Rich in varied details of differing facets of their services, they reflected Jack's keen listening/reading sensitivities and laser responses. His precision is sniper accurate. I had been in crisis mode with my messy apartment for far too long and no time to clean it. I dreaded hiring anyone. After spending seven hours one recent Sunday cutting up cardboard boxes alone, I drew the line. I needed help. Hiring Best Maids was one of the best decisions of my life. Period. First, Jack the owner is true as water on a placid morning's pond. Whatever concern or variable or worry you throw his way in negotiations, they're reduced to brief ripples as he adjusts terms, massages in solutions and then returns to his essence like a mirrored pond returns to its placid clarity after a pebble shatters it briefly: he is as honest, centered and focused as an arrow. A jaw droppingly true fellow in a notorious hustler trade. Both our trades are. Not in thirty odd years have I had such a sterling experience negotiating. He even dispatched a third person on Day 1 - not to jack up the price but to ensure it got done in two days. So when I asked afterwards whether he needed to adjust the price out of fairness to him (being that we agreed on only two people), he demurred - he added the third person of a trio family to ensure the job got done. Not one red cent more. And now for Anthony, Vivian and their youthful daughter Emily. My heart ached for their present hard working profession but it soared as I spent time lending a hand where I could. Open hearted souls who put in buckets of sweat equity. I could deluge you with the many, many positive details of their work and results but for me the brief tears of Vivian just before leaving said it all. She - as did we all - realized something special happened here over these two grueling days: they changed this stranger's life for the better. Amongst the torrent of incredible observations: as the ending of each day approached, they all kicked it into a HIGHER GEAR - not to catch up but to drive home perfection. Pride in their work.They went beyond and voluntarily. Jack and I are honest - I wasn't comfortable with their doing more than we'd agreed to - except when Anthony figured out why I was routinely tumbling out of bed due to a cracked bed-frame. He found a quick way to remedy it and that gave me my first great night's sleep I have had in eons. Effervescent Emily, in her mid-Twenties, took a number of colored pottery pots and put various plants I had that were in plastic original containers into the new pots and even put a moon valley pilea in a terracotta pot shaped like a wood nymph's face that I had buried somewhere. Art in everyday life. Quite Gaga - she was a fan. Many examples revealed themselves after they left leaving artistic flourishes. And Vivian cleaned my bathroom with savage grace and persistent diligence! She was stunned. We all were ! Nonstop excellence. I'll never forget these two days of wonder in brutal February! Best Maids? Better title: Bettering Cleaners for surely they bettered my life and so many others.

What should have been a simple two bedroom condo move took two round trips and 12 exhausting and stressful hours. The cost went from the estimated $2,000 to $3,000. I depended on Alex to know that in order to ensure a smooth move in a timely manner at the price he quoted, he needed to send a larger truck and more men. The three men arrived on time, were hardworking and careful with my belongings. However, during the last few hours, we were all exhausted. In a desperate effort to finish, I had to bring things in myself, and was unable to supervise. This resulted in the second load of boxes in complete disarray and many on the wrong floor of the house. A month later I am still unable to locate important items. When we called Main Street Movers to discuss it, Alex blamed the incompetence of sending too few men and a wrong size truck on their operations department. He denied low balling the estimate. The owners, Karen Mantzouranis and Tom Mantzouranis, refused to get on the phone at all or take any responsibility for our horrendous move. Please be forewarned and do not use Main Street movers.

My mother was a designer hoarder, I live on the other side of the country, and there were many moving parts. Andrea responded immediately to my call, came the next day, listened carefully to my long list of needs and wants. and offered me her expert perspective. The conversation was honest, respectful, and I hired her on the spot. Hiring Andrea and her team was the best decision I made. Given the huge amount to be done and the short timeframe, I expected some snafus and asked that we discuss them to keep our communication open. Andrea took me at my word when I said I wanted that to happen...and by doing so, she kept the trust and faith I had in her and her judgment at a 10 (on the proverbial 1-10 scale). My real estate agent loved working with her, other vendors loved working with her. I can only imagine the amount of business these sources will bring to her as we competed with each other to find superlatives for Andrea...AND...the icing on the cake, my apartment sold above asking no doubt because of Andrea's prowess in creating the space.

