Teachers are amazing here. Traffic has been a nightmare for years now but it's very much worth it

Getting into any Doral school is extremely difficult if your child is not going into Kindergarten. After two years, we got sibling priority and got our older child in. It was slightly frustrating, but once in, it's a wonderful place. Teachers are incredible and kind, communicative and supportive. I've decided that the idea of a successful education is all about the cooperation and coordination and commitment of parents and teachers. Communication is key and knowing the difference between academia and childcare is key. Doral is not the latter. It requires input and involvement. When this is done well, I feel like the kids win. Administration is bomb. Teachers are first-rate. The facilities are great, despite its smaller footprint. Love this school. read more

My daughter is in kindergarten and loves her teacher and class. They organize fun events for the students and constantly connects with parents about their progress in class. The car loop is very organized and makes it so easy to pick up and drop off. There are multiple apps you must have to track all the homework, activities and schedules so be prepared. read more

This private School is an utter joke. For 5 years I applied to have both of my kids come here and for the 5 years of trying, they are constantly not selected. I contacted the School over the 5 year period to see if I did something wrong on the applications over time and I was told no and that we just weren't picked. Recently I called called again during the month of May and once more told nothing wrong with the app.... So when I called back I was told by the rep that the Department in charge would reach out to me.... Nope never did. So I instead came to the School in person and while waiting there were 3 other parents in front of me and needless to say all 3 were there for the same reason... What are the odds! The female rep asked how she could help and I told her that the, so called Department in charge of this bs lottery never reached out to me or to even look at the apps I put in. She said "well the person in charge is not here at the moment and you need to leave a voicemail" LOL again I told her as no one called me back. Yeah this is not a School, just a lost cause and no respect to look into the issue.Honestly I would never re-apply here again as they are a waste of time, liars, and have zero integrity to even bother to reach out to me. read more

I was excited to enroll my son into Doral. We have always been part of CCSD, and was excited about the smaller class sizes. At first, things were great. The faculty seemed liked they cared and were helpful in getting my son situated with his 504. However, soon after I would receive call after call from them over rediculous claims. They said they didn't want him to walk to school anymore because he was walking home reckless and wanted me to drop my son off and pick him up everyday. -- sorry, we both work and we live .4 miles away from the school. Next, they told me they didn't want him to ride his electric bike to school anymore. Ok, I obliged. Back to walking. Next they claim he was video taping in the bathroom (with no proof- just he said she said) and suspend him. They want me to do a conference with them on any day but my day off. I work in health care. It is not easy to miss work or just leave patients unattended. At the very least, you would think they could squeeze me in SOMEWHERE, in my son's best interest. They can't squeeze me in anywhere.. or before or after my work shift. They said their next availability is TWO WEEKS from the current date. So my son was to stay home from school for 2 weeks .. because they can't accommodate me or my son any other time. Seems like they really care about his education. This school was the biggest mistake. If you child has any learning disabilities or ADHD, like my son, this IS NOT the school for you. Don't waste your time or your child's. They won't help you. They just keep them "in trouble" over petty things until you finally withdraw your child. Sincerely disappointed. Anyone want to buy our uniforms? If not, they will be turned into rags to clean our dog kennels. read more

My kids just got excepted after being on the waiting list. They've only been going for less than a month and they absolutely love it! From the playground to the daily activities they offer my kids are so cute excited to finally experience everything they have to offer. My kids say it's so much better than a public school. read more

Good school if you are living around the area. I love the drive through pick up and drop off my niece is a student here she is 8 but she is excellent in Math and reading. I am not saying it's 100% school by itself but they encourage their students to read books and get them interested by reading the books in their class. read more

I really like the school. My kids enjoy it, and I do as well. I feel the teachers get back to me quick if I have questions. Friendly staff and fun activity. I like that they go on field trips at least 3x a year. My kids went to a ccsd school before here and never went on any trips and never even met the principal. Pretty good school read more

