I've had root canals done before so I was not looking forward to having one done. Dr Tink explained the process prior to the procedure and she even told me what she was doing as she was performing the root canal. There was little discomfort and later that evening, I did not have to take any pain medication. She cleaned out 5 canals in one tooth and she (along with her dental assistant) performed the procedure flawlessly with the most modern tools and equipment that I have ever seen. My dentist referred me to Dr. Lichstrahl's office. I called and made my appointment with ease. The day of my appointment I walked in and was greeted and given all the paperwork to sign. I was called to see the doctor. Dr. Lichstrahl's explained everything and he recommended I come back to take care of the root canal that was done in a couple of week. He gave me a script for antibiotics. I got a call a few days before to confirm. The day of, everything went smoothly. I have to say I hardly felt a thing. He has what my grandmother calls "Saint Hands." He did the anesthesia and I didn't feel a sting or anything. He explained what he was doing and asked how I was doing during the entire procedure. At times, I felt so calm, I almost fell asleep. This is a very professional office. They do a great job scheduling patients and communicating with them. Dr. Lichstrahl is fantastic.

It takes a bit longer since the dental students get everything checked over by the instructors. Every time I call, I can never get someone who speaks ENGLISH!" I thought it extremely inappropriate for her to make those statements to a patient, and worse, that's how she feels. I followed up again a couple of weeks later. Her first question was, "Why haven't I heard from your insurance?" Did you follow up with them? Did you re-submit like I asked you to please? "It's YOUR insurance!" she yelled back. "You have to follow up with them!" I'm in the insurance business and have NEVER had a provider tell me I have to follow up on their work. They really care about you and your mouth. Even when the dentist comes in, it's not a quick visit. You're with him for another 10-15 minutes going over anything they find troubling. The coolest thing though? They have tv's on the ceiling. What a better place to have a tv, right? While they are digging in your mouth you can watch Judge Judy.