What aggravated us were the excuses as to why some of the work was not done properly. Due to that, we have decided to write a review and share our experience. We made a mistake even giving $100 tip. 1. We had to finish their work in the end of the day. The bathroom on our first floor was not cleaned properly. Ivan was in charge of it. The bathroom on our second floor was cleaned by a lady (we do not know her name) who did a better job. There were other clients online that had a same issue with the service provided by Ivan. 2. They are not equipped to clean a garage, yet they accepted it. Of course, then, we had the expectation that they would do a good job. Since it's been accepted, they might as well do it right. Again, Ivan was the one working on the garage. The equipment were not too difficult to clean. Ivan left the shelves and our equipment so dusty, especially the floors (and manager's comment is that they do not clean unfinished floors). Then again, why accepted it if he would not clean the floor. Please see the photos. 3. They arrived late, which support the other negative reviews online. The agreement was 11am. They arrived after 12pm. We had plans that we had to delay. We were notified at 10:29am, only half an hour before the agreed arrival. However, this is not a huge deal to us. But just want to give everyone a heads up that there is a large chance you need to wait. 4. Ivan's "walkthrough" was rushed. We understood that it was late in the afternoon, but the time of the day should not affect the service. I pointed out to him the bathroom on 1st floor, but we felt it was ignored. He was on a rush. Also, it could be a language barrier since he had a difficult time communicating in English. We pointed out the shelves with dusts (please see the photos), and same reaction of not wanting to do it. 5. The manager offered that they would return and clean the untouched areas. It's late in the afternoon, and we had to leave the house. I do not think it is fair to us to wait again. In addition to that, it is not acceptable to send the same staff (Ivan) who did not do a good job. If she offered to send the lady who did a better job, we would have considered. But she kept insisting to send Ivan back, along with the other lady - even we emphasized that we do not want him to return. Please see the photos. I would not recommend their service. We thought we would have a great first impression, however we did not. We are trying to find a good cleaning company since we are new in the area and just recently moved from a different county. Also most especially, we need a consistent one because we are buying another house. We wanted a professional service. Unfortunately, we are disappointed. Update and response to the manager: 1. It is NOT true we are satisfied. Clearly based on our review, we are extremely disappointed. 2. There are no "agreements" discussed prior to the cleaning. They left our curtains, window boarders, mirror behind the bathroom door, master's bedroom side table, toilet bowl of 1st floor bathroom, shelves and multiple areas untouched. 3. There are three residents in the house who witnessed the poor service. Therefore, they have the right to submit their reviews, regardless of the number of point of contacts. 4. Regarding the manager's comment about responding to her prior writing the reviews - we have had multiple conversations via text. Yet, the manager is not listening to our feedback and preference. As mentioned, she kept insisting to send the staff who did a poor job. She should send a different one. She did not grant our request.

The pictures listed the required cleaning, especially the *chandeliers* - (See the attached DROPBOX link that was provided to Rosie's before she accepted the project). So, I understood when Rosie's raised the hourly rate from $165 to $200 after their review of the work. Only two of the three expected Rosie's employees arrived. I showed the staff the house because their office had not described the anticipated work. They seemed put off and said they had to call the office. Within twenty minutes, the office called me and told me they could not clean the chandeliers. Cleaning the chandeliers was a required item agreed to before the scheduled cleaning. if Rosie's couldn't provide this type of cleaning, that was understandable, but I required a company to clean the chandeliers. When I explained the pre-condition of the job, Rosie's agreed they would be able to clean the chandeliers. I explained the work required in detail and provided pictures to Rosie's before them accepting the job. WHY AGREE TO CLEAN THE CHANDELIERS IF YOUR COMPANY IS NOT EQUIPPED TO PERFORM THE TASK? Funnily enough, it was similar to the décor we had enjoyed all our lives. We gave Natalya two things: a blank canvas to work with and our trust in her vision. The living room /dining room combination comprised the largest space on the first floor. Long and narrow, it felt a bit like a bowling alley. Natalya suggested painting as a first step and advised that an up-to-date neutral Benjamin Moore color AF-95 ("hush") would set the tone. To bring the space together, she selected Benjamin Moore AF-240 ("satchel") as a contrasting color which, when applied to the two end walls, took the space from bowling alley to warm and connected. After the painting was finished, Natalya set out to create and define the two separate living spaces, all the while maintaining a beautiful flow. There were already installed overhead lighting placed strategically to highlight the previous owners' artwork. Our budget was small and we couldn't take on the cost of changing the existing lighting. So, working with what existed, Natalya planned a setting where I could showcase my family art and silver and the existing lighting shone perfectly. My family and I wanted to completely different look in our new townhouse - contemporary, sophisticated and clean. Natalya knew where to shop - online! She recommended sites and offered multiple selections for my consideration. For the living room, truly our family room, we selected her first choice - a beautiful set of living room furniture, two leather club chairs and a sofa in a soft ivory color. To complement those pieces, she found contrasting dark wood tables which, not only finished the look, but provided a lot of storage and more space for showcasing art. Next, we needed an area rug to tie the furniture together. Voila, Natalya and I found on-line a contemporary piece of neutral tones with a whimsical flair. Exactly what I wanted! Next, Natalya recommended shelves and ledges, all found easily and reasonably priced at IKEA. She measured the space using exactly what I wanted to display (no easy task) and installed it perfectly. I consulted her on many other smaller details and Natalya always steered me in the right direction. She stayed within our budget and introduced me to a world of creative ideas and resources I never knew existed. What's more, we had a lot of fun working together.
