Five stars isn't enough.. I cannot say enough good things…read moreabout the staff at this school. How dare I call them staff; They are so much more than school staff. They have become a second family. Mrs Jen and all the teachers have gone above and beyond my wildest dreams of a first school for my child. Mrs Corie has been incredible and from day one my daughter gravitated towards her. We have had Mrs Summer and Mrs Maria for two years now and they couldn't be better. They have been much more than teachers to us. We have gone thru some difficult times and their exact words to me I'll never forget were "we are your family now ".. This isn't just my daughter's school, this is a part of her young life that has helped mold her into a confident, bright and happy child. It's a school full of warmth and so much love. Sending my daughter to Coronado Prep Preschool was the best decision I could've made in not only her education, but in return we gained another family.. They are all INCREDIBLE.

It's hard to put into words how much this school has meant to our family over the past few years…read more My daughter started here in 2023 when she was 2 years old, and as we prepare for kindergarten, I truly can't imagine a better place for her to have spent these important years. We don't call it daycare in our house--we call it school--because that's exactly what it is. The teachers don't just focus on academics. They also teach kindness, emotional regulation, confidence, independence, and problem-solving. Every day, my daughter came home having learned something new, and as she gets ready for kindergarten, I can confidently say she is more than prepared. Her growth is a direct reflection of the love, patience, and dedication of every teacher she's had. One of the greatest gifts this school has given us is a true sense of community. The kids all know one another, they know each other's families, and the parents have built friendships and a support system that extends well beyond the classroom. It truly feels like a village raising our children together, and that's something incredibly special. What's funny is that when I first toured the school in 2022 while looking for childcare for my daughter as a baby, I almost didn't choose it. I thought the infant classroom was too small and assumed a bigger facility would be better. We ended up enrolling somewhere else first. Looking back, I couldn't have been more wrong. After experiencing a much larger childcare center, we realized that bigger didn't mean better. There was less individualized attention, more accidents, and less oversight. Now I completely understand why those classrooms are designed the way they are. The smaller environment allows the teachers to truly know each child and provide the attention and care they deserve. I'm so thankful we eventually found our way back here. As we close this chapter, it's incredibly bittersweet. Thank you to every teacher and staff member who has loved, encouraged, and believed in my daughter. You've helped shape her into a kind, confident, curious little girl, and our family will always be grateful for everything you've done.

Ms. Tina is serious about running an amazing and safe school. No matter what the issue may be, we as parents are all informed as soon as she is. Ms. Jessica is her current teacher and I believe she has amazing patience and has taught my daughter so much. She is kind and works with each and every one of her kids to make sure they are happy and learning. I am always so grateful for morning drop offs (my little one doesn't always make it easy when i need to go) and when we get home, she shows me all that she has learned for that day. The other teacher I want to mention is Ms. Becca- she's pretty much my rock haha. She was one of the teachers that has been around my daughter the longest (or so it seems to me). She is able to match the tone of whatever mood mine is in and able to work with her. If she's having a bad day, Ms. Becca seems to always turn it around. I will miss this school once we move on to "big kid school" and will always have respect for these teachers that have helped my daughter grow and learn.

From our very first tour with Ms. Brenda, we knew this school checked all the boxes we were looking for. She was reading words at just 3 years old, and the nurturing, structured environment helped her grow in so many ways. Any concerns we had during preschool were addressed promptly, and we always felt confident she was in great hands. However, our experience changed significantly once she transitioned into kindergarten. While the curriculum remains strong and academically focused, the environment felt much more rigid and less joyful. It is very one size fits all. We absolutely value education, but we also want our child to enjoy being a kid--through fun, creativity, and play. Another challenge has been the limited communication. Most interaction is restricted to quick exchanges at drop-off or pick-up, and calls are typically returned when the staff is available. There's little feedback unless you personally call and ask, so it's hard to know how your child is progressing until report cards are sent out. At times, important day-to-day situations involving our daughter weren't communicated to us. Lastly, we didn't always feel the school environment, particularly the front office, was the most welcoming. On a few occasions, I had to initiate conversations after being overlooked which left us feeling more like a number than part of a school community. Overall, the preschool experience was outstanding and gave our daughter a strong academic and social foundation. We're incredibly thankful for that time. Unfortunately, the transition into kindergarten didn't live up to the same standard. I hope this feedback helps other families make a choice that aligns with what they're looking for.

We adopted my niece when she was 18 months old, and she attended this daycare until she was about 2 1/2 years old. We also enrolled our infant daughter here when she was around 3 months old. Ultimately, we decided to stop bringing our children because our daughter was constantly sick. The breaking point came when she became so ill that she had to be hospitalized. One of the biggest concerns I had with this daycare is that children of different ages are kept together throughout the day. In my experience, this creates an environment where illnesses spread easily. Since switching to another daycare, our children are no longer getting sick nearly as often. I also found the enrollment process confusing. We were handed a packet and asked to sign paperwork without much explanation, leaving me unsure about policies and expectations. In contrast, our current daycare thoroughly explains everything before enrollment, so parents know exactly what they are agreeing to. Another concern was infant safety. Babies were often placed on the floor while older children ran and played nearby. This creates a risk of injury and is something that made me uncomfortable as a parent. Overall, I was disappointed with the level of care and organization we experienced. As parents, we want our children to be in an environment where they are safe, healthy, and receiving attentive care. I am grateful we found a daycare that better meets those expectations. This was our experience, and based on that experience, I would not recommend this daycare. I however highly recommend The Learning Experience.

The teachers are hardworking, patient, and genuinely care about the children. They communicate well, go above and beyond when they can, and have always treated my children with kindness and respect. The front desk staff has also been helpful and professional whenever I interact with them. Unfortunately, my experience with ownership/management has been extremely stressful and disappointing. I was informed after the fact that my daughter was allegedly not supposed to attend on Wednesdays and was then told I owed nearly a year's worth of backpay for Wednesdays -- despite never being informed of this policy beforehand by the school or Urban League. During this time, Urban League was transitioning to state control, leaving me with no clear point of contact or guidance. I was suddenly demanded to pay a large amount within a week, which caused significant financial and emotional stress, especially as I was not working at the time. I requested itemized documentation explaining these charges multiple times. Requests for clarification were met with delays, no urgency, or no response at all. More recently, I noticed I was charged during a period when the school was closed, which raised additional concerns. I reached out multiple times last week and again this week with no response from the owner. I was placed on hold for 30 minutes without any follow-up or reassurance. I ultimately had to leave work and come to the school in person just to try to get answers. When I arrived, I waited an additional 15-20 minutes. When the owner finally spoke with me, the conversation was extremely frustrating -- I was repeatedly talked over, the discussion went in circles, and I was unable to finish explaining my concerns. Questions about why my daughter's records show she "started" before she was even born were brushed off with explanations that should have already been resolved, as I had raised these issues before. Additionally, parents were not notified in a timely manner about a child in my daughter's class having strep throat. I was informed about this a week later, which is unacceptable. Whether it's one child or multiple, parents should be notified the same day a contagious illness is identified. I feel stuck in a difficult position because while I deeply appreciate and trust the teachers and staff, the way ownership handles billing, communication, and parent concerns lacks urgency, transparency, and accountability. Parents should not have to chase documentation, wait endlessly for responses, or feel dismissed when asking reasonable questions about their child's care and finances. My sincere hope is that ownership begins to treat families with genuineness, urgency, and authenticity, because the staff and children deserve better support from the top.
