The customer service was great, they were friendly and very pleasant. The food is always amazing. Gotta come back for breakfast some day!

Such a awesome fine! The ox tails were so good we came back for seconds the following day! They were so nice and clean! Everything was seasoned great, looked great and brought out extra fast! My sister in law loved the pineapple flavor soda also.

    Jerk chicken. Yuck
    Lily T.

Disappointing. I'm a big fan of Jamaican food and the food here was just not good. Had the jerk chicken and it was awful. Chicken was not fresh and had a bad chicken taste and there was this bad sweet and spicy sauce over it that was disgusting. Usually rice is very good at any Jamaican restaurant but even the rice was not good here. It didn't have enough of the flavorful jerk chicken sauce that it should have to go over the rice. I also tried the ox tail. That was better than the chicken but it didn't again have enough sauce over the rice and it was overcooked and dried. Overall disappointing.

Over priced food. The young man working did the best he could at explaining the prices. He just works there.

Food was bland and the cashier had the attitude of someone who was being forced to work.

The food wasn't great and the ox tails were horrible. I will never try this again because you have only one time to satisfy my appetite.

Found a little Venezuelan gem hiding in an unexpected corner of downtown Myrtle Beach…read more Bachata Restaurant is on Seaboard Street, tucked into the more industrial side of town between 10th Avenue and 501, and between Highway 17 Bypass and Robert Grissom Parkway. It's outside the usual Myrtle Beach restaurant and tourist zones, which is honestly part of what makes finding it fun. The restaurant recently changed ownership and is now serving Venezuelan and other Latin food during the day, with a nightclub in the back at night. The dining room is small and intimate -- maybe five or six tables -- so I can imagine it filling up quickly. There were a few people eating when I stopped in, but I had plenty of room. I went specifically hunting for fried pork belly, and they had exactly what I wanted: chicharrón. And they absolutely did NOT skimp on it. I got a big box of thick, crispy fried pork belly along with tostones -- green plantains smashed flat and fried until crisp. For the price, I was honestly surprised by how much food I got. They also gave me fresh pico de gallo that tasted like it had been made right there in the kitchen, along with house-made guasacaca, the traditional Venezuelan green sauce. Between the crispy pork belly, tostones, fresh pico and that guasacaca, this was seriously good eating. There was also a hot case in the dining room filled with Venezuelan grab-and-go snacks and pastries, including stuffed fried pastries with meat and cheese. Those definitely caught my attention for the next visit. There was a small language barrier when I ordered, but Google Translate took care of that in about 30 seconds. Everyone was pleasant, we figured out exactly what I wanted, and I left very happy. While I waited, I looked over the menu, and there are a LOT of things I'm going to have to go back and try -- especially the empanadas and some of the traditional Venezuelan dishes. If you like discovering small, locally owned restaurants that aren't sitting on Restaurant Row or surrounded by tourist attractions, Bachata is absolutely worth checking out. It has that great little hidden-neighborhood-restaurant feeling, despite being right in the middle of Myrtle Beach. Sometimes the best food is hiding in the places you'd normally drive right past. Bachata Restaurant 811 Seaboard Street Myrtle Beach, SC And if you're specifically hunting for a big box of crispy chicharrón, tostones and homemade Venezuelan sauces in Myrtle Beach -- I found it.

The Service was outstanding, Ny was very pleasant and helpful for our party of 9. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. They have a full bar with plenty of bar seating in addition to the table seating throughout the restaurant. I ordered and thoroughly enjoyed an Arepa, an Empanada and a side odder of Scrambled rice with black beans. The name "La Vinotinto" is inspired by the Venezuelan national soccer team, whose official uniform is famously known as "La Vinotinto" (The Burgundy). There is plenty of parking in a shared shopping center lot.

We came here while on vacation with my parents (they're older but honestly party harder than I do…read more). From the second we walked in, we felt the vibe -- super clean, beautifully decorated, and full of that energy that tells you "yeah, this place is gonna hit." The food? Legit authentic. Not that watered-down tourist stuff. Everything had real flavor -- like someone's abuela was back there blessing each plate. My mom said the seasoning reminded her of her aunt's cooking back in Puerto Rico -- and that's saying something, because her aunt doesn't play. Drinks were next level. I ordered a margarita and they brought me what looked like a whole bucket of joy. I literally said out loud "¡Papi, bring me another!" Vacation mode was fully activated. The staff? Super friendly, super cool. Spoke Spanish with us, cracked jokes, made us feel at home like we were regulars even though it was our first time. Beautiful spot, authentic food, great people, and good vibes all around. My parents are already talking about coming back next weekend -- and we live 4 hours away.
