My child received death threats from other students and has attempted to push off other students, and yet gets punishment. My child doesn't feel they are able to speak up, and feels discriminated. "Mommy, why am I the only one getting in trouble?". A child should not feel this way at a place of learning and what is deemed as "safe". I am not the only parent who feels this way as I have asked others about their impression of Tony Alamo. My child did not dislike attending school until we ended up with this one UNFORTUNATELY. It was slightly frustrating, but once in, it's a wonderful place. Teachers are incredible and kind, communicative and supportive. I've decided that the idea of a successful education is all about the cooperation and coordination and commitment of parents and teachers. Communication is key and knowing the difference between academia and childcare is key. Doral is not the latter. It requires input and involvement. When this is done well, I feel like the kids win. Administration is bomb. Teachers are first-rate. The facilities are great, despite its smaller footprint. Love this school.

It…read morewas a VERY difficult time, but I was very lucky to have Mrs. Cataneso (we called her Mrs. Cat) She spent her own lunch breaks teaching me English from the very beginning, literally starting with the ABCs, she made a huge difference in my life, and I will always be grateful to her! But experience with her doesn't reflect the whole school. I also faced bullying, because I didn't speak English, I couldn't express myself or ask for help.