The most pathetic excuse for a school with uniforms. Tries to be like a private and they certainly have attitudes as if there was a tuition but they completely miss the mark academically. They have inconsistent communication whether that be school to parent or teacher to parent. Nothing is clear and concise. It's all left open to interpretation. The car pick up is a safety hazard as they want your child to go through the lot and down the street with no seatbelt on so they can get you out faster. Good luck if you have a five point harness still because you will need to drive out and around the corner and get out to belt your child in. They ask for donations literally every day and hound you in the car pick up, with flyers, signs, etc. it's very aggressive and if you can't afford to send your child down to whatever event is going on your child will have to stay back in class while others go and shop. Let's make these children feel even worse by isolating them even more! Excellent idea! Kindergarten was laughable with a teacher who only requested Christmas themed items for their Amazon wishlist. Once again excluding children who do not celebrate the holiday basically excluding families that have any other belief or religious background. The rule of thumb for inclusion in schools and programs is typically to celebrate "winter" so that everyone can enjoy and be included rather than making it a religious celebration. The list was Santa this, Santa that, reindeer items, etc. absolutely clear where they stand on things. The questionable donation requests didn't stop there! A request for a farting reindeer book for kindergarten! How educational and what an important part of kindergarten curriculum!! The fact that the teacher was allowed to request those items from parents and the school never said a word or informed the teacher of how it would come across says a lot about the school. Speaking of inclusion.... How is it that every single child that did not fit inside the perfect little box disappeared from class? Children that needed extra assistance, children on medication, and/or needed further testing were simply dropping like flies from these classes....Nobody realizes how that looks? That because of a lack of experience and a complete inability to assert themselves led to children being transferred or being forced out. Other parents mentioned the incessant emails of behavior issues when in reality we know you have to command respect and at some point you have to just do your job. We aren't there and we can't be there. Kids are there to learn how to behave, learn how to share, learn how to take direction from another authoritative figure. Other parents mentioning the move or transfers were because they couldn't handle the emails from a specific teacher who simply could not handle her job. Sending children down to counselors, aides, and/or principal offices on the regular because you are overwhelmed is not a child problem it is a staff problem. Children whose first experience with a structured school setting were treated as an inconvenience and you can forget about any child that needed any extra attention or assistance. The message was astoundingly clear any child that was neurodivergent in any capacity was an outsider and would be treated as such. Zero compassion and even less patience/understanding. Being told that our child would need proof for an IEP otherwise we would not be eligible for any accommodations is in fact false! A teacher and a counselor both said an IEP would be needed because then they would be mandated to make accommodations but in order for that to happen they wanted proof that it was needed. It is his RIGHT to have one. The bullying within the classroom was never formally documented or reported up the chain of command. The lack of options for accommodations for children who don't fit neatly into this perfect box is appalling and pathetic. Teachers admitting they know students are bored in class but recommend the student just sit tight and behave perfectly despite lacking stimulation!! Admitting they are throwing books and coloring at students to keep them quiet and busy because they have no intention of finding more engaging things for the child to learn. If your child needs to be challenged in any way do not bother accepting that lottery spot! A set of extended staff who claim to be there for kids but when asked for assistance they simply say "well what do you expect us to do?" This school is parading around as a uniform-wearing wannabe private school but in reality it's a judgmental non-inclusive unprofessional sorry excuse that is way worse than any public school. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. read more

This school needs a lot of improvement. I would've given this school 0 stars if I could. I pulled a prank on a student and me and my friends got in trouble. The prank was harmless, believe me. We didn't know this person hated jokes and said we bullied her. We had to speak to the vice principal and she immediately took the other kids side. She told us we were bullying this student without explanation. Horrible school, teachers here aren't even that good. Can't wait till I leave this dump. read more

This school has great educational programs and really gives your child the one on one they need, however, the Bitches in the office need to ton it down a notch with their better then you attitude. They forget that the parents that pay for their child/children to attend this school is where their wages come from, a lot of parents have wanted to remove their children from here just because of them. Please retrain them and instill kindness empathy respect and understanding. They need to act as mature professionals as the title they hold would warrant. read more

This was the worst school I have ever attended and would not recommend at all. I was very very depressed during my time at this school due to the lack of diversity and feeling unaccepted by not only my peers but the staff as well. The staff and principle only catered to students whom they liked or had a relationship with while the rest of us were on the side lines. This staff needs to do better because my time here was overall extremely mentally draining and completely horrible. Do better. read more

Greatest School and Staff ever! My children have been attending here for about 3 year now and they couldn't be happier! They actually LOVE going to school every day. Teachers truly care about each and every student and do everything within there power to help them succeed. Love being a Dragon !! read more
