I want to thank Cypress Assisted Living for taking such good care of my father…read more I brought my father to Cypress Assisted Living in early December 2025. Due to a fall, he had deteriorated over the previous six months. He could no longer walk, he lost 40lbs, and he suffered from delirium. When he arrived, we had to put him on hospice care. Within a few days of being in Cypress Assisted Living, he began to improve. It's now been four months since he arrived. He's gained back 20lbs. He hasn't had any delirium since his first few days there and he's "graduated" from hospice. He begins physical therapy this week to get him walking again. So how did this happen? It's very simple. Nellie (owner) has put together a staff that truly cares about the residents. They get dad up in the morning, get him breakfast and let him settle in his day. They have some activities, along with two big screen TVs in the common area. There are electric reclining chairs to accommodate every resident. The pictures you see on their website are 100% accurate. I visit at least once a week and EVERY time I visit him the place looks as beautiful as it does online. It's incredibly clean and has no bad odors. If you don't like what's for breakfast, they'll work with you to get something else. They are there to make the residents comfortable and happy. The owner (Nellie) is a nurse who understands how to treat seniors. Her people work 12-hour shifts. The resident only has to deal with one shift while they're awake, so it limits confusion for them. She keeps the place spotless. I was there and saw her moving the recliners to check that they were swept and mopped underneath. I'm not exaggerating when I say Cypress Assisted Living saved my father's life. During the first few weeks he would ask me, "Where do I go after I leave here?" Now he says he loves it here and doesn't want to leave. I can't wait to get him walking again, as it will make him so happy. Thank you to Nellie and her team for all they've done for our family.

I recently had a family needing to find a place for their mother, they trusted my suggestion to move her to Cypress Assisted Living and I've since received several messages from the family sharing how happy their mother is in her new home! "Chanel Mother seems to really like her new home! Thank you! And she really likes her nurse Sandy!" We absolutely recommended CAL for those looking for a more intimate assisted living community for their loved ones.

During the tour and throughout the move-in process, I was provided with information about Solana and Brookdale that proved to be very helpful. Everyone from the director to the receptionist to the medical staff to the caregiving staff were all friendly and available to assist any time. I especially appreciated the Caregiver Support Group and the director of the Clare Bridge memory care unit explaining various aspects of dealing with dementia. The lovely surroundings, outdoor patio, activities, outings, live entertainment, and caring staff provided a wonderful quality of life for my husband. Unfortunately, he eventually needed a level of care they do not provide and we had to find another facility. Once again, the staff at Solana were helpful and quick to respond when I had questions about our move. I want to thank all of them for all they have done for my husband and me.

These places are expensive. But they are providing 24 hour care to your loved one. This is second place we have had our loved one in. The first one was not good but Avanti is 100% different. The staff are so friendly and caring to us and to their residents. They treat them just like they are their own loved one. They do actives with them to help keep their brain functioning sharp. The medical "professional" prescribing the over medication was not following the oncologist's medication and she told me 5 times the wrong chemotherapy drug my mother was on. Since my moms passing they owe my mothers estate in excess of $3000. They acknowledge it but have been claiming the Che k would be mailed for the last 90 days while refusing to provide any information for follow up. It's clearly " the checks in the mail" nonsense to keep an elderly person money. I can only imagine how many elderly residence have been over medicated and fleeced by this company. It looks like I'm going to contact our family attorney.

My dad seems very happy and content there. He has made friends and enjoys the animals they have onsite. They may not have all the super fancy decor as other places have but I have learned not to judge a book by its cover. Cypresswood is fully staffed and trained to deal with memory care residents which makes a world of difference when choosing a facility.

However her one complaint is that the food is not good. The food is almost a daily complaint. She often complains that it is cold and generally a disappointment. She keeps food in her room or goes out with family to avoid their food. This facility could easily have 5 stars if they improved the quality of the food.

All of our residents love us just as much as we love them! We all have so much fun and we teach each other different things everyday! I love working in such a cozy and loving environment, with onsite doctors and Nurse practitioners that really love and care for the residents just as much as we do that help me put resident & family safety, care, and concerns first! I love that I am able to not only able to care for our residents health, but emotionally, and physically as well. My Resident Assitants and Medication Technicians work hard at learning what to do to promote great quality of life and I'm always researching, learning and reteaching my staff as well. The staff have been in place for several years which let's us know that they enjoy what they do. We love joining mom for activities. The January Family night was especially fun as we celebrated Italy and it's culture. The food was delicious and a good time was had by all. Severely understaffed nursing to patient ratio. The place is dirty and a/c doesn't work. A few of…read morethe nurses were great and majority of CNAs were wonderful however again severely understaffed. The therapy team were kind except the head guy. He was flippant and ignored the fact my loved one needed speech therapy for swallowing even though we chose this location for this specific need. No one ever did speech therapy the 23 days my loved one was there which made his swallow issues worsen and lose weight due to lack of eating. The head of nursing was rude and ignored concerns. My loved one failed swallow testing and still she was covering for the nurse one day and brought my loved one pills to swallow and one got stuck and after that he refused to eat or drink even though we had started to make progress. My loved one ended up with a pretty severe uti due to lack of changing him and I had to push for testing to prove this was going on. They were dehydrating him significantly with 3 different types of stool softeners. We had to request Iv hydration due to how dehydrated he was. My loved one ended up with bruises on his toes from pushing against the bed as they are horrible cheap beds that aren't long enough for taller residents. If you are considering this facility go on the weekends. The place reeks of urine and fecal matter because the one wonderful cleaner they have doesn't work weekends. Also, request a camera in the room so you can verify care for your loved one no matter what facility you choose. My loved one was never taken out of his room to socialize or take to the lunch room. He was left in his room alone. Getting older is hard. Our loved ones deserve respect, nurturing and healing. Do better.
