldn't be a run down, seedy place in an industrial area on the outskirts of town. It isn't! We were very pleased with the location, customer service staff, room comfort and they even had an afternoon "snack" set out for guests of chili nachos and lemonade. Breakfast the next morning included a make your own waffle station, biscuits and gravy, cereals, yogurts, pastries (individually wrapped, but not the CostCo bulk buy danish. These pastries looked bakery made and hand wrapped. The usual coffees, teas, etc. If nothing tempts you there is also Elmer's across the street, fabulous in it's own right. Only two points kept my review from being 5 star - the continual road noise and the too soft bed. Being near a busy highway the noise possibly cannot be helped, but the overly squishy pillow top mattress probably could be altered, to be more firm, which would not be a bad thing. The pool was closed when we visited. Bummer. After hours in a huge truck it would've been nice to soak in some hot water. (Or even almost hot.) There are luggage carts too. Those really saved our backs when getting our things up to and down from our 2nd story room. Very nice touch! Nearby is a shopping center, Fred Meyer and a great coffee kiosk with an early morning weekday staff who are just too perky at 7am .. but they helped get our day off to a happy start. read more

We stayed 2 nights and had a great stay for the value! We asked about travel times during our reservation and the front desk clerk had a map printed out for us when we got there! The rooms are decorated in a cute Art Deco vibe and the breakfast is better than most! Very comfy beds!! Every staff member was friendly, even the housekeepers! They were so nice to give us a late check out and said "yes" to anything we needed (within reason of course) I'm so pleased with our stay and experience. There were a couple of shady people hanging around I'm not sure if they were staying at the hotel or if they were locals? Either way the hotel is located in a great location and close to everything! I stayed here a couple weeks ago and just made another reservation because our last stay was great and price was really nice. We showed up a little late from traveling but the night front desk person was not just friendly and quick to check us but when we called later that night to get some more towels and shampoo, he brought it up to our room promptly. In terms of the room, it was great. The beds were clean and comfy which is all we wanted for the night, the room smelled nice and the decor looked pretty up to date unlike the outside (don't judge this book by its cover haha). But the breakfast was nice the next morning with good ol biscuits and gravy and juice. Lastly we were able to get gas and hop back on the freeway super easily. Glad were gonna be stayin here for our trips up north. read more

This was the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel. Smelled like an ash tray. My room looked like dirty Mike and the boys went through there. Broken glass on the floor that my middle child cut her foot on. A lighter on the floor, under the counter and just flat out disgusting! Everywhere else was booked and I felt super uncomfortable and worried that my kids were going to get sick or hurt. Only one lady running the whole hotel and left us a vacuum to clean the room ourselves. I do not recommend this place to anyone who has children or need a clean place to stay. read more

I forget why we decided to stay here after some of the reviews but was really looking for something reasonably-priced. Got to the room and was really impressed. Newer counter tops, newer bed spread and flat screen. Room smelled great and was very clean so much so that we came back through from seattle and stayed again and its approximately 3 miles from a very large mall, the Clackamas town center with lots of shopping and dining. Yes there was a porn shop next door but it has separate entrances so it was all good. We will be staying here again! read more

We have stayed here multiple times . I am newer to Yelp but find the reviews helpful so have decided to be a Yelper ! This place has constant upgrades n changes each time we come . The rooms are remodeled w COMFY beds !!! The prices are excellent and it is my opinion they are right up there w Marriott and Hilton . Clean , great rooms, and did I mention the free breakfast that offers hot and cold items!!! It's close to the mall and medical . The staff is very accommodating and helpful ! I have dealt w the manager and night manager n feel safe and well taken care of . The only downfall is not their fault .. There us a large stupid adult sign for a store which we couldn't even see or sense existed . I feel sorry this great place has to deal w it ! Absolutely not clean! Can't fault the less than desirable noisy location. The hall reaked of cigarettes. Started in room 116. There was a crusty reddish stain on carpet. The walls were gross. The toilet seat was hanging off the toilet. There were brown marks on bathroom walls. There was short dark curly hair on the bathroom door. We were moved to room 114. Similiar issues. The walls were gross. The chair had spill stains. There was dried toothpaste on the bathroom light switch. The toilet tank wobbled and leaked. The bathroom floor hadn't been swept or mopped . There was dried pink shampoo or soap globs on the shower wall. This could have been a much nicer stay had the cleaning and management staff cared about their work. If we hadn't have been on the road for so long with two tired kids, we would have not stayed here. I will say the front desk staff were nice and very professional. read more

I found this place online and it was a few dollars more than the cheapest places and all I needed was a place to crash while in Clackamas doing some work. If I had known how bad this place was I would have slept in my car. The hallways stink, beds are super uncomfortable, clearly something living in the walls, very loud road noise, and the included breakfast took the cake because it included moldy bagels. I am very sensitive to insect bites. My wife is not. The first night I was bitten twice. I wasn't sure if I had been bitten by mosquitos while walking the short distance from where we had dinner or whether it occurred after I got into bed. The next night I was bitten 5 times on my arms, trunk and legs while sleeping. I think it was fleas, but it could have been flying insects. The person who had cleaned the room left the window open and there was a break between the mosquito screen and the frame which easily could have let in flying insects. From the distribution of my bites, however, I believe that fleas were much more likely. I spoke to one of the help who said that they had instituted a 'no pet' policy in March 2014. My wife and I won't book this place again! read more

This is a very decent motel at a very reasonable price. But there's something missing. The TV offerings omit PBS. The rest of the TV they offer isn't worth watching. We've noticed the absence of PBS in many motels in which we've stayed, primarily in the south east. We didn't expect PBS to be censored in Oregon. Is this some kind of conspiracy to dumb down America? We respond with the loss of a star. Otherwise I would give it five stars. read more
